Does it get better? Just finished episode 8 and its been underwelming - borderline boring. With a 9.4 I was expecting…
9.4 here is mainly due to watchers whom learnt something and manage to find what this show is trying to say.
You don't see it as a 9.4 because you are still watching as an "outsider" where you probably don't find anything much relatable, and is expecting to have a very nice, funny, or story of fantasy.
i thought that was only me....I saw sooo much hype about this drama and no doubt some scenes I saw beforehand…
It's generally about life lessons learnt regarding on what we took from this drama. Your current take is you watch this as a 3rd party and there seems to be nothing you took back about your life as you probably aren't able to relate
You get it you will get it, no drama is meant for everybody

All of the men are significantly older than the women which is giving me the ick honestly
Nah, all the men at that kind of age are pretty much ready for marriage. Nothing wrong.
It's just a surprise someone as young as born in 1999 also want to look out for marriage at this age. Not saying it's wrong, but in this modern generation, typically people looking for marriage will be in their 30s or late 20s at least. Ji Won is at her prime age where she for sure would have many pursuer without such dating show. It's their personal choice.
?? i mean jimin def deserves a good person. but jiyeon didnt treat him bad for u to say he deserves someone better…
Tbf, Ji Won was interested in him but dropped since he wasn't interested.
But ngl he is the most real person in this imo. I like how he pays attention to details for the person he is most interested and stuff. I don't think it matters if anyone else is able to appreciate his charm since he is only 1 direction dedicated
Btw why does Seung Won's Dad feels like his whole family is a burden. Even eating outside also not happy, blaming his son. Does he have a mistress outside or what? Or his family already knows he likes boys and Dad isn't happy about it?
Late to the party but Ep 1 got me hook. FL is kinda essential to the plot for plot holes despite many says she is annoying. Will see how it ends for now though it's China so I obviously know there is no real BL and have heard about the ending
Yes, happy ending. All happy ending.Spoiler below if you wanna know what kind of happy ending they all have
FL dad got together with Ziqiu's mum, making FL and Ziqiu kinda officially become step siblings (Family)
FL and ML are a couple, making ML's dad FL's father in law although she has always already regard him as another father of hers. All these people have 1 family portrait at the last episode
A lot of wonderful things has been said about this drama and I couln’t agree more! But if there’s one thing…
Twinkling Watermelon ain't overrated imo
Sure, maybe ending could have been less rush but overall is really well done.
There's 1 similarity these 2 dramas have in common that I thought some WLGYT would enjoy the same for TW and vice versa: The child's realisation to parents' story
High quality film with good music. Great setting and scenery the actors were in to film this.
A few downsides I have are that - it's short despite having high quality cinematography (would have been better if it's a longer BL due to out of place cuts just to fit the short time frame per episode)
- some scenes to scenes are out of place, making me not too sure what story it is telling especially when I first started watching this. For example, one moment they are picking limes/lemons then the next moment they are already in the water for unknown reason. The continuity raises question mark for me. It gets better in the later episodes however.
- couldn't really catch the story in the first 2 episodes especially since overall it's short with average around 10 mins per episode minus credit scenes for 7 episodes in total.
- poor fonts used. Some words are hard to read, the opening and ending quotes are very important to the story.
Episode 1 to 5 are mainly interactions while Episode 6 onwards are the real deal. The interactions between the 2 MLs were lovely to watch. Great BL, somewhat lacking storyline due to out of place cuts, but overall I do catch what this drama is telling, especially in the later episodes onward.
They are probably not Asian

Cinematography Quality wise this one is kinda lower, but case quality seems to be higher since 1 case can take more than 2 episodes to solve.

Nice background music used too
His anxiety, worries and upset all gone after seeing SW and his face.
Seung Won so cute

Rating ain't high because of main actress(es) but the realisation that the drama is speaking to us imo.
