The jumping and fleeing is part and parcel of Jianghu Wuxia. Just like flying in the air and healing though stuff coming out of their hands. It's just in China, they don't do many of these dramas anymore so when new viewers seeing this fleeing stuff, it looks odd. Fight scenes with strangers suddenly are part of this genre. The emphasis is different sects, their politics and sometimes how they intervene with the courts, but much of the time, they are living amongst others in a parallel world. Therefore, some of the scenes you describe will seem odd to someone not tune with this behaviour.
I looked over your watchlist and altho ur tastes are wildly different from mine, based on what you like/don't…
If you like Mobius, have a try with Blemish Flaw which is airing right now. It's very fast paced and has many twists and reversals. I dropped this drama in the first episode.
As a Li Yi Tong's fan, I feel bad for her. She seems to be a very hard working actress but doesn't have luck in…
Did You not watch her in A Dream Within A Dream? I would say it's one of her best performance. A Prophet looks to be a very good role for her. I am looking forward to that drama. These Fox Spirit dramas are dated and in the wrong hands without intervention, will easily seem stale and tired.
These types of dramas are usually delayed so don't expect them to pick up straight away. It is available with We TV and Tencent Video but you will be behind if you are not a member.
Dropping 0.2 to 0.3 is normal, but not like this (8.2 to 7.6) & you can see haters give 1 rating to ep that…
I think MDL is going through a transition and it may be, they will use different coloured font like grey colour to show live ratings which is per episodes and then it will turn bold or use black font once the drama has ended, that will be the rating complete.
That will hopefully make it clear to others on how the ratings change throughout the airing period. Also, a system to not allow voting for episodes that are not aired yet.
A separate situation and maybe something to put others at ease is to only allow new-joins to be able to vote dramas after a 6 month period. This may seem unfair, but it may just mean people can vote later once they are allowed to vote. This can hopefully stem any users that abuse the system for doing silly things like using extra accounts for dubious purposes. These same type of users are only interested in initial release of dramas because they are busy fronting rival fandoms. They tend to cool off once a drama has completed.
Chinese gov won't allow such plot (reborn, undoing past mistakes) to avoid their people being suicidal thinking…
Thanks for getting back on that. Regards to Twelve Letters, it becomes pretty evident they knew what they were doing when they were writing and receiving letters. No third party was involved.. That's why I asked because it seems to not be censored.
I will be watching "The Triple Echo of Time" soon, and again, this drama looks to be on 3 time lines and from what I can see, the same character knows or sees himself in 3 timelines in his life. So it would be interesting to see how that plays out. This drama was only filmed not long ago, and already out, and it doesn't seem to be any kind issue.

When I was watching Wild Ambition Bloom, that drama dived by 0.6 overnight. BTW, one of my top 3 dramas of this year. We put that down to not a lot of people watching, so any voting can quickly change the score.
Maybe the same has happened here as the lower the amount of people vote, the voting can be very unstable. Also, a large portion of people don't vote until the end of the drama. Maybe it would be best to see the outcome at the end of the drama.

Sorry to insert into your comment. So essentially, the recently aired Twelve Letters drama is a way to get around rebirth? It's using a letter box to send letters and receive letters to try and change history. I am a bit confused with so many comments mentioning banning re-birth so modern day ones are like Ground Hog Day style theme whereby this is another way of getting around re-birth?
I don't completely agree with your comment. I always say idol style drama if I am categorising some dramas. When I say that, I mean, the main focus is on the main leads and side characters are often filler and don't form part of the plot in a coherent way.
The morals in the dramas are high because it tends to cater for a younger and more impressionable audience, and normally features growth and journey as the central core. The actors don't need to be super young, but the leads normally need to be well above average looking. It's a style, but I don't think it's elitelist.

Do you mean ones not aired on their national TV is OK?
Xianxias are mainly reincarnations and rebirths. I'm told, if it's a dream, that will get around the re-birth storyline. I'm assuming time travel is fine as I have seen numerous time travel being recently Twelve Letters touch on that topic.
I don't understand that. Aren't most Xianxias reincarnations? In Scent of Time, I was told they got round things by making it into a dream, but most Xianxias don't do that. In fact that's the gist of most of those dramas.
I'm assuming time travel is fine, but rebirth is not? Anyone know?
I think the cast list isn’t in the correct order. I remember having to put Xiao Ran in the right billing but…
Thanks for showing me that. I think there are too many titles there and on MDL maybe they don't have all those titles. If they are leaving the rest of the cast as guest, best leave out which episodes they appear as it's misleading and in this case with GJN, it's wrong.
The cast list is inaccurate. Earlier Guo Jia Nan's character Xie Xuan was support role, and now it's guest role only appearing on episode 11. Clearly that's wrong 😉.
wtf are you saying she's just 17 she doesn't need crazy popularity she's a child bro
That's interesting. I don't follow things that closely but have not seen any big headlines over there. In fact I saw a very warm welcome. Many productions now keep an eye on the fandoms, so if this drama still went ahead, I think two things. Not really enough complaints to change casts over or they are the type of production that do not let outside influence their 'art'.

I get your point, but the reality is, inside China they do not see it as a big deal as maybe international viewers. Everyone is entitled to their opinion on this but fact is, actresses before her also started super young in their hey day. So essentially, the question is would they change as this is normal.
If you remember, as far back Guo Jin Ming had already started this by pairing her with a love line at 15-16 years old which is a signal to others to have it accepted and even normalised. Deng Enxi was also in a similar position and if HYTT was not temporarily held back, she too will have been another put with someone much older.
I don't like it myself, but this is often hidden with "he doesn't look that age or she doesn't look that age", so casting directors can use that line when fighting against ones against this sort of gap in age. The issue is not age gap. It is whether she has been exploited by industry insiders that want to push the pre-pubescent look that is in a weak position with someone that is more older, stronger and domineering. Basically, is this a fetish.
Triple Echo of Time is coming out today so maybe check that out. I am expecting it to be quite like this, over 3 time lines meeting and colliding. So a little different but no doubt very soul destroying to watch.

I will leave someone else to do it for now as it's too time consuming looking for links.
