Okay, guys, for the sake of those of us who did not get the express package, please don't spoil the ending!! I'm staying away from all SM until I've seen the whole thing.
What a twist, so XBM’s identity from Haiya orphan to being one of the son of the main key culprit that cause…
We don't know yet if XBM's brother is YeSha. He would have been too young. Only 13 or 14 when he started his revenge. I think the Poison Valley has something to do with YeSha.
Most people will probably rate once it's complete. Also, just not enough buzz about the show.
Oh, that's a horrible way to rate shows. All it does is encourage subpar formulaic shows. Anything that's halfway intelligent is going to drop by the wayside.
Truthfully, those who watched without any expectation of romance are totally in love with the show. It's an explosive storyline, and it's getting more and more intense.
So guys how would you assess WXY acting in "The Wanted Detective" ?
There aren't enough superlatives, especially after today.
But even if WXY hadn't done such a good job, this story is severely underrated. As someone mentioned on the show's page, people have missed the forest for the trees. They've been so focused on the FL, the poisoning, screen time, or billing, they've missed the compelling plot and rich characterisation. Even the art direction is fantastic, and as I understand it, this was not a high-budget series. Such a pity.
Who might have guessed that the "overused plot" (their words, not mine) was the main element in this drama?…
Exactly! I think he chooses his characters really well. And this one is a properly fleshed out character with a visible growth arc and rich relationships.
Is there any possibility of the ratings rising to at least 8.0 by the time this drama ends? I love the mystery…
There is romance. It's just not the fairy tale kind. That would have been so out of place in this show. I can't imagine the serious XBM flirting in the midst of his tragic return.
For any newcomers to this show, ignore the ratings. The intensity of this show is ramping up quickly with each episode. It's well-written, intelligent, and beautifully shot. And the acting is superb.
The more I watch, the more I realise there's some great writing here. The words XBM says to the prince are almost poetic and WXY delivers them so powerfully.
This has all the hallmarks of becoming a cult classic. I'm already sad that only 10 episodes are left. iQIYI should seriously license this to international platforms.
Highly recommend it to everyone who likes thrillers and suspense, but you have to watch each episode carefully. This isn't a double-speed story.
See. This is why I have to watch this all over again.
