I read the whole thing and heck it felt as if we are watching two different dramas. I am as confused as f***.…
Lol well I've kind of cheated in that I've read the novel (the first one) and I've been following the cast outside the show (I keep up with Bas, Kim, and Cop). Bas/Dun who are promoting together have said some interesting things around destiny and them "being together" that have kind of led me to make my own conclusions about what's going on haha. It's definitely a complicated and convoluted storyline, and from what I've seen of the other comments I don't think it's just you!

that's what i am thinking too. Like how Dong can forgive or react after seeing his sister was killed by Vee.
That and everybody is dead. The only two left are Dong and Vee...how do you have another series with two characters? LOL The only thing I can think of is that there'll be some kind of resurrection and I swear more bizarre things happened in this series. It's strange because the vibes I originally got from the opening sequence was that they were all some coven of dark witches, that would actually have been kind of rad ngl even if the writing isn't great. I was pretty impressed with the pagan/Wiccan references in the spells and invocations, they did a good job with those. It's a waste that we didn't get the strong female characters that weren't portrayed as psychotic and man obsessed. I was hoping for a character more like Jennifer in the beginning before she went off the rails.

Such a great, heartwarming movie. It's definitely a tear-jerker but the kind of tears you get when you're moved and touched. The cinematography is also beautiful! Definitely, one I would recommend.

The acting in this was stellar, I was particularly impressed with Narita Ryo. There were certain moments, certain scenes where I was left stunned. Not only is he completely alluring and captivating in the same dissonant way a member of the Panthera genus might be, you could feel every gut-wrenching emotion. All the insecurities, the paranoia, the consuming nature of his obsessive love, the protective shroud of his affected aloofness, the dichotomy in his want to pull away but the lure to stay. There was a painful fragility to the character that the actor was able to pull off so perfectly there were moments I was truly anxious. The direction and production were also excellent, with the overall mood of the film feeling raw, melancholy, and portentous.

The characters were incredibly flawed but they didn't keep from portraying that fully. You're not left fooled about the realities of who they are and what their relationship is and evolves into. I don't think you're supposed to know quite what to feel at the end of this. Perhaps a little introspective, perhaps a little sad, perhaps even at some level a sense of relatability. I wouldn't necessarily say the ending is sad, but everything about the film is fatalistic enough to leave you feeling like perhaps it should be. I hadn't read the manga so I wasn't sure what I would be getting, but I was completely engrossed from start to finish.

The best thing about this series *cough* other than the gorgeous cast *cough* was Bart and Brendalynnes's beautiful friendship. Get you a friend that will not only laugh with you in your moments of joy but cry with you in your moments of pain. The ending especially just felt so anticlimactic and just meh, even though I did like the "life lesson" they were trying to portray. I think there were other ways they could have brought about the same sentiment that wasn't so confusing and divergent from the build-up of the whole show. I'm guessing there will be a season two? Anyway, I don't know I felt like while the series had some great potential it, unfortunately, fell flat for me.

This was....the craziest show. I don't even know what to say tbh lol I think my only question is how to even have another season after that ending? Like, what?

Ok. So Pha's an asshole...like for real lol. This last episode clarified so much for me. I guess I'm the only one (but also I've never really believed that Phai and Thanu were endgame, so I guess it makes sense to me since I never really considered that a viable option). In this episode, we learn that in reality Wayu and Thanu have always been meant to be together, and Wayu's first love is actually Thanu but Pha got in the middle. I mean he had to have lied to him right? I can't imagine Wayu didn't mention the big "I fell for you when you saved me". line..so what exactly did he respond to that? Um oh yeah...right, I sure did do that! I think he knew he wasn't who Yu was actually interested in but lied because he wanted him for himself. I'm honestly loving that this author is kind of making him a villain lol it also explains his creepy non-existence, he should have never been in Wayu's life in the first place! It's also interesting to me that while Phai seems to have a connection to Thanu - with his sensing something bad would happen to him - it appears that Thanu has that connection with Wayu, since he rubbed his chest and felt the same thing before he fell.

I think this ties into what the show has been leading up to this whole time. "Destiny" isn't always what you think it might be, and essentially you're in control of your own destiny. I've always thought it was interesting how much it was highlighted throughout the whole show Phai and Thanu missing each other. While Thanu was confused, from my perspective he made the decision to listen to what his heart was telling him rather than what his head was telling him, after finding out that there's supposedly a "set" path for him. I think it's interesting that people are so supportive of his "destined" lover when he's spent zero time with him. Half the show he's been completely missing even meeting him, and suddenly he does and he's supposed to just drop everything to be in a relationship with him? Whereas with Wayu he's actually spent significant time with him and has slowly been falling in love with him this whole time. He confessed to Wayu right before he met Phai, even though he was struggling morally with doing so because he promised his "friend" he'd take care of him (not date him lol) so clearly he was already in deep where his feelings were concerned. He started avoided Wayu because he was worried the visions would mean he would hurt him at some point, but then he realized he could choose what he wanted for his life and that happened to be Wayu. The visions he had with Phai confused him, but he's still determined to follow through with what he feels for Wayu, which now we know was their "intended" story if Pha had never gotten in the way.

Now I'm wondering if Thanu's path IS inevitable, even though I don't think the ending will change. Maybe somehow the visions do play out the way he's seen them...like if Pha comes back and breaks him and Wayu up. I could see it being a situation where he ends up getting together with Phai as a rebound and we end up with the issues we saw in the visions (where he's choosing between Phai and someone else, likely Wayu). OR were the visions a possible alternate timeline of events that could have happened if Pha never left? Like what could have happened if he and/or Pha had made different choices...because if you think about it, Wayu and Thanu were always going to meet since Thanu was coming back to school the year Pha left. I still think it could go either way (if we got three seasons planned there's for sure more on the horizon hah), even if you think about Thanu's meaning of love " love is the person who shows you its meaning", is it Phai because through the sacrifice of his feelings for Thanu's happiness does it show him what love is? Or is it Wayu who's shown him that love doesn't come through some pre-destined arrangement but rather through all the moments and time you spend with someone? I don't know as crazy and messy as this storyline is I'm still intrigued LOL it's bizarre but in a way that's at least keeping my attention, likely because as viewers we have no idea what's going to happen next. I like that uncertainty, I feel like too often in BL we already know the ending because we've seen it 50x before. I still wouldn't be too married to either pairing ending up together, it's a toss-up haha though I will say all signs are kind of pointing to Wayu/Thanu if you consider all the outside factors.

Also (ok this is way too long but meh) I'm still in love with Mark and Kit, I kind of like that they haven't added additional drama for them just to add drama. They're just living their best couple life. I would rather they leave them alone and add drama to the side couples, than have them be the main focus and we end up with something like Tharn/Type where it's one constant mess of a failed relationship trying to pass as something sweet and loving. I hope they also keep that up in the next season; continue on playing with the other characters now that Mark/Kit are together lol then maybe I'll actually believe a marriage scene should play out at the end of this. I'm not holding my breath but it could happen, they could just give us a healthy couple life for once (please).

Sab is still probably one of my favorite characters on here, I'm bummed we don't get to see him more and I'm hoping he plays a bigger role in the next season. I'm also still holding on to the smidge of hope that Koh and Jack are going to be something at some point haha. I mean I can't be the only one thinking that's where they're headed even now, right?

I can't believe they're trying to end this mess with a wedding, are they kidding?

I'll also point out again recycled material, Fiat is basically Llong pt 2 and so is the scene dealing with him. The amount of laziness in the writing and direction is unbelievable, did they think people weren't going to notice the blatantly repeated plot devices? I also can't be the only one that thinks both Fiat and Leo's characters make absolutely zero sense. What was even that reasoning for why they were both behaving the way they were? And yay! Let's celebrate! For all his bad and childish behavior Fiat gets...a boyfriend! What a joke.

Ugh, Seriously? What about married couples together for 15 years that get divorced, huh? Finding numerous clues…
So...you're saying that they're acting like a couple on the brink of divorce and who should get divorced...got it. I agree they shouldn't be together, their lack of communication is appalling.

I just wanted to say that I always read and appreciate your comments when I see them :) I enjoy your honest opinions.
I think you can be supportive and honest, there's nothing wrong with giving criticism if it's merited, and of course everyone is going to have different opinions. If you give constructive criticism there's a potential series could improve, and that's always a good thing. I don't see how anything this person said wasn't supportive, but I would also ask why they have to be supportive? There's nothing saying you have to support every BL that comes out just because it has a semi-decent plot and some good acting. This is an open forum where anyone can share what they're thinking about what they're watching. You should praise something if you feel it deserves and merits that praise, not just because it's a series with a BL tag that's put a little bit of thought into what they're doing. There's a lot that they could have done differently with the budget they had but they didn't, and hopefully next time they continue to improve and will come out with something even better. You, of course, can not agree with what this person is saying but maybe it's better just to not read their comments rather than responding to them aggressively and asking them not to post? I'm not trying to start anything, I just wanted OP to know that I appreciated their comments and do read them.

Actually, Marc David (Josh) has a mainstream (non-BL) TV series with Kokoy de Santos and Maris Racal, "Stay In-Love."…
That is unfortunate! Well hopefully we get one that's easy for international fans to access.

I had put this off because of the platform it's released on, finally watched the first episode and I'm hooked. Ugh I'm still not convinced I want to pay for GagaOOlala (I tend to just skip their series, because of this unfortunately) but I so want to finish watching this. I love the historical aspects of the series already.

While I don't have much to say about this series, Jesus H. Christ the actors in this are gorgeous. The description doesn't say visual feast but VISUAL FEAST. The stylist deserves a standing ovation, they know what they're doing. Renz and Kurt in particular are just...wow. And Marc (Josh) with his broody self *fans*. When Rez sat on the couch in that grey sweater with his hair pinned back I had literal heart palpitations lol anyway I've embarrassed myself enough.

Honestly, all of them I feel like if they were picked up by the right kind of production company and really given a stand-out project, have serious potential as actors. It's unfortunate the writing and direction in this doesn't really stand up to the potential displayed, at least not from what I've seen. I'll also say, while I'm not super convinced of Bryce's intentions quite yet (the first episodes still have me on the fence about the type of person he is) the chemistry between him and Bart is stellar. I wonder what or if there's a resolution coming considering we only have two episodes left.

I also want to add that Brendalynne is so relatable, and I appreciate that they added her character. I hope she stays strong in her confidence and continues to realize that she doesn't have to be anyone's definition of beautiful but her own. Rejection is a shitty, confusing feeling that leaves you off-kilter and insecure. I liked that they showed her just working through her emotions, and I hope she comes to realize that not being liked by the person you like doesn't mean there's something wrong with you.

Based on what we know both from within and outside the show I think they'll either make an "alternate ending"…
Hm. I wonder if they took them down, sorry about that...I haven't checked for them in a long time. On the flip side, sometimes if they take them down it means an official translation is coming? The original translation was from StarHunter so I thought they'd keep it up, but honestly they were horrible so maybe they decided to go with a better more official printed translation. I know some of the novels from other series have done that.

On Win Jaime's Heart Jan 15, 2021
As far as redeeming qualities to this series...well...there's eye candy? I mean let's be real, the plot makes zero sense. You're seriously supposed to root for a relationship where the love interest is a total creep? Jaime is like a really cheesy 70's porn star whose sole purpose is just to scream 'sex' on the screen for anyone tuning in. I mean for heaven's sake he about made love to that apple in front of Jordan, who I'm pretty positive he's not interested in...or is he? At this point, I think he's capable of coming on to anyone.

I can't help but think they're headed toward some bizarre thruple situation because honestly, what the hell was that dance sequence? Heart was literally sandwiched between the two of them and got zero vibes that maybe there was something out of the ordinary? TLDR; very little plot, weak characters - though I will say Jordan is hilarious - but quite a lot of smutty behavior and sexual tension so I guess it depends what's your cup of tea.

They already announced there would be three seasons. Now whether that actually happens or not is yet to be seen…
I never expected there was going to be closure on that because there isn't an ending to that in the novel. Book 3 hasn't been written yet. Book 2 ends with that situation open-ended.
