Capitalists lmao... ughh my god... Just how great it could have been if it weren't for them....
That outfit, yes!! Such a fun fact to know it was put on display. Kudos to the costume department. It was iconic, like the montage of her getting dressed and entering the palace. The jewelry and hairdo also enhance her aura. I can't believe she even dared to threaten THE Noble Consort... like damn.... At that point, she thought she had nothing to lose anymore... She has a lot of great outfits; it's hard to choose ahhaahh.
Personally, I think I really like the white, golden outfit with the red outlines, paired with the red and golden embroidered Mamianqun when she rescued Fu Yunxi and went to the palace with the evidence for the emperor. It really suits her overall complexion. The complicated emotion she showed on her face while beating the drums was very moving as well.

Yang Long is indeed good at framing and cinematography, but the scriptwriters need to be thoughtful and detail-oriented as well to produce another drama like The Glory. I hope the best for them as well; hopefully they can collab again in the future.
That production was low-budget, you say?!! The costumes for each character were AWESOME!!! I was eyeing Zhuang Hanyan the whole time!! Like damn, this is totally her best looks!!! Yu Zheng, I'm looking at you!! Every costume was carefully thought through, reflecting the characters and the development stages they are currently in.
The production design as well!! The details on historical robes, garments, accessories, and furniture. They even shot extra scenes just for promotional materials, like that one Zhuang Hanyan's character introduction with her introducing herself as a adoptive child with "doting" foster parents, and her regrets of them being murdered by bandits (Aww~~~ Such a loving daughter...), or when they shot the mother and daughter dancing together in the 剪 MV. Like bro, I bawled my eyes out!! So much content?! WHERE ARE THE REST OF 'EM?!!!
absolutely loved the glory but i am just ??????? with his work on ATC 😬 he excels at family storylines but…
I randomly picked up The Glory a few weeks ago. The same director, but the plot still holds up until the end. I can see his style between the 2 dramas, but somehow, why does ATC feel lackluster compared to TG? How did you manage to make a 24ep drama feel draggy in the middle?!!
I reckon it was probably due to different teams too, especially with the scriptwriters.... I can feel there were a lot more thoughts on The Glory part. Like there are connections; you can tell these scenes were planned and placed carefully throughout the drama. I'm still salty after discovering that it was supposed to be 36 episodes, but got cut down to 30 ep. I saw the photoshoot, and it looks like there is still some plot left as well, especially the truth behind Fu Yunxi's real identity. He's probably related to the Imperial Family like in the novel. I saw one random video of Du Jie saying that Zhuang Hanyan isn't the real Zhuang Hanyan as well, and was stunned... like? SHE'S NOT?!! GOD!!! Why did you cut it!?!!! Ughh!!!
Ahh shi I'm kinda worried about Where the Mask Ends now.... It's also 24 ep ....
Throughout the movie, I completely forgot she was deaf in her left ear until it hit me like a truck when she said, "I'm deaf in my left ear, say it again!" when relaying Bala's last words..... shi-
When I first watched the movie, and Tsuda-san showed up, I thought no way that Tsuda-san showed up for a small role like that lol. I hope they will have a second movie too even though there's not much hope. DX
He is the worst he is nothing he'll get beat up in the last episode by he Yan and then xiao jue kill him in the…
He wasn't killed in the prison lol. He was already taken to the prison by the order of the Emperor. If they killed him in prison that would be against the law lol. He died by a thousand cuts and then beheaded.
1. Yup3. I can't figure out if they've made Rundu the final battle or omitted Rundu completely. 2. You mean when…
Yuh, they changed the surname and He Yan's original name too. In the novel, both of her first and second life, she goes by He Yan (禾晏). Since in the drama, there will no the second He Family, they changed her original name to 何雁 (He Yan), same pronounciation, just different character. After surviving the asassination, she changed her name to He Yan (禾晏) that we know of. Hence why He Rufei's He (何) is different from He Yan's He (禾).

She did lose her sight tho. The poison that He Rufei gave her in the trailer. She was weaken and "killed", I suspect it was He Rufei's right hand man who did it in the trailer, I forgot his name. XD She then was thrown off the cliff into the water and saved by her teacher, Liu Buwang. Since there's no Lin Shuanghe in the drama, the divine doctor title is given to Liu Buwang instead. He cured her blindness and gave her a new identity.
Bro what?!!... Dang... That was emm.. unexpected. XD I was wondering why the two male leads have more screentime and more... Let's say "chemistry" together. Still dang... It was sad bro...
not sure if I understood correctly but does ziyu in episode 28 want to give LMT the title of princess for helping…
Well... He was going to give her a title to thank her anyway, but Cui Xingzhou literally wrote a petition to Ziyu to request a title for Miantang. That's why Ziyu exploded lol. XD In ep 32, she will get a Princess title as Princess Huaisang. This princess title is Xianzhu (县主) kinda like a county princess, not Gongzhu (公主) which is the title for the princess who is the child of the emperor. Huaisang and Huaiyang... Yeah... We all see that.... XD
