Half way through the first episode and I am starting to have deja vu feelings. Have I watched this one before? Yes, this one is the live action of the anime, probably the manga too (?), erased. And it does follow the anime plot wise, up to a certain point at least. One thing I have to comment about this drama was the ability of the leading actor to look older at times and like a teenager in other scenes. That gave a good time progress for the story. Also, the kid actors and actresses were extremely good! When it comes to the story, it is a mystery-fantasy plot with great performances and a gripping mystery.

I'm gonna be a bit strick with this one, as I was expecting much more. The story itself isn't bad. The concept was nice and fun. However, it was dull. The pacing was a nightmare and I was about to drop it after the third episode, as nothing exciting was happening. The last few episodes, however, were really good, part of the romantic scenes that were plenty, but boring. Yes, the two leads had chemistry, but couldn't the romance be more original? Anyway, the romantic scenes kind of pulled the pace back to the slow slaggish one we had in the first episodes, but at least the story was interesting at last. The mystery of the father, the depth of the characters and their choices that changed the future, everything was thrilling and entertaining. The ending was a let down, though I don't really know how they could have handled the romance otherwise. Other than that, the performances were good and the representation of the 80' era decent.

The story follows three of the characters that were added later on in the series, but are vital key figures. Their story, individually, is good and it was nice to see the brotherly bond, the family dynamics, as well as the mystery and the political frauds behind that USB. It kind of showed that the SWORD area was not seperated from the rest of the world but there were powers still influencing it. The action scenes in this one were solid, and there were more motorcycle action as well. The performances were top notch too.

Not as good as the first season, but still enjoyable. The same characters return, with more background on the original story to provide the foundation for the story in the next movie. Really, this one felt more like a bridge between the first season and the movie. But, still, it was interesting. The action scenes were fewer and the first episodes were occupied by the story of the begining with the old characters and their adventures, which was kind of boring after the third flash back. The performances, moreover, were good and the movie exceptionally made.

You're a fan of Kame-san? Then you have to watch this. You love bromance? You should definately try this one. When it came to romance, this one was kind of slow, and really, it focused more on the progress of the story rather than the chemistry between the couple. Still, there were some good performances, and the bromance was strong and cute. However, there were also some really boring scenes. As for character development, this drama has that covered for you as well. Finally, the conclusion of the mystery was bitter sweet, but satisfying enough.

The classic story is adapted to fit in modern Japan. So, if you are concerned to watch yet again another les miserables adaption, you may want to try this one, as the story line only loosely adapted from the original and it takes place in a modern setting. Also, the background of the characters and the creation of their personality is explained nicely. The story, overall, is a bit rushed though. But the performances were good from everyone, as this production was armed up with strong names of the japanese acting scene.

The High&Low franchise is a popular one and for a good reason. The whole production must have cost a fortune, as there were so many characters and members in each gang. The four teams were interesting to watch, as each one was distinguish, with different kingdom and different costumes. The fighting scenes were top notch as well. That said, the performances were great from all the actors. The ending was kind of left some questions answered, but there is a second season. Finally, the story was interesting, although it was confusing because there were too many characters to get to know in such a short time.

Seventeen is a web drama that focuses on five friends as they reminisces their school life. It is actually more about their love lives, their first loves, their relationships and what lead them to their currant lives. In fact, the ending was short of open and it needs a second season!! Other than that, the drama is short, so it is interesting to check it out. The performances are decent as well and the whole atmosphere is cute and innocent, kind of nostalgic and sweet. So, seven and a half out of ten.

A Teen is a short web drama following the pattern of seventeen, another web drama of the same plot. This one focuses more on the high school lives of the characters, of their background, their personalities and their first loves. The story started a bit slow and confusing, but it got better. The final conclusion was satisfying, as every story had an ending and it ended in a cute way, though a second season would have been nice. So, overall, good performances, nice story and a decent execution of the plot.

One warning about this drama: don't expect too much!! I guess the only thing that was positive about this one was the performances. All the actors and actresses of this one were decent and better than the standards of this drama. Now, not that the execution wasn't good. At least they didn't fall for the manga-anime like trop with the exaggeration of emotions and situations. However, the story was a cliche fest. The love triangle was just tiring to watch and there was nothingh unpredictable about this one. The twists were idiotic, as the girl could not have possibly got over someone so fast, but played the hard to get for a good length of four episodes after that. Okay, maybe I'm too harsh with this one. If it was a 4 or 5 episode series, maybe the story wouldn't have to repeat the twists over and over and make the characters into irrational love fools. But the 10 episodes killed it.

Dear friends is an emotional movie about friendship and human relationships. Even though it lacked some intensity, the message that it got through was beautiful. Rina discovers the people who trully matter in life when she falls sick and her way of life is changed forever. The ending was a bit rushed and they didn't really explained things through. But the performances were good from both leading ladies. So, six out of ten, for the character development and the performances, though the execution needed a bit of additional effort.

I want to eat your pancreas puts you off with the odd title. However, it is a beautiful story. The acting was very good. I also enjoyed how the story was presented. But the hilight was the characters. Both of them were so different and yet so right for each other (not in a romantic way, but a human way). The girl was possitive, bubbly, and simply adorable. The boy was quiet, unsociable, and kind of a calm force. Also, the cinematography was beautiful, with the cherry blossoms (sakura) and the school background. It served the innocence of the movie well. However, the story, in the final conclusion, kind of lacked the intensity that would have brought the whole tragedy to a climax. So, eight out of ten, because, the pace was also slow.

Five is a short drama, only eight episodes long and each episode about twenty minutes of length. The story seemed ordinary, boys over flowers like, but it actually wasn't. I enjoyed the friendship between the girl and the boys and their small adventures that they had together. Though there were too many characters that were added to the story. Fortunately, they didn't overcomplicate the story. Eventually, my main problem with this drama was the ending. I do hope that there will be another season, because the story was left on a cliff hanger.

Fantastic is one of this melodrama that lack intensity. The romance was nice and the drama started strongly, but, halfway through, it got boring. The only thing interesting about it was the side story that added some entertainment to the whole plot and kept me watching. At least, the performances were superb, even though the leading man was over the top sometimes, but that was the scripts fault. The mix of comedy and drama were okay, finally, and the ending was nice enough. So, five out of ten, because the story got boring.

A great slice of life drama. It's short, it's dramatic, it's about innocent teenage love and hardships, so it's just perfect if you like more realistic dramas. The only fault is the leading lady, at first. She was annoying and too egoistic, thinking only about her own gain and using everyone. However, she overcomes a major character development and she grows up. Being a part of the dancing team helped that. The later was such a clever way to introduce the girls and their lives, as well as backgrounds and their friendship. The final concusions of their stories were satisfying as well, except of the love story that had a weak ending. The cinematography, moreover, was perfect for the mood of the drama.
