It should've broken his neck, too. A full grown man hanging by a handcuff (a metal one too) would've probably sheared off a lot of the muscle and/or tendons on JHG's hand and slipped through - and at least would've completely destroyed his wrist, OR the tension should've dragged JHG's body towards the edge, while he got the cord wrapped around his neck... thus breaking it.

Title The Untamed Spoiler
hiii so i've already watched this amazing drama but i still have the tu special edition and the two movies (fatal…
Neither of the two movies involve the main leads, so it doesn't really matter which order you watch them in. Fatal Journey is about the Nie brothers before WWX's resurrection, so more directly linked to the plot of TU, The Living Dead is a side-quest of the juniors and Wen Ning (after TU ends). So if you want to learn more on why Nie HuaiSang went to all that trouble, it's FJ first, but if you want to see some more cinnamon buns and ducklings, it'll be TLD, LOL.

The SE is the same as TU, only condensed more around the romance part and with the last scenes in their initial order (that didn't leave any doubts about how it actually ends up, LOL). There are just very few extra scenes, or rather, a few longer scenes, but it's good enough to feed the TU withdrawal symptoms.

But then there's a three-season donghua (animation) that's basically perfect, too, and the audio drama (with NSFW sound effects, LOL), and the chibi donghua MDZSQ for more cuteness, and obviously the novel, where all of the extras will give you what the censorship removed from the drama :D

If this comes up before Immortality airs... *sigh*, who am I kidding, I'm going to watch it as it airs, I mean - Luo Yun Xi and Bai Lu, that's a double trap for me LOL.

I've been trying to find a bromance that can bit this one but it looks like there's none.Someone recommend some…
Err. TU is a bit (like, a whole lot) more than a bromance. IMHO, that is :D

But, good bromances: Be Reborn (father/son dynamics), The Devil Judge (flirty love-hate, veering reaaaaally close to actual shameless BL, LOL), I Don't Want to Be Brothers With You (friends pretending not to like each other), Beyond Evil (cops, no trust), At a Distance, Spring Is Green (teasing flirty, straight romance though), Someday Or One Day (BFFs, time-travel changing things), Under The Skin (love/hate to BFFs, also a bit too close for BL, LOL), Nobody Knows (different class kids becoming BFFs).

Actual BL pretending it's just bromance - Word of Honor, The Sleuth of Ming Dynasty, Guardian, Advance Bravely (all Chinese, all based on BL novels, all censored, LOL.)

Title Reborn Rich Spoiler
I couldn't make it past the first episode (at least not yet), and I didn't even want to commit to it on MDL, LOL.…
Just a curiosity, if anyone's read the manhwa - is JinYoung's character acting for the future DoJoon? It totally looked like he was doing it for someone he cares a lot about, and he even says he's doing it because of someone's "greater need". For me it makes sense that someone is future JDJ... Is he the one?

Title Reborn Rich
I couldn't make it past the first episode (at least not yet), and I didn't even want to commit to it on MDL, LOL. It was just a look-see (and it looked a bit boring.) JinYoung (a cameo?) definitely was a surprise - but even more, Ateez's JongHo's "Gravity" kept me interested. I think this song is hypnotic.

If I get to watch this, it'll be because of this song. So glad they finally released it :D (And now because of the way YT is presenting it, I got to get addicted to EXO's Chen's "Heaven for You" and so maybe - just maybe - I'll take a look at The First Responders.)

Yup, kdrama OSTs are a gateway drug...

There's definitely something about Hua's background, I thought he was being reserved because he doesn't really…
He also played the very shy and naive Mo Qing in The Legends (well, he was so until Zhao Yao was gone), but here there's an extra layer. He always takes that one more second to evaluate how to answer on any given situation, and there are some very small mannerisms and expressions that seem to imply there's something else going on.

I am beginning to like that way of characterisation very much. And now that I think about it, he's not exactly like that when he's around Cai Liang, his best friend, but he IS like that around his parents (mother at least).

It slowed down a bit these latest two eps, but I like the pace. It's not too fast, not too slow, just right. And…
There's definitely something about Hua's background, I thought he was being reserved because he doesn't really know Qin Shi at all, but he explained all philosophy of the life he wants to lead so seriously, and had basically the same attitude when remembering what his father said about falling for his mother - a bit restrained, not a lot of reaction (though he's still so expressive, I like that a lot), and so on - he acts like he's a bit on the spectrum and never ever becomes too emotional for any reason at all (or so far anyway). Only 6 friends / important contacts though - that's pretty sad, all things considered.

On the other end, the girls go to town on that beer or whatever it is, and yay, because of that, later we get skinship! LOL (I bet that was pretty awkward to film, props to them anyway!), and then have heartfelt drunken girls' talk...

Seriously, the lawyer part continues to give me Ally McBeal vibes, but the women are so well put-together they could be models, each and every one, so I guess I'll just enjoy the view and miss a second here and there when it's about office politics. The ex seems genuinely interested in FeiFei, I hope he doesn't turn out to be scum to her. If there's any feeling remaining between him and Qin Shi, I guess it's turned into resentment so far... with maybe a bit of competitiveness now that Yang Hua appeared.

If Hua's mom now knows it's an arrangement, wouldn't that void the whole living together before marriage thing? Weren't they supposed to pretend well enough to fool her? Now she knows, she might relent regarding Hua, and the whole deal is off. Right?...

Title Shadow Detective Spoiler
This should be in spoiler tags.
I'm not going to play semantics, but seriously, in the very first episode it's apparent that KTR is corrupt, his friend the first victim is also corrupt, their boss and friend is corrupt and that at least police officer Kwak (Chief Seo's right hand) is also corrupt. Add to that the whole development committee is also corrupt.

Having watched the drama, you can now see that basically there are no good cops or officials around in that city (or if there are some who might seem a bit cleaner, they tend to have grayer morals or ethics - like SungAh doing whatever KTR asks of her, because she trusts him, even if it might be possible he's actually guilty of quite a few criminal acts, or the newbie immediately spying on his direct team leader and even installing illegal surveillance cameras, for example). My comment doesn't "out" anyone for corruption, it's the usual wide-brush generalisation. To call it a spoiler might be a bit too much, IMHO.

But that's the beauty of the comment section for any drama, after all :)

I actually didn't say in the open that the focus changed mid-drama, just that I liked the initial setting better. How it changes is not mentioned (or not by me anyway) unless under the spoiler tag. I thought it was about the untied threads (that have time to be addressed in the second season, if they make it as a direct continuation of this story.)

I'll leave it as is for now. If you want to report it so that mods change it or delete it, that's fine by me, but (IMHO), it would really be unwarranted. Thank you for explaining it for me :)

PS. Just to explain myself better - I actually really liked the initial setting of police corruption and having a corrupt (for real, not the trope of corrupt-but-not-really as per usual) cop as a main character.

But then there's basically NO good cop? And we're supposed to emphatize with the whole bunch of corrupt a**holes, why? So yup, I did get a bit dissatisfied with how it ended.

I am not sure I got all the details, as it suddenly went from creepy mysterious killer to full-blown conspiracy,…
I finished it. I'm not going to spoil it for you if you haven't watched it yet, I'm a bit mad, but not because of a major cliffhanger, so there's that. But IMHO the first half was better than the second half.

Nope ,, he's not , watch the finale
He's not the accomplice, but it gets worse. There is an accomplice, left for season 2. Watch it.

It's pretty similar in aftertaste to One Ordinary Day, IMHO. I guess this is SK noir now.

Title Shadow Detective Spoiler
So... I liked it MUCH better with the original revenge plot. I could care less about everybody being dirty in…
KJH being crooked because his son is sick, like seriously? Is his son still alive, BTW? Is he still married, or did he get divorced/separated from the wife?

And he starts the whole crusade on such a PERSONAL level (yes, digging up dirt on Chief Seo, but still, he and KTR really did go way back so at least in that sense, the personal revenge really did make sense) and THEN it's revealed it's actually something he's manipulated into because he sold his soul to some DEVELOPER? Like, REALLY?!

What I take from this for the next part/season is that his accomplice is the one who shot him on command from whomever, that the newbie is still not in the clear (neither is daughter's husband) and someone who's very into knowing how things happened wants to take over from manipulating KTR. To be continued.

What I HATE about this is that all the crooked cops are SO friendly. I mean, KTR suffers deeply for his crooked friend who died first, then for the crooked friend whom KJH killed, and is scared for crooked Chief Seo, too, because we don't need moral heroes any more in dramas. They all have to be dirty and do senseless acts because otherwise the depression afterwards wouldn't be as deep. Dammit. I want noir, and I know it's supposed to let you feel hopeless and less empowered, but I HATE it when while they're doing those acts I'm supposed to be empathetic to their plight because WHY? Why would I care about all these crooks who used to be good cops but strayed, and now they're all dead, imprisoned or blackmailed?

I could care less. And then they have KTR CRYING for KJH because why the eff?! Crying for his lost youth and innocence? Four hrs ago he was fabricating or neglecting evidence, so that people like KiTae got to spend 5 years in prison for something they're innocent of, or the poor girl's mom had to look for her for 10 years in despair just because KTR didn't feel like finding real evidence.

WTF?

So... yeah. I am that TINY bit annoyed with the message of this drama, and no, I don't think everybody is redeemed because they suffered and feel pain like everyone else, or even die. Eff corrupt cops, corrupt officials and brotherhood between corrupt people!

Okay, rant over. *sigh*

I might watch the second season but for now, this left kind of the same taste as One Ordinary Day did, for me - things happened, but in the end, much of it was meaningless. To me, anyway.

if hyuseok filmed his own death then how did his video is in his burner phone? and how did that phone ended up…
Auto-upload to the cloud. KTR accessed the cloud drive, I think. The phone ended up there because... magic! (Technically, he could've shared the cloud between the burner and his own phone and left the phone or burner at the tavern.)

But then I'm not the script writer and that's not the only unexplained thing...

It’s not too bad. ML is in his late 20s and FL is in her early 30’s so the characters have a 6 year age gap. The…
I haven't watched any trailers or spoilers ahead, but at this time, based on the hints from the first 6 eps, I think he WAS involved in finances officially in some firm, and something really bad happened to make him quit. He was in securities, so maybe he got blamed for something and banned from the finance world, in which case his name in a trading account would be poison. Therefore, he might've borrowed his mother name and phone numbers so that he didn't attract too much attention from whomever.

I guess we'll see in a while how close I got :D
