Tencent is doing dirty with her because it will be then her 3rd drama with rebirth plot .She has potential to do more than that .And of course Xinli media has been dirty marketing because i heard they had selected the ml 3 years ago so all of those casting melons (including Reba,YZ,GJ,TJC,CY,LYN)are a part of their marketing which created so much mess 😵‍💫

we don't know whether there would be minimum romance or not as it is said to only have 15 episodes .
But if it has then most probably she will be paired up with ZSX.

The Male Lead doesn't have half of the screen time of the FL ,even if they increased ,it can't be equal to the fl's screentime .She had to be the center of the plot .They could have make them equal if it was a romance focused fl centric story.Yes the ml is one of the reason for its popularity but if they turned it into male centric or focused more on romance to create more screen time for the male lead (which they did with a certain drama )then it will get backlash from the novel fans.If it was any other popular stars of 95's then it wouldn't be a problem but,WHD,Wu Lei ,WYB,these actors has big fanbase and doesn't take big female centric dramas now.In WHD's recent dramas ,the fl's are looking like guest characters .Don't get me wrong but in GOTF tian xiwei had little screentime and in live long prosper ,the female characters doesn't seem to have much screen time either acc to the novel ,both drama are male centric .So in order to cast him they will surely change the script heavily .
Yes novel fans are toxic but some of their thoughts makes sense .Because most of the time when a production focused more on traffic ,they don't cast the one's that is suitable according to the character description or doesn't cast according who's the center of the plot and their scripts changes to focusing more on the one who brings traffic .

I don't think it will be a problem for him to take a male centric story ,for example he was more popular than wang yinglu but the script wasn't changed to focus more on the male lead .They was 70% loyal to the original novel .Also He has done love beyond the grave which was totally a female centric story .
But when they cast too popular traffic male star ,they turn the story into male centric .For example who rules the world .Now the rumored male lead is WHD and he is more popular with a huge fanbase and also all of his latest dramas are male centric ,so they will surely turn it into male centric if they cast him.And some reliable melon accounts posted his name.

tbh the only flaw ,i found in this drama that is thr camera work in many scene . But i can ignore it as long as they keep the writing good .
And i kinda expected because the director is the same one who directed love rebellion
