Okay, ep6 was pretty sad. Though it sure was a sight...

...Or just have nightmares starring his killer, I guess.

So now the chairman who wanted to steal the software is dead, CTS is in the clear. But will the inventor still get swindled off his rights? I have this hope HeeAh's dad wouldn't do it, but he's an old fox in the business, such things wouldn't be much of an ethics problem for him. And I don't like how CTS said that meant the app is still in his power through HA's dad company. I guess he set it up for being bankrupt or easily transferred via that billion-dollar-debt thing... but one can still hope.

It's rather clear now that Min Soo knows about the future... Did anyone send him back too, in order to help Hee Woo or deal with CTS in his own way?

Does Mrs. Han (ex Bad-Shinigami-no-cookie-girl-in-red) know anything about it, or is she trying to fight back against CTS from the inside? I guess she dies in the end - or no Death God - but her in this timeline looks pretty worn and stressed, she might take the fall for whatever Hee Woo and company do to CTS at some point...

So much to see in the future eps, and the PASTAndfuture sweatshirt appeared again LOL.

You know a series is good when you finish this week's episodes and realize you now have to WAIT until next week, dammit.

The ED song for the last two eps at least wasn't released yet, right? It's not "Bring It On" and sounds so much more savage, can't wait for it.

I'm saying this again, Hee Woo and Han Mi so far have the best chemistry. And then there's Min Soo :D

Might be... Still waiting for the release of the OST. But it's still in the beginning, it'll take a while *low-key whining here*.

First things first, WHAT is the OST theme that sounds so epic and it's already been played a lot of times with different versions? It sounds SO familiar but I can't place it, I hope they release some of the BGM OST themes already. Some of the songs are out, that I know, but not the one I want to listen in more detail.

Second, he's wearing a sweatshirt that says PASTANDFUTURE and I read it PASTAndfuture LOL. I guess I was hungry for a bit there. But I can't stop thinking about the brain reading whatever it wants LOL.

Third thing, the story finally settled into something extremely enjoyable, and if it indeed returned to the ways of the manhwa, all the better :D I like this groove they've got in ep3, and the makeup isn't even so extremely noticeable any more. I hope they keep it that way.

Fighting, AML!

He definitely looks like the kid who was marrying her younger persona back in Joseon days.

But her red strings are torn, which according to the drama means either her or him killed themselves. As he's a Reaper and she ended up in Hell originally, it was probably her. And her - and Ryung Goo too actually - each seem to have a promise from The Empress. She - Mrs. Koo - might be looking for her soulmate.

Or it might be someone completely different.

If you'd like to learn more about the Nie Clan of Qinghe and about the relationship between HuaiSang and MingJue, you could watch "Fatal Journey". It shows you some interesting interactions between the brothers - and emphasizes that NHS is actually, rather bright unlike his later public persona, and also lets you know precisely why and when and how NHS realized what Meng Yao was actually doing.

NHS is not actually a villain - he knows he can't afford to practice the sword of his clan unless he wants to die in madness like all the profficient cultivators of Nie Clan, but he also aches for revenge... He can't do it by his own physical power, but he knows who CAN do it - WWX. So he starts planning, years upon years, before it all begins in The Untamed.

The novel shows him as really not interested in powerplays, except in the problem with Meng Yao. But he is cruel in many ways during his revenge - saving the prostitute and keeping her prisoner for years, helping Mo XuangYu escape from the Jin Clan (with the resurrection book, knowing perfectly well what it'll be used for), freeing the sword spirit to do its work among people, and especially tricking Lan XiChen into stabbing Meng Yao... but it's all warranted, in his mind... it does take out the master trickster, but for HuaiSang, it's all because of MingJue.

I love his character, no matter what. They are all flawed in some ways (in the book it becomes more clear that most of them have some gray shades), but he's the only one who can face Meng Yao at his own level and win.

Yeah, Tang San was good, but Ji Chong had that rogueish smile and the long legs LOL.

If it's one thing I hate about the costume dramas is that usually it involves people in those long nice robes, and much less people with form-fitting clothes LOL. So a good-looking rogue always is a bonus :D

Unless that would have caused the loop to end forever, thus... The End. LOL.

Wait until you find out who is his mastermind opponent LOL. Don't read any spoilers if you can, so that the surprise hits better :D

What do you mean, WWX is supportive of WangJi in the beginning? It's more like the other way around, because WangJi doesn't need support, LOL, WWX does, though he won't ask for it.

As for why is WWX TEASING WangJi all the time in their teenage years... Well, he's a mischievous kid and likes to tease serious-type kids. And LWJ is the mould for serious types.

WWX is pretty friendly with everybody, at least until they pass his red lines - he's friends with basically everybody in Cloud Recesses, reaches out to the hated Wen Clan members, has an open mind about everything and everyone around him. He doesn't like or befriend bullies like Wen Chao or killers like Xue Yang, but everybody else is fair game.

RE: Word of Honor. That was another good one, and they got away with MUCH more than The Untamed did. TBH, I kind of didn't like WoH in the beginning, and still don't like some aspects of it (particularly needing to have so much background info on certain characters that appeared little in the drama OR the novel it's based on and it's never explained who they are and why they're important, and have their own stories that are separate), but I don't compare the two dramas, because they're definitely planned and filmed and acted very differently. I'm just happy I got to watch them both :)

If you haven't seen it yet, I recommend The Sleuth of Ming Dynasty, it's cute and funny and serious at times, to complete the perfect trifecta of Chinese BL wuxia/xianxia :D

That's called being a good actor.

He also acted (as support character or SML) in other dramas, before and after The Untamed, and he managed to make all the characters believable and interesting.

My personal favourite will probably forever be WWX, because I love an "untamed hero" as Meng Yao put it, but Gu Wei is already a close second, with Ji Chong in third place (so far). I hope his character in The Longest Promise is good, and that the plot makes it something outstanding, I really like XZ in costume dramas (yes, even in Joy of Life, though obviously the main cast keeps the spotlight there).

A good part goes to how the character is scripted, too - in The Untamed, the novel is amazing and I would SO VERY MUCH love to see other MXTX novels brought to live action drama (please please please with a cherry on top, I NEED a live-action version of Scum Villain's Self-Saving System LOL).

They were the same person until that morning - but the younger KHW didn't have to spend years and gather the memories and experience of the older KHW. If everything moved normally, he'd have reached the same time and same personality as the older KHW. He (the younger) is not being replaced, he's just jumping the years of accumulating experience. He himself did accumulate it anyway.

From now on, though, he gets an informed choice of action depending on what situation arises...

IKR? His FACE, LOL. And CJW high-tailing it out of there like all hell was going to break loose and then the perfectly cut scream LOL, the best epilogue so far!

Ok, the epilogue to ep 3 is still pretty funny :D

Revenge stories are full of cliches, and not even manhwas or dramas based on them are spared, LOL.

I mean, take for example W Two Worlds - the original story of Kang Chul (in the W manhwa) is PRECISELY what happens to KHW in his original life (minus the extra cash). Parents dead - check, tragic growing years - check, a desire for revenge - check, fighting a hugely powerful enemy - check, becoming a vigilante/LEO - check... It's even the same origin story plot of Batman, LOL. And I imagine, of plenty more other comics, manhwas, manga, etc. Not even the reincarnation/rebirth part is new (Rugal, Black, Tomorrow, Guardian, shall I go on?)

That's just how the genre works.

Now, they could change things to make them more fresh and palatable, but then it wouldn't be an adaptation of the manhwa, and it all depends on what they set out to do - adapt the manhwa or write a new story vaguely inspired by it. I guess they chose to adapt.

It's a hard break, going from an amazing character in FoE to an almost 2-dimensional KHW (so far), but it's still early, depending on how good the writer is, this could get amazing too, or just remain in the boundaries of the genre. Still a fun, action-filled story so far.
