Yes. In reality, the chances of a character like the ML staying with the FL, especially after the last episodes are exactly zero. This is the usual wish fulfilment that is once again being shown.

The ML does have flaws but they get invalidated in a way because his actions towards her are very unrealistic; he accepts things no adult, successful man would. His career line is good and that's actually a well done part of the story.

To make a bad thing worse, she actually hits him and that's ok with people here because physical violence is awesome and a verbal and physical assault is a great way to reach traumatized people /s

I am sorry to say this drama took a major dive in quality for me. I was enjoying it very much but the FL characterisation is a major no for me. Can't be helped I guess, hopefully in the future cdramas will drop this type of immature female characters as something desirable. Me, me, me is not an endearing trait. I suppose it would be more acceptable for me if she were in a relationship with another very young adult but like this? Absolutely not. Pity. Not to mention the whole violence thing.

I am happy people love it but I won't lie that it's nice to see someone who understands me about these. It gets so awkward sometimes because most love them, gush about them and then there is me with a well. Um. Yes, no.

Ok now I am going to quit watching and pick it back up again once this mess resolves itself. I love this drama but I have NO patience for stuff like the whole SML story and I don't want to have the show soured for me, especially if this drags on. Also usually I start feeling my IQ dropping when these plots occur. This doesn't make the story interesting for me, it makes me want to drop it. Anyway, I will indulge in the amazing OST and rejoin once the air is clear.

I agree. Iirc she was abroad? So I think she exemplifies those young people around her age where they think they know everything, hence my mention of arrogance. She probably thinks she is experienced, she has seen the world after all. She is somewhat aggressive in her behavior but it all comes down to the same thing, foolish arrogance. I really dislike characters like these and tbh irl I used to avoid people like that. They can cause so many problems. I think this is where the age gap is coming into play. Her methods are extremely juvenile and the arrogance is also arrogance of youth. Hopefully it gets sorted out quickly.

It's hilarious that she is talking about Ace Troops when she was on that board while the show was airing and trying to stir trouble there. I find her funny because you have got to be desperate for your fave to jump from one drama to another of xz's and spend hours on hating. Ouch, imagine having that life. Or not having it 🤣

One of the reasons I am not a fan of romance dramas is that internal conflicts and jealousy are all the screenwriters know how to write. Hopefully they don't drag this out, it's been amazing so far.

I think he did need to improve. There were some aspects where he could have done slightly better and he said so himself. It's not really about his own perfectionism, he was right. He did remarkably, and imo the most difficult moments of WWX were his best work in CQL so it's not like I am criticising; overall he did amazing and I think CQL was a gift to him because it showed him that yes, he has the talent to produce masterpieces. But that ability of honest self-analysis will do him well. There is no ego there, he knows he is on a journey, just like all the best actors.

In fact, the only true obstacle for giving us more iconic roles is going to be finding appropriate scripts. This is a big problem in China, often reiterated by the best and veteran actors. We can only hope it will all work out as he has the hallmarks of a true master. My wish of course is that one day he works in an international production too that will show his talent to even more people.

This isn't just because of Qinglang. It is because a certain other drama started airing and it didn't go so well.

The only thing that mass down voting of this drama does is show that you, yourself who do this, believe that your idols are incompetent actors & actresses who can't produce a decent project so you have to "defend" them in this way.

It doesn't really affect either XZ or YZ but it sure does say a lot about you. Damn, I would be embarrassed.
