Better the second time.

So I initally dropped it the first go because it wasn't making sense to me and the subtitles were missing in a lot of the scenes. This time around they were still missing lol but I immersed myself in the facial expressions and what was happening within the scene at those times. From what I was able to get of the story I slowly started to enjoy around half way through. Much lessons to learn within the story.

Production of course be 100% better on every level. The audio was buggy at times and I found some of the shots weird with how they were framed.

The acting was good, not great but not horrible either. At least of the couples that had the most screentime in my opinion anyways. I felt chemistry when there needed to be.

Would I recommend? Yes if you're bored and want something new to watch.

Deeper than a Bromance, Less than a BL

I started watching because I recognized Nick from Crossing The Line and i'm glad I watched it. I enjoyed the chemistry between the main leads and the story kept me entertained. I got Mr. And Mrs. Smith vibes, once you watch it you'll understand what I mean if you ever watched Mr. And Mrs. Smith. The acting was great, as I've said before I know Nick from Crossing The Line and I enjoyed his work there as well. Huang You Qi wasn't bad as well.
Though not BL entirely because of censorship, I still felt the intended feelings being portrayed through looks and certain actions of the characters. In the end I loved it and would watch it again.

Form your own opinion.

Before I gave this BL a try I would hear that it wasn't very good and that it wasn't worth it. Glad that I gave it a chance because regardless of the characters annoying me at times, I still very much enjoyed it and would consider watching it again in the future. The acting was great, love all the actors; I felt everyone's pain and sympathized at times. As well as appreciated HaiQing's best friend telling him how it is as Hai tried managing the love triangle. The parents in it both infruiateded me per usual with BLs but at the same time surprised me. There were parts to the story that left me confused and wondering admittedly like about Jimmy and whether he'd end up with Jacky or not, some of the memories Pinjun was seeing and what happened with Yan Fei's mother but I put that on the fact that each episode was only 25minutes.
I loved the intro, definitely going on my spotify. So yeah give it a chance.

Wish For You...

This verison felt more complete to me really, I got more into the story without having to wait a week just to have a bit of it each time. The extra parts made it worth the rewatch. The actor's chemistry as before was just as good, if not, better shown here. Also the music like before was still beautiful. I would definitely recommend it to people and rewatch it when I'm in the mood for a sweet story with no tragedy.

One thing this version made me pay more attention to as well was to Kang In-Su's friend Min Seong, the care for In-Su by his friend spoke differently to me this time around. I don't know, might've been overanalyzing it haha. Anyways, great movie, highly recommend.

When tolerance runs out what then?

I didn't expect to like this movie as much as I did. The plotline is a little insane and fanciful but it entertained me. When you've been with your partner for 10 years, is the love the same or have you just grown accustomed to eachother? When the tolerance runs dry what happens then? You long for something new. When left alone to your own literal devices, you crave companionship.

That is what ultimately happens with Xiao Feng and Hao Wen, the tolerance for eachother wears out; Xiao Feng gets annoyed by Hao Wen's piano playing and Hao Wen gets annoyed by Xiao Feng's presence cause he can't seem to find the inspiration for his music anymore and it leads them to seek understanding and love from an app that gives them a companion that seems all too real to be true. Can an artificial heart fill the void of human love though?

I personally enjoyed the acting in this movie and loved the chemistry between the actors. Not much to say on that except I felt every emotion and never felt stale.

The music was beautiful ( mainly the songs composed by Hao Wen) but didn't leave much of an impression.

The visual fx were great.

I wouldn't mind watching it again out of pure enjoyment or when I have nothing else to watch.

The Kolas and The Shop Owners

Glad I caught up in time but also sad because I'm gonna miss it, it's so good. Loving the Kuudere Koala that is Yu Zhen tho I did want to fight him at the beginning and loving the T'Sundere Koala that is Shi Lei. Just the selfish prick coming back to mess everything up is annoying to me, they already had their internal struggles that I completely understood; Yu Zhen's trauma with his past and Shi Lei coming to the conclusion about his sexuality, afraid to be a disappointment in yet another aspect of his life as he tries to uphold with pride the ability to do his job well as Team Leader. I've enjoyed watching Jin let his guard down and be vulnerable around Shi Lei enough to open his heart to him and trust him. While Shi Lei grew to understand more about himself by allowing himself a moment of, in his mind, selfishness choosing to let his walls down and open up his heart to care for someone he didn't think he'd fall for. The coming out to his mom scene was beautiful, I cried. The acts of service and gift giving has been their love language with the projects at work, cooking at home, filling the fridge with their favorite drinks, the removal of certain rules at home as well as taking care of the other when they're sick or having a bad dream and it had me giggling like a little girl the entire time. Can't praise them enough really, I love them, Hank and Aaron work so well together. If you're truly not a fan of slow burns, you may want to stay away or watch it for the second couple who are just as great but physical touch and quality time happen to be their love language.

Speaking of the Shop Owner and his tiny co-owner who can't cook; I loved how Zhao Gang took Si Qi in when he needed a place to stay. He has really been an mvp for the series, I praise him for the useful advice he has given Jin Yu Zhen and Shi Lei. I'm just curious about how Si Qi's crush on Zhao Gang started cause I can't remember him mentioning or them showing it up till now. Wish they'd show why Zhao Gang is the way that he is about his relationships also.

Will come back to edit the review after the last episode is out and see if anything changes.
Edit- That ending was so sweet and explosive and I loved every minute of it!! Jin Yu Zhen and Shi Lei's first time was like a bomb went off after their feelings were known. Amazing and the scene with the "new rules" was precious. The plottwist with Yi Zitong did get me tho. Zhao Gang and Si Qi were cute also.

The Sky over The Star...

Haven't finished but I felt the need to write a review. I've watched both Star In My Mind and Sky In Your Heart and have come to the conclusion that Sky In Your Heart is significantly better. The characters aren't frustrating and convoluted for no reason and all of the miscommunications don't last longer than necessary. Sky In Your Heart has actually been a pleasant watch. The chemistry between Mek and Mark is A+, they give me all the butterflies with their simple looks. Honestly don't need to watch Star In Your Mind if you wanna see Kluen and Dao since they unnecessarily at times interrupt the flow of Fah and Prince's story, which is one of the negatives but doesn't bother me too much. Perhaps it helps the story isn't high school related but I prefer it so much more on all aspects.
Will return to update once it's officially.

Really couldn't get into it

It's really unfornate that I couldn't get into it like i wanted because I love Gameplay and honestly Best gave me second lead syndrome hardcore from the trailer. I don't know whether It's the directing or Folk's acting or I just find First too insufferable but I just couldn't get into his acting with Gameplay. I know they have another coming up so i'll have to see if the chemistry clicks then but in here, it just wasnt. I wish for Best and Gameplay to one day have a series also, till then I'll continue to rewatch Ingredients and look forward to Checkout with Best. One positive tho besides Gameplay and Best is that I love the Ost. always love listening to Gameplay sing.

The world of Mafia men and their trauma.

Firstly I'd like to say everyone did great acting wise, no hate towards the actors whatsoever... that being said...

I despised VegasPete's storyline. Despised Vegas in general and yeah it's a Mafia story blah blah excuses, even Mafia men have their limits in the morals they break. It's expected for a villian to exist but not all villains deserve redemption. People say you're the product of your surroundings but explain Macau? Pete? They weren't saints (tho we really barely saw Macau ) but they weren't completely and outright repulsive with their behavior like Vegas and his trauma is no excuse. So really the last couple episodes are kind of unwatchable for me unless I skip the VegasPete stuff. It feels too Stockholm Syndromey for me so it keeps it from being a full 10 Star BL for me. The finale helped in a therapeutic way to help stomach the relationship but also still left me with a deep seeded bit of hate for him. I look forward to him growing up as a character and changing my mind about him and his relationship with Pete but for now it's just a trauma bonding, Stockholm Syndromey codependent mess with no love involved for me.

KinnPorsche were my favorite from the main three, they started off rocky but they worked through it with genuine remorse and apologies from Kinn. ( Stuff I had a hard time believing from Vegas.) After that, the trust issues and miscommunication, they were both at fault for. I didn't like how much Porsche teamed up with Vegas without the knowledge of what he did to him (which never gets addressed besides the second time he tried to do something) and also with the knowledge of what he had done to Pete. Putting way too much trust in the devil. Kinn not telling Porsche things he needed to know also didn't help either and I get he was scarred by his ex (who I loved and everyone else seemed to hate lmao) but taking his past relationship issues and making it Porsche's problem to deal with wasn't fair to Porsche. The finale tho, I loved what their end was and can't wait to see how it develops for next season.

KimChay , I don't have much to say besides they were cute and angsty, I don't hate Kim like others might and understand him not wanting to commit another mistake with Chay by further bringing him into his dangerous world. I was annoyed by Chay and how he was willing to throw his life away for someone he barely knew but what's done is done. At least he has a protective shadow watching over him... Jeff and Barcode did well with what they were given though; The whole age gap discussions were really getting on my last nerve with how people were making Jeff look when he was nothing but respectful the whole time and they were simply acting.

Now on to TimeTay, they barely got any screentime and I'm so bummed about it. Everytime JJUs were on screen they had my attention. I admit I enjoy a well written cheating plotline whereas others might be triggered by it but we didn't get to experience it this season even tho they were promoted just as much as the main three at one point in time.

Tankhun, Arm, Pol, Pete and Porsche as a group I loved so much and were a highlight of the series. The dads... untrustworthy the both of them is all I'll say. The plot twists wrecked my brain just cause I didn't see them coming from what I was spoiled for by novel readers. The action scenes were my favorite scenes honestly, wish there was more of it going on in terms of the Mafia part of it. So there's my rant and all and all, I still cant wait for a second season. There's lots of room for a season 2 so I really do hope it falls through and covid doesn't delay it so much.

The Sountrack was A+++ the theme song is so catchy in both Thai and English also love that each one is of either Kinn's or Porsche's pov and you can't go wrong with Jeff Satur singing one of the Osts. I also liked Barcode's song as well.

The cinematography for the whole series was beautifully done and it's very aesthetically pleasing to the eyes.

Again congrats to the whole cast and crew for the tough journey they had to get us this BL, they deserve all the praise.

The past

Just finished the special, I don't know what I was expecting but i'm not really disappointed. Is the ex off my list? Eh, he could've handled the situation better really, instead of the way he did that caused Jin Yu Zhen to close off his heart. The end with Yu Zhen and Shi Lei was adorable of course. They are still in my top 10 fave couples for sure. I would rewatch this special but only for the end part really, I don't need to keep reliving his pain that had me almost break down watching Jin Yu Zhen cry.

Short but sweet

Okay so I didnt put my expectations up too high cause of who the main actors were and because it's Korean; I still enjoyed it for the characters Choi Ki Wan and Ryu Ho Seon's crazy antics just to save face about the marriage. The level of care that Ho Seon displayed toward Ki Wan was really endearing. Where as Tae Hyun... sorry to Jang Eui-Soo but I found his character to be annoying, I thought he was certified insane honestly. I also wanted to fight the little brat of a sister.

The music didn't particularly stick out to me in anyway and the acting was great for what they had to showcase. I would rewatch whenever i'm bored and don't want to get into a full length series.

Also if you're looking for something intimately exciting and find dramas that don't have that kind of dry, this may not be for you. Overall a simple story I enjoyed.

Things just aren't fair sometimes.

Seriously, Kurosaki irritated me up to an hour into the movie. I'll live by the fact that Takumi deserved better; His white prince title was so fitting. Besides that I loved their friendships; Meiko was a really great friend and I cried towards the end with Kurosaki and Takumi's backstory to their friendship; Not gonna lie there were times I was shipping them together. That was just my BL loving talking though haha. Either way the acting was great love them all and the music on the piano was beautiful as well as the end credit song was super catchy also. I recommend it.

The Childhood of Your Nightmares

I usually don't watch things like this because well.. i'm a chicken LMAO but from episode 1 it really got me hooked and I couldn't stop watching. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, the deaths were definitely shocking once they initally happened but then in a way you get desensitized when it happens the second time, if that makes sense. Some deaths hurt more than others because of the attachment i grew for some of the characters and others I either thought were an epic way to go out or didn't for at all cause of who they were. Won't say too much else but the plot twist was definitely something and the end in general just annoyed me. The soundtrack definitely helped set the mood. After this, I'll definitely won't be able to think of certain games without thinking of Squid Game. Everything considered , I still recommend it.
