From what I understand, it really was 3 yrs ago when she was "kidnapped" during her marriage and had been living as a Lu Wen's "concubine" since then. She can't remember anything from the last 3 years, only vaguely remembers what happened on her wedding night, 3 yrs ago. There is more to it than that but that is what the audience, for the drama, is supposed to know.
