She’s also a terrible detective, I thought this too many times throughout the show not to mention it lol she can “fight” but that’s about it. Also need to comment - for someone who was teaching lessons in fighting in many flashbacks, Mr Nam sure did spend the entire show getting beat up a lot.
Really enjoyed it and rated it high. I already commented on the FL so I won’t rehash that. Yes sure it was a bit predictable but not like Hallmark movie predictable, the story was still good. What I can say is one of my most disliked tropes in a show is “I’m a super genius/kick butt character until the very last episodes when I make stupid mistakes 🤗” Like why ruin a good thing to prolong it. Don’t make them do stupid stuff they would have never done in episode 1 & 2. Still I rate it a 9!
So far I’m on episode 5 and overall enjoying it. Love the comedy between the cafe minamdang crew. However the…
I just logged on to say this!! I’m on episode 9 and she is starting to really irk me. She keeps apologizing and saying he’s right, just to turn around and be insufferable. At first it was just their shtick, but now it almost doesn’t make sense since she is so wishy washy with it. Overall I’m going to finish it, but glad I’m not the only who felt this way.
I was rooting for Mr. Shin beginning to end, sorry not sorry.
Just finished and still feel the same *shrug* I rate it 6.5, was starting to doze off toward the end. An easy watch though with lots of monologues, some cute scenes, a couple of chuckles, and a few annoying characters.
I must be a bitter individual because there was just a little too much forgiveness going on in that last episode…
The whole connection between FL and ML from childhood at the funeral parlor, etc was entirely too rushed for me to feel any kinda sentimental value, they might as well have not included it.
I must be a bitter individual because there was just a little too much forgiveness going on in that last episode lmaooo This is a secretary Lee stan account!! The series was fine if you want to throw away logic, definitely an easy watch though. Way too many scenes with SFL in my opinion, I feel like they could have cut down on those parts to better flesh out some of the other plot points (I’ll put it in spoiler below). I give it a 7, it’s binge-able!
Loved it. While none of the themes are new, their take on it was unlike other dramas I’ve seen. I feel like we got to see all the gritty details behind each person’s thought process and emotions, not just “I want a contract marriage” “I’m ready to get married, hurry up and propose” “I have a sick mom so I work hard”. None of these concepts are new, however we typically only get the surface level and fill in the rest with our own feelings. In this I believe we get a thorough understanding of every character and ~why~ their love makes sense! Definitely not a fluff piece so be warned on that front if that’s what you’re looking for. (But I personally think it’s cute :) )
I’m not really a fan of the “slice of life” after they come to a conclusion (please wrap it up), but I really enjoyed this last episode!! It did drag a bit and could have been maybe 13 eps but I don’t regret watching at all. I think my favorite part was the (for lack of better word, it’s so overused) chemistry. They felt like friends, they felt like siblings, they felt like rivals, lovers, etc. I could understand everyone’s emotions and didn’t lose focus of the plot. It was executed well. And seriously let me Google the writer, there’s some quotes in here that make me truly ruminate on topics that I wanted to cast aside mentally. Personally rating 9/10
Plus all the women in this drama get an A++. I give it a 9.5/10 , the episodes flew by. Of course like most shows you have to detach from reality and sense but a lot of my qualms were later addressed, making it refreshing. Can’t believe I was on the fence about watching lol
I don’t think I’ve ever disliked an entire cast of characters before LMAO (except you grandma, you’re good…
I’m sorry I just have to include that pregnancy was a joke 😂😂 like zero effort put in by production to make it believable, I’m crying at how bad it was LOL

Also, after watching this I’m so grateful for my parent lol
