They already announced there would be three seasons. Now whether that actually happens or not is yet to be seen…
True. I will say that there is one couple (Mark and Kit) that's going to get a resolution at the end of this, I don't think any other couple is going to. To me it's been focused on Mark and Kit with other stories kind of revolving in the wings. Which makes sense with how these things usually go *eye roll* they want people to tune into the next season to see what happens.

I think the problem with this show is it feels the story is progressing as though they’re expecting to get multiple…
They already announced there would be three seasons. Now whether that actually happens or not is yet to be seen lol but they did say there would be three seasons with each one focused on one couple (they never detailed who the couples would be though).

Based on what we know both from within and outside the show I think they'll either make an "alternate ending"…
I guess I haven't seen Thanu as an asshole lol so I don't really have a comment to add to that. I don't really see how Wayu wanting to be with Thanu makes him a spineless doormat. I would say there would be an argument for him being a doormat if he were to get back together with Parawee at the end of this because he treated him so poorly and disrespectfully in and outside of their relationship, but people forget that both Thanu and Wayu are essentially single at this point.

I'm honestly kind of wondering if people have really never dated before when they get all weird about there being more than one love interest. Thanu has feelings for Wayu but he also has feelings for Phai and he hasn't formalized or made any promises to either. What complicates things is that he was brought into Wayu's life through his ex and his feelings developed against his better judgment. You can't really control who you fall for, so it's put him in a tricky situation. I also think that him wanting to put distance between himself and Wayu was a mature response since he's trying to figure things out, especially with Phai being such a new and surprising addition to his life. I think with Wayu he's trying to figure out if what he's feeling for him is because they've been so close to each other all this time, and both of them have been lonely, or if it's the real deal. And with Phai, he's trying to figure out if there's really something there or not, considering he doesn't know anything about him aside from the strange/intriguing connection they have. My issue with Thanu is he needs to just tell both Wayu and Phai that he's confused if that's what's happening, so they're not left wondering what's going on.

It'll be interesting to see how things play out in the end. I honestly wouldn't mind Wayu just being single, I've liked that they showed him speaking up, realizing that the person you love shouldn't be the one hurting you, and making his own decisions. I think he's within his right to pursue Thanu if he feels something for him, but Thanu also has the right to say "pause, I don't know about this" if he's not feeling it or feeling something deeper for someone else. But that's just my take.

This is pure speculation on my part but I could see in season 2 love triangle/square drama with the resolution being Sandee/Phai ending up together and Wayu/Thanu then once that's been established Parawee coming back with some excuse for why he left and Wayu again being "confused" and season 3 is figuring out once and for all who Wayu ends up with LOL Bas is really the one they're going to be milking with this. He's technically what you would consider the "star" in the cast for StarHunter, they've been teasing "who will he choose?" from when GenY was even first going through casting. Once they landed on Dun for Thanu they started pairing them together and pushing them hard in promotion material. I just find it interesting that they're the ones who are doing the interviews/promotion for the show, sometimes it's not even Kim and Cop who technically are the main couple hah. In their own country, the better known and more liked pairing is Dun/Bas which translates to Thanu/Wayu. And they were a nonexistent thing before StarHunter started promotional material of them together before the show aired. For example, Thanu/Wayu was trending way before the series started, why wouldn't they start with promoting Dun with Pon if they were the end-game couple? It's curious that they would do the opposite and whip up all this support for a "ghost ship". It's all very strange. And truly this is all just speculation that can be taken with a grain of salt lol I just find the whole series of events very bizarre knowing how much hinges on the popularity of the IRL ships. So much is tied to that, it's why so many pairings end up in new projects together.

It could definitely still happen for sure, it'll be interesting. I think there's people convinced on both sides that could be disappointed haha I wouldn't expect the expected that's for sure.

This is going to be controversial but I'm calling it...
Based on what we know both from within and outside the show I think they'll either make an "alternate ending" where fans can choose whichever ending they prefer with Wayu/Thanu/Phai triangle OR (and I think this is the more likely scenario) we're going to end season 1 with the open ended triangle. A vote will happen (like has been hinted at by StarHunter) to decide the final couple and season 2 will play out the most popular choice. Considering that Wayu and Thanu are the most popular of the two pairings I have a feeling that's the pairing that will win. There are a couple of reasons why I think this is likely to happen.

1. Starhunter has promoted and pushed Dun and Bas the exact same, or even more some might argue, than even KimCop who are the main pairing for this series. They do all interviews together, are around each other almost 24/7 (i'm not even kidding about that hah), and have saturated each others social media. I find it really interesting that Pon (who plays Phai) is no where to be seen in promotional material or even in interviews. I think if they wanted it to be a more "unknown" outcome they would have marketed the three of them together, but that's just from what I've seen.
2. The writer of the novels has stated that the remaining book won't be hers alone, and book 3 won't be released until after season 2 airs (book 2 also ends with what we've gotten up to this point, there is no resolution for the love triangle).
3. Dun and Bas have said some really interesting things about "destiny" in their interviews, and have both said they want to be paired together which I think is interesting. If nothing else it's pushed fans to want to make that happen because they've said that's what they want.
4. In information released by StarHunter it shows that any of the three likely pairings could be destiny, i.e. Thanu > Wayu or Thanu >Phai or Phai > Sandee. And in the books we know that Sandee does have secret feelings for Phai that he's kept to himself this whole time (it's why he asks Phai if he believes in soulmates and destiny). They have also made it clear that "soulmates" and "destiny" aren't necessarily the same thing and don't always equal each other. Basically you can make your own destiny or any event can change the course of your destiny.

To be honest I've liked the ambiguity so far. I think it's made watching kind of fun because you don't really know what the outcome is going to be, when usually it's pretty obvious in BL, either because you've read the novel or because they've made it very clear in the show and promotional material. While they've made it clear which pairing they prefer in the promotional material, they haven't made it clear on the show itself which is really bizarre haha. Also maybe I'm ok with it because I honestly wouldn't mind either one to work out. I like both of them pretty equally, so it's just entertaining for me. It's also pretty funny to see people fight about it on social media platforms and on here if I'm honest lol.

I would say people that are confused as to why Thanu and Wayu are still such a huge thing should probably catch up on what's been happening outside the show. Otherwise, just enjoy the plot-twists but definitely don't be married to any outcome because it could go either way! There's definitely a lot more to come, especially because they haven't introduced Sandee, who is Phai's best friend, into the mix and he's definitely a big part of the story. Also as an FYI they announced very early on that there will be another season coming.

Disclaimer: My own thoughts and interpretations. Hi! The novel is only up until book 2. Book 2 ends right where…
I 100% agree with what you said. I've been warning people not to be married to any scenario because it could go any way lol I think people who don't know what's been happening outside the show are likely confused why people are still rooting so hard for Thanu and Wayu lol. The way StarHunter have been pushing them, how they're being marketed, what they've said, it all adds up to there being a different ending to what people are expecting to happen right now. And tbh why would they go with what's expected? That wouldn't be very interest haha. I might be in the minority but I like the tension for us as viewers right now, it's kind of been fun to watch a show where we honestly have no idea who could end up together. Usually it's more clear so you kind of know who to expect but this time we really have no idea.

It’s seems to just be bitter people who want Thanu and Wayu together, instead of Thanu and Phai. ? I personally…
I don't think it's that tbh I think what's happening is that Dun and Bas are being marketed together, like they're being pushed HARD by StarHunter. So fans of SBFive and Bas who follow all the stuff outside the show (there are a lot) and who make up a good majority of those who watch the show (outside of mydramalist) have been cemented into that ship. I mean for heaven's sake they had a sleepover together that was an hour-long lol. Plus StarHunter has hinted that the final couple between the Thanu/Wayu/Phai couple is going to come down to a vote. So they've pretty much set it up to be a competition between the two. It also doesn't help that Dun and Bas are shown together 24/7, they're all over each other's social media and Pon who plays Phai is non-existent. Like in interviews it's always Dun and Bas who do them together. It's all very bizarre considering how the storyline is going. I'm not sure why they cast the series the way they did if they were always planning on marketing Dun and Bas together for this series, unless the plan is that they end up together lol. But it stands to reason that people outside of the show are getting a very different picture of what's going to happen. I'm honestly curious to see how it plays out because I can't imagine they're doing this for nothing lol I'm going to reserve my judgment on who ends up together once the series ends hah. But definitely, the producers of the series have pushed Dun and Bas in the marketing so hard that it's brought out the fanship wars where people don't want to see a different pairing for them now. Personally, I'm good either way, I think both couples have their merits and would be interesting. I would just advise people not to be married to either scenario as it could literally go either way, especially since the last book hasn't even been written yet.

I'm planning to watch this soon, but before that, is this related to 2Moons in any way cuz I haven't watched 2Moons…
They're not really related, some of the characters are the same but you don't need that backstory to understand this as it's a completely different story. Like an alternate universe. To be honest it might be more confusing if you do watch 2Moons and try to plug in things to this series because nothing from 2Moons really applies here.

At this point, I just have to laugh. I'm amazed that I just witnessed two of the most popular series in the BL genre go up in flames in less than a year due to their own creator. Cheers Mame. Just wow. *slow claps*

Honestly, all it would have taken was a little bit of sincerity and care. It's really insulting IMO how some of these writers, producers, directors, whoever feel like fans are too dumb to care or notice that they're being taken advantage of. Or that for whatever reason they don't deserve quality work. Even worse, is this ugly expectation that BL stories, which depict gay/bi characters, don't deserve depth or thought. I'm glad there are some who are changing and challenging those ideas, but it just makes something like this all the more disappointing knowing the potential of what could have been if the people behind it had actually cared about more than just their paycheck.

Holy shit. The trailer was insane. I can't wait for this to start. The action and storyline in this alone looks like it'll be worth the time. Can I also comment on how absolutely stunning Jeff and Apo are depicted? Whew. Ngl I'm loving that we're getting some more hardcore, action-packed BL, the mafia setting is one of my favorite in fiction lol

I feel like I have to read the novel now, does anyone know if it's been translated?

I'm SO confused xD I watched 2Moons and 2Moons2 and I don't get the Pha thing xD We don't see his face, he does…
Lol this series doesn't really have much to do with 2Moons, it's not a continuation of 2Moons. It's basically a fanfiction re-write, where the author took some of the characters they liked from 2Moons and made their own story. That's why the names are similar but different. It's actually another book series called Gen Y by Liu Lijun. The reason Parawee isn't shown is because in the first book he's not really a character, he's gone from the first chapter and we just hear about him through other characters.

These writers need to stop giving me Wayu and Thanu if they're not gonna commit!!! Jack and Koh are a hilarious…
Well since I'm seeing it floating around that the final couple decision between the two options is going to come down to a fan vote, I have a pretty strong feeling Thanu and Wayu are going to be a thing lol. Just by the way StarHunter are promoting them together and the fact that DunBas trend incessantly from their antics haha I think they're the popular choice.

Honestly, I kind of find it really strange that they're pairing them together so much in promotion, Pon is nowhere to be seen. That's kind of weird from a marketing standpoint if they aren't a pairing.

Mark and Kit were everything for me this episode. Kit opening up and being vulnerable...and apologizing?! Ugh. Yes to actual communication and proper relationship building. I also love that they're taking this slow and Kit was honest that they needed a period of "courting" time with him focusing more on Mark and their relationship than he had been before. And the watches?! Are you kidding me! Kit's idea of them setting their watches together to "start" with their relationship is the cutest, most romantic gesture. It's probably been done before but I really loved that little touch, it felt like a really new way of saying "yes" haha. What a lovely beginning for them.

Not going to lie...Thanu and Wayu have my full-fledged support. I love them together though I may be super biased because I love the actors actual friendship in real life. They just have a super solid chemistry together. I wouldn't mind if Thanu ended up with Phai but my hope for end game is Thanu and Wayu. From what I know who ends up together between the three of them is unknown because book three isn't out yet, so it could go either way. Which is why things are so ambiguous right now. I'm positive Thanu has feelings for them both and I think so far the author has done a great job of portraying that confusion. I can imagine for Thanu it must be difficult because while he was feelings for Phai, he's a stranger he's never met and isn't sure he's ever going to meet. And while he has feelings for Yu, he promised to take care of him for Parawee and he doesn't want to betray him (especially considering how bothered he is by Padbok's accusations), he obviously puts a lot of importance in friendship. Something about Wayu and Thanu together just makes a lot of sense to me. And I promise it isn't because that almost kiss nearly had me on the floor...well ok that isn't the ONLY reason *coughs*. Also, I was thinking...it might be an interesting way of showing that "destiny" might not be what you think it could be. While Phai and Thanu seem destined they keep missing each other, which I find a curious thing to highlight. And technically Thanu was also placed in the path of "destiny" in a way considering Parawee approached him out of nowhere to take care of a broken-hearted Wayu (someone who at the time he had never met).

I really love that through this whole situation Wayu is finding his voice. I wanted for him to just be single for awhile to figure out what he really wants and I think that's happening. As far as I can tell there's been zero development from him with anyone else, so I guess we'll see what will happen in the rest of the series planned. I have a feeling Parawee might make an appearance but I also think when he does come back it will be too late. Even if he doesn't end up with Thanu if he ends up back together with that selfish ass I'm suing. With this new little fire he has I hope when and if Parawee shows back up Wayu lets him have it haha.

The people that I'm hoping for a deeper dive into is Sab, and the Jack/Koh situation lol. Sab is just too good of a character not to make a prominent appearance at some point.
