He was 17 throughout the whole drama... right? *uhum* Those kisses could've waited a year or two, don't you think...

I would agree that it would've been boring if it didn't have the hidden identity aspect or have the female lead saving the male lead all the time, aka the typical story. I'm a fan of the hidden identity trope and I didn't really care that the male lead was a "weak lead" until people started pointing it out. I focused more on their romance than the fight scenes. I don't see Jung Ji Woon as a dislikable character, I mean, he was kind. He was just the typical female lead type of guy lol and it makes other people upset for some reason. He wouldn't have received this much hate if he had been a female. People disliked the character Jung Ji Woon so much at the time it was airing that they even sent hate to Rowoon (the actor) just for playing him.

I'm not the first person to say this and I wasn't planning on bringing it up. But when I saw the score I just felt like reminding people who've seen it, and also try to make future watchers stay; not to give up on this drama for this reason. Because reading the comments as it was airing had an affect on my enjoyment of the drama, and I know that if I had looked at this MDL page after the drama had finished airing I wouldn't have start it due to the negative comments.

I still respect the people who don't like this drama for this reason. But I hope that at least one person read my initial comment and thought about it twice before forming their opinion on the character Jung Ji Woon, and also on the drama as a whole. Jung Ji Woon is a kind character. He doesn't deserve this much hate just for being a "weak" male lead character who needs to be protected by our strong female lead character.

I still have hope that Wi Hajoon's character will reappear in s2... ;-;

Haven't checked up on this page since I completed it last year, but the score has dropped a lot huh. I think it deserves an 8,5. I think that people are being too hard on this drama because they don't like the male lead Jung Ji Woon because he is "weak". But if the genders were swapped, this drama would surely have a higher rating... think about that...

Rewatched this for the 2nd time (last rewatch was in 2019) and Kaga-kun is still my favourite... ;-; it hurts... it hurts a lot... ㅠㅠ
