Yes, I believe ML wanted FL not to be recognizable in her next life as a mortal. Interestingly, in his mortal life, he is also currently not who he should be (I believe he is the previous demon Lord's son).

Finally at midway, the plot is really picking up. Chongguang continues to be interesting - what exactly is his deal though?

There's an iQIYI World Conference next week (4/23). Maybe there will be info then, which would offer some hope for this airing at a decent time in the near future lol. If nothing, I would assume this one is shelved.

Best 2 eps yet of this painting arc. Gets a bit philosophical too. What is real to us vs illusion and the inevitable passage of time. Very fitting to make this illusion-painting world the opposite of what reality is.

Yes, I think King Xinan has to make an appearance at some point. SFL is investigating his disappearance, so it will need to lead somewhere.

I’m enjoying the fun in these eps. I miss the creepy stuff, but this is good too.

I had noticed that beggar and thought, yeah, that lingering shot on him must not be accidental.

I guess the only humans that would bleed red blood are those who were sucked into the painting (real humans from the real world) - hence why XY insists on trying to make the people bleed from the 6 places he's trying to visit (I forget what they are called collectively).

Nice to see a strong Banxia in this painting world - I hope we see a satisfying conclusion to this arc in the next eps.

If you can make it past the first 4 eps, I think it gets more watchable after that.

I’m only on ep 17, and yes, I guess Han Dong is the villain, but he’s a pretty charismatic one lol. He’s rocking his outfits and strutting around like he owns the world. I’m not sure if it’s really true all he wants is to rule the world, because it would be great if he had more depth to him. The actor is capable of much more complex roles but oh well. Will have to watch to the end I guess to see.

I’m watching on Viki, which is delayed a bit and I’m behind as it is since I’m watching Demon Hunter’s Romance at the same time. Hoped the subs come soon

Yeah, I think this arc may wrap up the finding her parents storyline, but as some have guessed, we may have just encountered the big bad in the “uncle” character. I could be totally off base, but with the SFL also entering the story now, I think the story will develop further.
