Love at first wrist grab...

This drama feels like the fantasy of an old house wife who just found out here husband was a d*** who cheated on her and is now wondering what if she had put herself and her career first... maybe gotten together with a younger guy, with the cold cool musician she once saw...

The female lead is supposedly smart, successful, fun etc she has some pretty big trust issues, princess syndrom and well seams pretty stupid at times... there is definitely a lack in communication skills here.

The male lead, is a cold, pretty good looking and has an intense passionate gaze... The guy also lacks all verbal communication skills but is completely fluent in wrist grab as well as sack of potato lifts.

While I do see that both have a lot of tension I never really understood when they fell so passionately for each other? was it in the censured scenes not available for us? or was it a spell? does she have a thing for wrist grabs? Does he have a thing for drunk girls? I am not sure?

But dude does not seem to be able to communicate at all. not in the beginning, not in the middle and not in the end dudes lack of communication skills are constantly there... luckily the girl likes wrist grabs so they seem to work things out anyway... most of the time.

The second couple is an immature pair of on and off... the second housewife fantasy... Both feel like 13 year olds and not like consenting adults, making the paring feel very off...

The second male lead is as manipulative and evil as a second male lead gets, you will probably not get SLS here.. you may ship the FL with one of the girls in the drama as they seem to actually be able to communicate with each other but since the girls do not practice wrist grabs I would advise you to just let that thought go...

There are a bunch of other rivals who show up here and there, unnecessary conflicts and a bunch of business stuff that make 0 sense but cause drama . There are also a bunch of lovely gestures, fantasy stuff that work on screen but do not do it for me... at all.. there is some slow mo stuff, waves, fire works , men who can both clean and cook women who can work but not clean or cook...

So if you are looking for wrist grabs, passionate kisses, gestures and mindless fluff... with a dash of WHAT the... go for this , if not move a long...

P.s the dubbing is also off

Darker, deeper more bloodey ok 2nd part.

The second part of this drama took the otherwise "light" plot and turned it darker, much darker and wondered in to the depths of the psychopaths mind in a beautiful display of blood and art. Giving it a completely different feel to it and making it smart, kind of disgusting and pretty interesting... Consequences of actions unfold as the screen is covered with blood, lots and lots of blood.

But then came the cringe of the last episode a long with some cliches so I found myself lowering the score a bit.

It is still a relatively good watch that does not take the issue of suicide lightly while exploring it from a whole bunch of angles... one of the better attempts but it just misses its mark...

There is a clear difference between the 2 parts, not enough to motivate splitting it in two but the two parts are indeed very different. the guest actors keep on impressing and there is still just a little bit to much yelling and crying out loud for my personal taste...

What can i say, get ready to explore some gore... And watch out for that last episode.

Not a very good sequel,/spin off nope not very good at all...

This is pretty much what you get if you take the Adams family, give them superpowers add a bunch of odd stereotypes, put them in mission impossible goes honest and becomes a cop show honestly any cop show will do put them all in a blend/word mix app and ta da you got this show.

The most interesting character in the whole show is the villain who is not only fine but is the only one with a story... Dude is as evil as evil gets but he has his reansons and if only he were the male lead, maybe just maybe Nam Soon could have turend the bad boy good... or we could make a copleatly different story just for him maybe have him date the mom in reverse K2 type deal or maybe just give him a different lead to fall in love with all together... Anything would probably have done and uped the score from this otherwise pretty boring mess...

That said there are some moment of interest and intense stuff some of the friendships here are nice and the mom and grandma have their moments. The. grandmas guy and the cop male lead have thier moments of sweet but to be honest t he cameos 3 seconds of Bong Soon probably stand for one of the stars in this rating.

So if you loved the first season for it's chemistry and fluff, You are bound to get disappointed as it is just not there...

Rapunzel, Ursula and the Evil Capitalist House of Cards

What do you get if you cross Rapunzel with The Little Mermaid And Shopping King Luis and throw in a bunchh of annoying characters.... Well I guess this, this is what you get...

The Male Lead has some good sides to him (other than his smile) as he starts out as goodie good, good guy... poor unfortunate guy tries to survive in this world turned cold male lead with a hint of cruelty (just a hint). But after a while he turned in to this softer than soft guy who speaks sooooo slowly an mildly that it triggers my gag reflex. Think Kindergarten teacher meets priest in an afternoon special type of voice and character.

The Female lead is portrayed as childish but in a non annoying way, she is smart just not used to the world and looks at the world with these amazing curious eyes and does not need to be spoken with as if she was a toddler. She is powerful and ambitious, dedicated and so on...

The rest of the cast series in annoyance, and are mostly an unstable bunch who will love you one moment but hate you the next and vice versa. The truly evil characters are more evil than evil... Some evil characters start evil but go good... Other good guys turn out mmeee .... Those who go from good to bad seem to cast a spell on the rest as they are easily forgiven. But I will say that the evil psychopath of this drama is very well casted.

There are a lot of intrigues in this dram stuff happens all the time.... Some is interesting some not... most of my interest was taken away by the seemingly comic relief characters that just kept annoying me and the romance just felt wrong. Well filmed and fluffy with a guy who does actually seem to be kind and grasp most of the basics behind consent but it still felt just wrong.

Nothing I would recommend but it was fine for me though I will admit I ff some parts....

Everybody loves Yumi... including Yumi

This drama has some reallay nice scenes, some sweet romance here and there and a guy who seems to be just a little bit to perfect to be true... And probably is not quite as perfect as he seems.

There are a bunch of highly annoying characters some highly lovable characters but mostly a bunch who seem to act as fillers here and there.. there to make us wonder, keep us insecure and keep us guessing... However at one point it goes over bord and just becomes meeh...

The cells have been upgraded from season one, but the conflict and passion has been highly reduced and this season could easily have taken 8 episodes to complete if it weren't for the unnecessary fillers and conflicts here and there that made me like Yumi just a little bit less.

All that said, I do not regret watching this and will probably watch next season as well... if there is one.

Fluffy, but repetitive and boring

I love fluff, I love the male lead and I love clichés but non of this can save this drama as it is repetitive boring, predictable and has 0 contact with reality making me wonder if the writer ever met an animal, much less a vet.

The leads are actually pretty decent, the annoying characters and elements are surprisingly low and the realtinships in this are actually not bad. But there is this whole detective theme to this that makes me wonder when the vets actually have time to heal animals if they are off exploring mysteries all the time.

I really do want to watch this, just so I can finally see the leads fess up to their emotions but something tells me Ill have to sit thrugh another 14 episodes of nothing interesting to get there and I doub't it will be worth it as their chemistry is just not that great to begin with...

Roupers in the House...

This is one of those dramas that is a little bit hard to rate as it has a lot of good but is cluttered by annoying characters and low, really low humour that at times made me cringe as well as could be interoperated as a bit offensive.

As the drama has lots of gossipy over the top characters . those who like the tenants n Vinchenzo, and the village people in Hometown chacha chat will probably love these too. I on the other hand get really annoyed by them. And my oh my there is so much gossip in this dram that you may come to the conclusion that the best move in life is moving out to a desserted island to live alone...

However I do like the Gilmore girls dynamics between the mom and the oldest daughter. I especially love the daoughters stubborness, coffee addiction and the way she interacts with her male lead.

The dog is cute as a button,

While I say I like the daughter the most all 4 leads as well as the relationships, flirting, dynamics and what not are relly, really good... Give or take, as a few moments that made me a bit mad and oh how I wish to see someone stick to the hate... but overall these are not bad,.. not bad at all.

Office romance at it´s finest + Girl Power since Men are Evil

This could have been a solid 9,5 or a 10 if not for a dip or maybe a few wrong tunes towards the end that just took this otherwise very enjoyable drama and just cluttered it with propaganda (not that there wasn't any before that but it just became too much), anticlimactic endings to well built up side plots and a bunch of meeh.

That said the first 35 episodes or so where packed with frustration of the best kind, romance, gazes, humour, cold vs hot... discrimination, friendship, fight the bad guy spirit... handsome male leads, gorgeous female leads, playfulness and so on. Yes there where a few annoying characters and situations but they did not take away from the amazing job the leads did in this.

The main villein of this drama is a man who is as shallow, two faced as it gets he will stab you right in the back while smiling warmly and making you trust him. He hates women for som reason, not really sure why and is cheered on by mostly silent men who just do not say anything and other men who also hate women. He is so bad I kept wondering what he had on the CEO of the company as that guy seemed pretty decent so why on earth did he keep such a jerk around?

The villains sexism and actions made way for a whole lot of feminist lines, an interesting speech, some important dialog and observations and female lead who shows how f*** hard it is to survive in a workplace where men are the norm. As our female lead is indeed portrayed as s super natural force of bad ass, yes she may be vulnerable at times too but overall she admits to her mistakes, takes the way, way, way to harsh punishment thrown her way, breaks down for a moment and then gets back up and fights over, and over, and over again... As her sense of justice may need to be toned down a bit... This could of-course have become repetitive and boring but nope, it had me captivated interested and MAD oh so MAD most of the time (in a good way) . The way she handles the male lead, her family, our villain and the western jerks of Australia with confidence is hilarious and I dare say she is probably my favourite c-female lead at the moment (I am just going to pretend those last 5 episodes or so never happened).

The male lead is cold, he has a lot of control issues and had me 80% frustrated 20% smiles an he has great presence on screen and with all the frustration there was also tension and a build up that was phenomenal. So if you watch this be were the romance is slow paced and frustrating but good and rewarding with one h*** of a kiss when you pretty much are ready to give up on them... So hang in there you will get the reward you want, after that things may go to down the drain again and so on... But you will at one point of this drama get one h*** of a kiss that will have you screaming watch out, and wonder if the two getting enough oxygen?

The male leads best friend is solid SLS material. The female leads mother is the type you will want to shove off a cliff and is probably 90%of the reason I had to lower the score. Though her presence does make way for some good old frustration, as well as some good scenes, my over all take on her is that the show would have been a lot better without her. The male leads mother on the other hand is a sweetheart. And so are the more mature pilot and flight attendant in this show.

So all in all I loved this drama, highly binge-able, Tan Song Yun is an amazing actress and if you have not fallen for her yet you will probably fall for her here. So be-were of the last few episodes but I do hope you enjoy the rest of this drama.

Last Cringe

Welcome to the last cringe a drama about a spoiled brat with 0 personality who losses his sight after an accident and pretty much blames the wrong person for his loss of sight and the lost boy in trouble who ends up taking the spoiled brat on a journey to adjustment in to his new found circumstances...

Along for the journey we meet the cool bad ass all round best friends of both leads, and some other side characters that are better actors/actresses than our brat lead and also got more interesting characters, as mr brat lead may break out of his room adjusting to the world out there while managing to stay a self absorbed brat from start to finish. Seas acting feels kind of off, and I can not help but think that his smiles and tears look so forced that he looks like he is about to shit his pants... However he does do a decent job looking like a person that is visually impaired thus making me feel that boy has hope, just needs more acting classes and coaching beyond the vision part of the character.

Jimmy on the other hand seems to have gotten both the coaching and better lines. He rocked, had a lovely character that if you just put a side some self blame and self sacrifice was both fun to watch, lovable and versatile. Dude had character development, a hint of playfulness, was an all round good person etc

Very little in this story seems proportionate so the story is not very well written, the lines are cringy and there is some kind of theme of going from I hate you to ohhh you are the cutest little puppy, I am sorry I love you... with no process what so ever like flipping a light switch people go on and off and on again... I am not saying people should not forgive but come on you can not go from I love you , I hate you o I love you again without any reason.

Last but not least: Mark, Namtan, Kun and Film deserve better than this drama, they did a great job with what they got but still deserve a lot better.

That said it is an easy binge with a lot of fun moments, just to many moments of oh come on... and cringe... cringe... cringe...

Also: There is some serious Marry Popins bag action in this, as the boys seem to be able to fit awhole wardrobe in 2 small backpacks.

Clichés in Contract with a sweet scent of broken flowers

The opening scen of this dram draws us in a we hear the narrative of a girl who was raised to become a commodity to be sold by entering the contract of marriage . Dark and orange red lights accompany us to the view of Go Kyung Pyo stepping in to the shower while she steps out though the dark apartments door in to a light hallway... Giving us a feel of high end dark and a bit naughty... However viewers are then thrown int to the light bubbly sweetness which is basically Park Min Young. Giving us a story of love, geometry, corporate politics and human relationships viewed from a bunch of angles.

The budget for this drama seems to be pretty big, not only seen by the star studded amazing cast but also bu the amount of PPL to pay for it. As there is so much PPL in this that it is impossible to miss out on it, even though you may be shocked by the missing Subs from Subway and face masks you get cars, Kopiko and the ever folding Samsungs instead.

Go Kyung Pyos character is wonderfully portrayed, awkward, straight forward, introverted to the core, a sweet little puppy and as usual the king of back hugs, there is no doubt that this guy is good at his job making great use of his eyes and slow mo it is hard not to fall for this guy.... Especially when put next to a fluffy cat.. Kim Jae Young also delivered a memorable performance, with captivating flirty smiles, playfulness this guy is the warm bubbly, emotional, perfect contrast to the other guy. Having both the cat an girl between these two was a lot of fun to watch in this highly contracted and respectful (most of the time) love triangle. The addition of Lee Joo Bins character in to the love geometry was the cherry on top for this geometry lover (yes I admit it I love em).

The ex husband/roommate played by Kang Hyung Suk may not have added to the geometry but was amazingly casted, well preformed and made me wish for a spinn off (I rarely want spinn offs) where he gets to be the star of a rising star rom com of his own.

There where a few annoying side characters who got a bit more screen time than I would have wished for taking down the score a bit, however they are manageable and though they did make me reach for the mute button I did not feel the need to skip the scenes with them all together. There are a few decisions that seemed to be there only to prolong the plot without actually giving it any substance, most of the twists were highly predictable but I do not really mind predictability so it did not really bother me.

The umbrellas in this drama are top of the hill... Red warning umbrella was so well used I could not help but laugh at the sight of her. There are also a bunch of good poetic lines here and there, which come off as oddly funny when delivered by the cold male lead. " Broken flowers smell the sweetes" (or something like that) would have felt like a way to slick buttery line if not delivered with a stone cold face.

The story really is nothing new, had I seen this a year or two ago I would probably have rated it higher as it does indeed hava a bunch of cliches and stuff I love but since there is some meeh moments, a few draggy parts , highly mutable parts and other parts that could have been explored a bit more I realised that no matter how much I love the cast and found most of this drama enjoyable I could not ignore them completely and thus settled for 8,5.

So to sum it up, if you like the cast, enjoy geometry and do not mind a bunch of cliches go for it this is a good choice for you.
If you want something new and exiting and hate PPL pick something else.

The Lost and Lonly Ones

This is a story about friendship, family, and an over all feel of being lost... as well as probably shows two of the most lonly boys in all of dramaland.

Yep lost and lonley ones... While I do have some issues with the make up that I otherwise realry notice most of the filming has some pretty decent quality and shots. The monologs and dialog of this drama say alot less than the gazes, mimcs, light and slow mo angles filmed. You could probably watch this with nieter subtitles or sound without loosing the ffel of the story or feeling the leas bit lost. You may even find yourself enjoying it even more (not that I tieied) .

If you are in the mood for something that will make you feel all warm and fizzy inside, this may make you smile once or twice bit the over all feel to it is kind of depressing, and more of a feel things than feel good type of deal.

A decent watch leaving you wanting more and wondering was this all they had to tell or will there be a second season?

Brutally Bloody and a Whole Lot of Broken Bones (and spirits)

I am not crying but I think I want to... As I finish yet another drama about bullying in s. Krean schools I still feel that this was actually worth my time (as you may notice with the high rating).

I do not know if this brings a lot new to the table, as we get to see a bunch of grownups take advantage of kids use them as punchingbags and then blame them for paying it forward by punching others... There is a lot of splashing blood, sounds of bones cracking and legs flying in the air. Plus why take responsabilaty for stuff when you can blame others, done slighlty differently and really good.

Our leads are not always what they seem to be, but the friendships and fakefreindsabuserships are solid. The cinematography is brutally beautiful and the felling of f*** lingers in the air throughout the drama.

I love, love, love the bromance and appreciate the male trio in this as well as pretty much have a huge crush on Young Yis (LEon Yeon) character. Park Ji Hoon and Choi Hyun Wook did a phenomenal job portraying their characters.

A painful yet easy binge, but if you are the slightest sensetive to blood chances are you will have to look away now and then.

Bad acting meeh story and a questionable agenda...

Someday good actresses will choose to star in a GL.. There will also be great writers lining up to tell amazing stories about love, friendships, and mysteries... There will be a great budget there too, great dialog and amazing kisses...

Obviously not in this, this was pretty much 3 sweet moments, a mom that looked to be the same age as the girls... And a story I felt like I had seen in hetero dramas and while I did appreciate seeing a lesbian couple there where just some twists that made me wonder what are they actually trying to tell us?

And what agenda are they actually trying to convay?

Something in this just felt off, and it was not just the acting.

Manner of greatness dragged down by... Something

This is the story of the gorgeous doctor/medical examiner who stumbled on to the lips of an even more gorgeous stranger when he was drunk. After that a whole bunch pf people kept dyeing unfair deaths, girls kept disappearing and both powerful and less powerful people kept wanting to pin this on the doctor and the stranger... and kill them while they were at it... taking us on a journey with more or less predictable twists.. beautiful fight scenes and a lot of gorgeous greens and scenery...

The two men who stumbled on to each others lips, do of course fall in love/lust/suspicion,.. The stranger has this lovely playfulness to him and boy knows both how to flirt and kiss.. as in not a dead fish kiss in sight... giving us som top notch romance... leaving me wanting more of that..

There are som fun friendships, interesting betrayals not many annoying elements... Some corruption, men that hate women, woman's issues.. all stuff I love to watch.. So I should probably have rated this higher BUT... Something was missing, I honestly do not know what it was but I was not captivated and on my toes even though the plot should have kept me there... That special "it" that makes me curious about what will happen next was just not there.

So with all the pluses, and trust me there are a lot of plusses in this drama.... I still could not rate it higher than an 8.

Also the stranger has a lot of great lines and is extreamly gifworthy...

Unique and interesting story that could use a remake to take out all the annoying elements

This story is unique and objectively really good as it deals with several subjects rarely to be told. There is depth, complexity to the situations and some really well written lines here and there, and though I did enjoy many of the scenes I did find this drama cluttered with never ending boring conversations, people shifting blame, people yelling at other bring back my... Whatever they want back at the wrong person + asking someone to bring back their whatever, you should have died instead and how dare you breath when your kid died/killed someone just does not make any sense to me. Making me feel bad for judging their way of dealing with this. But also kind of want to choke them all...

The story itself id you turn off all the (way to many annoying and draggy elements ) is really good so for those of you not sensitive to this behaviour and that do not mind the tag healing, go for it you may really enjoy it, as I am sure I would have rated it a lot higher if I could just pick those elements out of this. So I am for a remake!
