In the novel He becomes a king ，had many wives ,concubines but everything was for political reasons ,he never loved them .Because emotionally he only loved Chu Qiao .So we can say he got power but lived in bitterness which is reasonable .But the drama might give him a happy ending with He Lian Ling which i read from a post on weibo .In the novel HLL wasn't his queen .

Please no minor🙏.I know if the fl is minor there won't be any kissing scenes but i liked the novel and Romance was the main focus of this novel .Also it showed the ml's obsession and redemption .It's not that i like obsessive ml trope.i know they will toned down his obsessive traits compare to the novel which is okay to me. but if they casts a minor that means they are gonna heavily change many things ,like totally whitewashing his obsessive traits 😮‍💨 .
There are many stories with coming of age trope,focused on growth ,friendship ,her team could have choose those dramas instead of this one

The one is getting most criticism is the director himself.
Personally the things i didn't like
1.Too much slow motion 😭
2.In ep 1 when Zhuge Yue pierced by the arrow ,the director filmed it like as if he was standing there intentionally so that yan xun could able to shoot him .But at least LYR's other scenes were filmed good .
2.The scene when chun'er was being abused ,i didn't like the way he filmed it ,using filter ,slow motion ,it felt that he wanted to make it look like chun'er is beautiful even in that scene instead of focusing the suffering ?It was too disturbing .Even on weibo this scene was criticized a lot .
3. The scene when Yan Xun was half naked in ICE Lake ,that scene literally cracked me,it looked like someone from stone age transmigrated in that place .😂
4.The part where Yan Xun was riding horse and leaping over chun'er ,.Even if she was his enemies daughter ,But in both novel and princess agents ,he had never done that .In PA he had no idea what his subordinates did to her later , In wedding day the ruthless thing he had done with her was shaking off her hand .But here what they showed leaping over her with his horse was too humiliating when the road was very wide .I don't like her obsession but these things disturbed me a lot .I don't know whether the screenwriter or director hates woman or not .

Seriously the director should stop using slow motion so much ,some scene doesn't need it

I personally felt he improved from his previous work but i think he still needs more acting classes especially for eye acting when it comes to play a complex character like yan xun .but you brought gege fans will attack if you criticize him but does he even have so many fans?His international fan page barely has 200 followers let alone having toxic gege fans which you are referring .Even in china he has more cp fans because of a bromance drama (the way home ) rather than solo fans

Yes they are same.Li Ce was his name in the novel ,The prequel changed his surname along with Zhuge Yue ,Zhao Chun'er and many characters and the sequal used original names

Now i learned from a comment he got sick to film that scene as the temperature was too low and he was half naked for a long time but the scene turned out like this .i dont know what was going on this director's head.Because He looked like Tarzan or someone from stone age😂

for those who are here for LYR,even though he was billed first ,the plot is female oriented .The first part of the novel was more focused on fl x sml and the second part was focused on fl x ml and also there were some chapters which mostly showed her and Li Ce ,so the fl is the main focus of it .I was spoiled by the drama script before so i knew that LYR wouldn't get much scene in first few episodes as it will be consists of many flashbacks .But he will get more scenes when the plot will be fully focused on present story unless they heavily changed it from the novel .So if you here thinking that he would get more screen time then you might get disappoint.

yes won't deny that his all fans aren't saint and I don't think there are any big fandoms who doesn't have toxic fans .This is the reason i like to watch artists work and doesn't follow their fandom .
But that doesn't mean everything should be blamed at them right ? If you have talked about his other dramas then i wouldn't comment but if it's LOZH or TLP then i can't stop myself from commenting as i was active during LOZH as well .Note that i watched it for both leads because i liked their acting .During LOZH XZ's fans had pretty good relationship with ZJY fans at that time .Especially on X,i saw them interacting a lot .But in this site There were some random passerby ,ZJY anti,ragebait accounts ,other actress fans ,BJYX cp fandom who hates every xz co star created mess,should his solo fans have to take blame for what those people have said ?If that was the case then during LOZH in X there was many user mocked XZ,body Shamed him and even discredited him by saying ZJY is the only one carrying the full show ,the drama should be called legend of antu ,LOZH hates woman,so then should we say ZJY fans are toxic ?When her fans clarified that those are multi fans ,problematic accounts .

Xia Meng is playing Zhao Chun'er ,Her husband is Li Yan which i already said two times ,didn't i?🙂 .At first she will be obsessed with the sml Yan xun but later she will fell for her husband according to the original script .We can know it after the drama airs.i don't want to say much about the script because it will spoil the story .and it got leaked by internal reviewer .You asked why her lover or husband isn't listed in main cast as she is one of the main cast which is why i replied that chun'er herself is listed as special guest in the original weibo page of this drama ,not as main lead . It's only Mdl page which listed her in main cast list .She is a important character but in this version she might not have much part like princess agents because this version will be more focused on the second half of the novel ,that's the reason they listed her as special guest .And her husband character doesn't have much part according to the novel so he won't be in main character list but In supporting character list .You will find him after scrolling the supporting cast list

I already said in my previous comment that her husband is Li Yan ,He is listed in the supporting character ,You should check it again 😊 .Li Yan is played by actor Lu Mile. And Xia Meng is listed in special appearances list in the original weibo account ,not as main lead .And in terms of the novels plot her husband doesn't have much part so he won't be in main character list

You want to mean if anyone likes Xia meng's character right ?Yes her husband loves her and The kissing scene most probably is between her and her husband Li Yan. Because i find them wearing same outfit .

Not about this site because mdl is a small platform ,but i am talking about FB and other platform where most PA fans are disappointed even before it airs as they can't accept new cast .For example Let me talk about my country's people ,they even have a fan page about PA and actors which is very active group ,where they are posting the stills or teaser of rebirth(the parts happened in PA)and comparing the acting,vibe with PA .Later i saw similar comments on X and many drama groups as well.Even if someone clarified that bringing the old cast was impossible but they are showing disappointing even before the airing .So my comment was to meant to give the new cast a chance and if some of them still can't accept it after the airing or didn't read the novel then reading novel would be better choice to know the complete story
