I remember when he was on Hello Saturday promoting A Journey to Love, they were playing a “name that tune” type of game and he didn’t even recognize a clip of his own song because he had sung so drama many osts. 🤣
I’m in it for my man LXY. It’s decent. Plot for the most part makes sense. Some cliche, 2 dimensional characters.…
Well, POB is definitely better directed. Sadly, I’ve forgotten much of ambf. Ok, looked at it and now remember a bit of it. Maybe this is mid too. The mood kinda follows the the development of their relationship - cute, fluffy and lovey dovey at the beginning but gets heavy with lots of suffering as it progresses and ends with peace and serenity at the end.
This drama is trying to incorporate sins of the beings in the realms causing much of the conflicts and how only by setting each group’s selfishness can peace be attained alongside the strong love between our leads. But it’s just not balanced and feels a bit lackluster due to the overwhelming suffering of the ML and oppression of those in power. Sigh…. However, it ends peacefully.
There’s kissing, caring, suffering, hate, bitterness, sibling love, messed up parents. Bit’s not as choppy as AMBF. I was pretty upset to learn that the screenwriter for AMBF did not make it end with an open ending but that IQIYI meddled with it and forced that ending based on wanting what they thought would be a popular ending.
Watching ep 36, ML suffers again. LXY needs to eat more, his half naked body needs more meat. He is really lean…
I’m not complaining about his lean body… aren’t most of these actors on the lean side? otherwise they wouldn’t be able to look right in the multilayer costumes.
Prisoner of Beauty got picked up by Netflix! It'll premier on Sunday (tomorrow?) https://www.douban.com/group/topic/326234695/?_spm_id=MTU2ODM1ODU0&_i=7449157NXL7FsvThe…
I’m hoping the princess gambit will be more engaging (at least for me).

Anyway, I’ll still watch new dramas with LXY.
