Yes….it’s so distinctive. Both soothing and sexy all at the same time. When he was paired with Wang Churan in a different drama, it was insane. Their voice had the same quality. So pleasing to the ear.

And those pouty lips.

You know when a drama is good when it leaves you feeling lost and empty after it has ended. Man oh man I adored the book but I love the drama. Absolutely perfect casting. Loved this so much more than Moonlight Mystique. The ML is such a badass even when he’s at death’s door. There’s so much nuance to his character. As for the FL, she’s his equal in every way. My only complaint for this drama is that, I wish they added more of their back story in their previous life (immortal life) like in the novel. I also needed more white hair SYS screen time. He was absolutely ethereal.

Watched Miss the Dragon for Dylan but stayed for Deng Wei. I was like Dylan who?

Ok Deng Wei is downright beautiful. Like seriously beautiful. Sigh…. SYS is hands down my all time favorite character of his. He played this character to perfection. .

They spent all the money on costumes and cgi. But on the other hand there’s not al lot of extra side characters.

It wasn’t the hair actually, more like one of his hair ornament that reminded me of a merman’s ears or something. But I do love the purple hair. As for TTEOTM the costumes were gorgeous but I found some of the costumes on Leo were too much for him. He isn’t a big guy and he’s also slender so all the heavy fabric and jewelry was almost overwhelming on him. He looked absolutely ethereal in light clothes.

I loved him as Mu Mu. He was like a big puppy!

I started this drama, then paused. With a title like “Everlasting Longing” I better wait for the ending to continue.

My absolute favorite thing about this drama is that, there’s no stupid misunderstandings. Just unwavering loyalty and honesty between the characters. That is rare in most Cdramas but especially in xianxia. I couldn’t get through TTEOTM because it was riddled with it.

While I absolutely love the costume design for LBFAD, this is far superior in terms of variety, luxuriousness, and color palette. I’m not a fan of ARP’s hairstyling though in this. Some of his hair accessories reminded me of what a merman would wear. Dylan’s though just screams sexy elegance.

This scene made me ugly cry. There was such desperation in that kiss, that it broke my heart.

Props to whoever was in charged of costume design! They went all out! Every outfit for both leads were absolutely stunning.

I read it from the link from this page. I don’t know if the translation is from machine (ChatGPT) or from a person. I’m inclined to think that it’s not from a person since the ML’s name changes sometimes and if it’s done by a person they’ll keep the name the same. I just find it strange that Chinese version and eng version is completely different. That is just weird.

Woah that’s a lot different than the English translations in the novel. Like almost a whole different story line. I can understand a novel being mistranslated but this is completely different. In the eng version XXC and MXL (she’s the chaos pearl) already loved each other and the divine realm wanted to kill off XXC using NXY (he’s the fate of humankind). MXL begged NXY to change XXC’s fate but he refused.

Do you have a link to a better translations? I thought this one was already good.

Just finished the novel. I absolutely loved it. Hope the drama does it justice….

Make sure to watch the extra episode though. It’s the perfect conclusion for SOKP.
