I have been thinking about the bridge scene and Shi Ying and happy memories and I just realized that his last five years were spent living in a graveyard. I don't know why I didn't fully realise that before. Too depressing for my heart, I need chocolate.
When it comes to Zhu Yan it is because her perception is that she caused his death (and the exile and suffering…
It happens! I think the events described there were pretty overwhelming.
Tbh the biggest impression on me was left by the scene with his father and mother. It is very clear by what his mother says that his father knows it is not his fault but is choosing to let him take the fall anyway because otherwise he would have to admit he was duped by the concubine.
It is/was horrific for me that a parent can simply discard a child like that for their own ego. Of course then comes the fire and everything about the prophecy, easy to see how it slipped your mind.
Ummm tbh i dont really understand why ZY is so obsessed with trying to revive Shi Ying when they only encountered…
When it comes to Zhu Yan it is because her perception is that she caused his death (and the exile and suffering of his mother). When he defended her, it started the chain of events that ended up as they did, with him dying and his mother suffering. Of course, that's not objectively true but she doesn't know that, her perception is that it was her fault. She was a 10yo kid who suffered big trauma who then thought there was a way to bring him back and undo what happened, alleviating that guilt. So she fixated.
Does this get any better? I liked the kid actors in the first episode, not so sure about the adults... but what…
By the time it gets to episode 8 it is really amazing. The start is a bit slow, everything has to be set up but we are already with all the side characters, leads are interacting, fights, good CGI.
Of course don't force yourself if you don't like it, sometimes things simply don't resonate with you but if you want to try more I think you will be hooked by the time you see 8.
i'm still thinking about the bridge scene π₯Ί it was beautifully portrayed. it depicted about how flowers will…
Yes, the way it exploded was making my shrivelled heart beat faster and all the sparkles when he took her hand, because both were happy.
The difference in upbringing is also shown later because she is too inexperienced and too young to connect his silence to what she just discovered so she gets angry at him after. He can't openly articulate what he felt but she can't read him (at the moment, hopefully it changes).
This drama has many famous actors, and it's one of the dramas I'm most looking forward to..But after watching…
It gets better as the story progresses. At episode 8 now and it was amazing. It has been steadily raising the heat and slowly moving towards the overall plot. Previews are great (maybe check out those on wetv? Not big spoilers that will give you hints).
It's always difficult to decide how much time you should dedicate to something so I can only tell you my honest opinion. Setting up story and characters can be slow but I can honestly say that I don't think it would be a waste. It is really good, 7 and 8 today both stepped up progressively. Whatever you decide, I hope it works out for you.
The manipulation just made it worse tbh.

She does give him half her life span but they are happy and married. It's not ideal but I like the realism.

CGI was so good here.
