No need to force yourself to watch what doesn't appeal to you. But there is also no need to promote other dramas here either.

I absolutely hated the idea of love brain being the reason behind him sparing her so I am very happy they made it abundantly clear that he does it because it goes against his morals. They emphasised quite strongly that she was the one who believed him and did a ritual for him against orders when everyone else spat on him, so what kind of a person would he be, if he stepped on that? So far, the writing is really tight and logical.

There is a reason, he is not really a villain. He and Shi Ying' s father are brothers and he loved Shi Ying's mother but as he didn't get to marry her, he became a priest. So he is looking for revenge because he loved her till the very end, through Shi Ying. He does care for him but it's a little bit of a grey area.

Kind of? He kills the merman, she kills him in return then realises she loves him and revives him as hinted in these episodes, with the spell she keeps asking about but at a price, again as hinted. Half her life span is gone because he gets it. Still a HE.

So the environment reflects his moods. If he is angry, there is thunder and lightning. If he is sad, we get snow and rain. Happy and things bloom. It is really cool. He is the chosen one.

To be blunt, Gulinazha can't act to save her life so I will take a good actress that is less conventionally pretty every day and twice on Sundays. Too much emphasis on beauty, not enough on actual skill.

Ren Min is trying to act younger, Zhu Yan is supposed to be 15 but I think it depends on the person whether that will be effective. It is always a tricky thing when an apparent adult is trying to 'regress'. I am used to that in cdramas so I don't mind because I grew up with it but I understand that many might find it troubling. Maybe that is what is bothering you? I have seen her in a movie and she seemed talented (Cry Me a Sad River, it is not a light story).

Only four episodes for now but yes. No fillers, consistent logic, fine acting.

It's not a Marvel movie but for me they are really good. You have a big scene right in the opening of the first episode which should give you an idea. CGI was done by the team that did Wandering Earth, the movie, effects. Hope you enjoy it!

He is being banned by various Douban group administrators that are fans of other actors.

This has been happening since he became the top star and was the worst during Douluo Continent but it continued on in various groups until WDB where some, only some, of the bigger groups allowed it again.

It is not possible to post on Douban and not know this.

It is not just XZ, it has happened to others too though his case is the most wide spread and worst in severity. It is often because group administrators are fans of other actors so to curtail discussion which is data, they ban him.

His name was absolutely banned and not just his name but also acronyms or nicknames, as well as names of his dramas in most big Douban groups and it only opened up in some before WDB aired. It started after CQL.

The poster above is correct and there is no way anyone who regularly posts on Douban wouldn't know that.
