I don't know either since the story is different from the novel. I can make a few assumptions but I am afraid their relationship might feel rushed wih only 4 eps left.
If they decide to cover the plot hole about Kinn forgetting Pete here is how they can do it.
First I wanna say, that in the series Vegas's dad knows about Pete while in the novel he does not. In the preview he asks Vegas to kill him. Of course Vegas won't do it. He will continue to hold him as a hostage. He knows tho that Pete is not easy to break. Vegas will try other methods. In the preview he mentioned Pete's grandmother. He might make Pete lie to her about visiting her once he has the time, which is not possible under those circumstances. Then he can find someone else to take Pete's place as his dead body. That way he can fool his dad , prevent the main family from rescuing him and making Pete's grandparents suffer upon hearing the news about their grandson's death. He can kill three birds with one stone.
The fact that we were afraid that they will tone down the VegasPete arc by removing the sexual asault but they actually made Vegas more sinister and evil in the series.
I did say before he is really fucked up and he has more creative ways for torture, he knows how to get what he wants. I honestly wanna see how he will fall in love with Pete.

I actually agree. I love all of the cast and everyone is talented but I wanted to see more desperation from Porche and Chay when they were kidnapped. It did not feel as he their lives were really at stake.
Bible and Build really delieverd. That torture scene, Vegas' sinister laugh that came from finding pleasure in pain and Pete's laugh showing no signs of submission to Vegas were amazing.
I can't wait either. Whipped Vegas will be such a show to witness. I am rooting so much for Pete to do as he pleases with him. vegas deserves a bit of suffering after everything he will put Pete through.

pete is strong and that is one of the main things that got Vegas' attention. He admires Pete's strong spirit. Pete is not someone who submits easily, he broke in knowing he might get tortured and killed. He knew what to expect.

I do think he is more twisted than Vegas. Durng the torture scene I was expecting to be terrified by Vegas' finding pleasure in inflicting pain but I was terrified by Pete smiling and laughing. He was creepier than Vegas ever was till now. I mean he is the only one who got to tame Vegas and turn him from a demon to a lovesick puppy. The power Pete holds is too strong.

Pete definitely has a dark side in him, and it has been hinted too, it has been hinted too that he is a masochist in the series but I don't think he enjoys actual torture. I don't think there is a person alive who would want to be on the verge of death, or at least Pete does not strike me as such. He is a strong person and he just enjoyes ruining Vegas' plans. He does not want him to let him have his way.
