Oh I like Noeul. I think he has wonderful comedic timing, particularly with Peat. And that crying scene in his bedroom, I thought that was rather beautiful.

I'm with you on the hair-dye. That's not a Noeul problem though and could have happened to anyone cast in the role. That's a production problem and one I think crops up in Thai BL's a few times. The one I can think of off the top of my head is Win in Until We Meet Again. That drove me up the wall with the constant changing colour and cut!

For the first scene when Payu takes Rain to the garage I get why people find it uncomfortable or say SA but I always think it's not as bad as some people say it is. The world isn't back and white and some people do enjoy a bit of a game.

For me I took my reads of those scenes from Rain. Was he uncomfortable and shocked, yes. Was he scared, no. (I'm not talking about a bit of fear of the unknown I mean terror of something) And that right there made the difference for me.

In terms of their relationship at that point being problematic, could Payu actually verbalised a bit more, sure because he seemed to understand the situation more than Rain. But then pretty much everyone on this planet has had a situation that seemed abundantly clear to them and then they speak to the other person involved and find out they just aren't on the same page and that's how I read their whole first interactions.

I think people were expecting a lot from 2 guys that had literally known each other for 5 minutes. People seem to want to hold characters to this unrealistic standard.

And it's like anything, the more information you have the clearer it becomes. Same with their relationship, we have more info now, we've seen how they react later in an established relationship. So I like to apply that info to previous parts of the story and so then you can go 'oh, that's why he did that'.

Well apparently Payu likes to give good parent! So I like to think he won over Mama Rain during dinner and she's just happy Rain is doing well in school, plus he's not getting into any trouble and she's gained a polite son-in law with a decent job!

I like to think she knows!

And let's not forget when they bumped into Sky and were having the dinner on the rooftop even Sky pointed out that Rain wasn't as committed in his crush on Ple as he was with Payu.

I like the fact we didn't have drama about 'oh no who to choose'

I actually think it's a pretty darn healthy relationship.

I'm guessing his ex. He's mentioned him a couple of times now in the Payu/Rain storyline so that seems to indicate some significance.

Also in the trailer Sky looks to be dragged into some hotel room or something and he's crying in Prapais car.

So yeah guessing personal rather than random

Totally, that seem to be one of the main comments among BL watchers. Well at least the ones I see on a regular basis on these comment boards and other platforms.

I think it's the latter. Prapai keeps trying to ask other people about Sky and in the trailer he asks Rain about Sky so it seem like they haven't been in contact.

Yes I had picked up the 3rd person references from watching the shows, even if the subtitles say I or you I realised the names were actually being said. Although not all the time.

I haven't read the book, I'd rather wait until the show is over. I might not read the book as sometimes I find them very hard going. Not sure if it's the translation or just the style of writing in the Asian BL novels/stories.

Maybe I'll give this one ago based on what you are saying about the Daddy/Boy thing!

Well this coming Thursday it will be ep 7 and the wrap up on the main part of Payu and Rains story so you could catch up and watch ep 7 with us.

Then after ep 7 has aired either continue with us or wait until ep 8 to 13 have aired and watch the Prapai and Skys story in one go. I suppose that sthe good thing about the story being split.

But deep down I'm chanting watch it at you!

Ah yes the context element is a good point. It can make all the difference how something is perceived.

I think tone and intention can be also link to context.

I guess for me the wife/husband thing doesn't bother me for most situations because it's more about them 'identifying' who the bottom and top are and that doesn't necessarily have to be negative. But yeah when it's used in a derogatory way it is annoying

Going slightly off topic but also slightly related. I quite like the Thai term Faen. I guess the English equivalent is partner and yet it doesn't seem to hold the same romantic tone as Faen. Maybe as language changes over time we will get something better.

I heard Payu and Saifah's uncle also has a novel, I think it's the Test Love series.

But someone in the know will have to confirm or deny that! I don't know if I would be interested in that since I don't know what it is about and how much Payu and Rain appear.

But yeah I would be interested in Try Me because Pakin keeps getting mentioned and Payu and Saifah seem to really respect him. It's like who is this mystery man!
