Liking the tone and vibe of the drama so far - love the filthy, dank streets, muted costumes and judicial use of music. Waiting to see how the story and mystery unfolds.
She’s with TSJ/YSQ, but they all love her back in their own way. She loves Jing the most, but they’ll break…
The romance definitely plays a big part in this drama, but there are a lot of other themes and story lines in here that are worth watching for (the politics, story of surviving in a harsh world, betrayal and (maybe) redemption, stories of healing from past trauma, etc. It's well written and produced, and the story definitely doesn't drop off toward the end like some dramas do.
The more exciting plot points take a while to come, but this story is as much character-driven as it is plot-driven. A lot of time is spent in Qingshui Town to establish characters and the themes. I think with all that is to come, the peaceful early episodes were nice to rewatch for contrast.
Could be as early as Jan/Feb, but who knows. S1 has a nice complete story arc (although there are some unfinished story plot points), so it’s still satisfying on its own.
