Lol from China. This novel is not popular at all. Very few people have read it before the news of this came out. It's actually one of the biggest jokes about the drama here, that at least for this one we won't have countless threads of unhappy book fans on Douban and Weibo because the number of them is tiniest of tiny.

This is a page about the drama, not the book. You can try talking about the book all you want but the crew was pretty clear about the changes and nobody in China is bothering with the book. Do what you like, I never said you can't. Reading comprehension is a thing. I tried offering advice on how to get space for your book talk that will otherwise get lost in drama comments. But hey ho, knock yourself out 🤷

You can always create a discussion post about the novel above in discussions because this here is about the drama, not the novel. We did this for Douluo for example.

It's pointless to discuss the novel here when it has been massively changed. The drama focus is on the ML and though some things remain as in the novel, the rest is heavily altered. Also the number of people who have read it is miniscule, and this includes China too, so no, people won't be disappointed.

Yes it is a happy ending.

I thought Lovestruck was good but I still don't understand what possessed him to take on Melting. That was awful. In general I think he's a great actor but his ability to pick good scripts is almost nonexistent. Hopefully this is better.

The FL is a horrible actress, what a bad pick.

The only good thing about this is the FL acting. The drama itself is terrible. The worst drama I have seen this year. I think I finished it simply because I wanted to torture myself.

At this point, this is a 4 at best. I doubt there is enough time left to get my rating any higher. I truly did not expect this would turn out so badly. Pity.

One can never be 100% sure of anything until the official announcement is made and even then, China is interesting.

But currently, it all points to it being his, including news of costume rehearsals being conducted. We don't know much about the script actually so who knows what are the requirements. In any case, August is almost here.
Now if they could please start airing TLP while we wait for this, I would be happy.

The problem in China is that many lick cakes in order to enhance their own popularity and in rarer cases, to try and take over the role.

It's like this for this new drama, there has been a continuous line of actresses trying to rub heat for themselves by releasing various "news" through marketing accounts or melon masters.

It's not and it's also true many have been trying to lick this cake but from anything even remotely credible coming out it is BBH (of course we won't be certain until the boot).

Ignore stuff like this. As soon as you see many wish so and so was the lead actress, it means this is the source.

Nobody is upset and many actresses have tried to muscle in.

I don't know much about the show itself but it's very possible it won't be a typical office romance one. In fact, I do expect it to have a very serious component to it. You see, BBH has been trying really hard to get back to where she once was and looking at her previous work, I think she would not have agreed without it. So as a guess, I think it's going to have light hearted moments but also a serious note.

Goodness, you are not! Absolutely not. It's really difficult to get to know some of these things as an international fan because China really has a unique "culture" when it comes to fan circles and entertainment. It's not pretty and it's really difficult to find your way around. Let me be honest - maybe it's best not to look too closely. It makes for a better fan experience. TLP will hopefully be here soon and we can enjoy ourselves.

Marketing accounts are often disguised as melon accounts, this is a practice that comes from Weibo. They sometimes do have correct information but in essence it's about collecting data, force teaming, directing conversation and similar for the one behind them. Keep that in mind when dealing with them.
