I really liked the last two episodes ! YD finally got her memories but she still doesn’t know all that YY did for her 😭😭at least she knows he also loved her but she said he chose the world over her 🥺 where is LuMing when we need him 🥺 poor TZ he doesn’t remember still. I think we’ll get lots of angst in part 2 based on the spoilers/leaks assuming nothing gets cut 😭😭 I’ve always thought Tencent was bad but Youku is no better 🙄 where is part 2??! like no announcement 📣 whatsoever. Just the video about YY’s parents yesterday isn’t enough 😭

Their story seems full of misunderstands because of that Heavenly Emperor. I hope YY finds out the truth about his parents. Their story is so sad as well 😢
I don't agree with some of the comments saying that it's draggy because so far, I've enjoyed the heavenly arc for it's angst and the mortal realm for the slow burn romance. Each side story has lessons for TZ/YY, YD, and YM that will help them in the last arc. In the beginning, some people were questioning how YY and YD could fall so deeply in love for one another, now in the mortal arc, we get to see them from enemies to friends to slowly falling for each other, going through life and death obstacles, having heart to heart talks, etc. All to help clear the misunderstandings they once had in their past life so that they can finally move on. For me, that’s the ideal love story.
Every complete story has a beginning, middle, and end, you can’t just go from beginning to end without the middle, because then people will have so many questions. The 5 Ws (who, what, when, where, why) are being explained and weaved throughout the drama viewers just have to pay attention.
Honestly, IS doesn’t even have that many side characters, (yes it was annoying that the evil lamp had so much screen time) but other dramas have much more characters that sometimes we don’t even get the see the ml/fl together in an episode. At least in IS, I think almost every episode (except the beginning ones) has our YY/TZ and YD together.
Almost every Xianxia drama that I’ve watched the layout is pretty much the same, heavenly arc, mortal arc, demon arc, then everything ties together in the final arc. I’m not sure if the people who said it’s super draggy is expecting it to be super angst/super romance/super fighting scenes for the whole part 1 and 2 but that isn’t how story telling works.
I love IS so much and I’m so addicted to it. Lastly, I wish Youku would release the schedule for part 2 already because I think that is making us all anxious.

so true, for those that are really loving IS, i think the thought of part 1 ending this week and part 2 is yet to be announced and supposedly only 19 episodes, with a lot still to cover, it's like a dark cloud over us while we're trying to enjoy current episodes, we have the fear of a rushed ending.

I think although he thinks TZ is Marshall HuoDe, after going through so much life and death together in the mortal realm, and seeing firsthand TZ's feelings for YD, YM will understand YY better as well. Because he also misunderstood YY since he's only ever heard YD complaining of the "bullying" that YY did to her and the the things she did for him but he didn't know what YY has done for YD. So the events they faced in the mortal realm will surely put YY in a better light as well.
She wasn’t sent to the mortal world. She jumped off that cliff and to that night forgetting River. If she was successful in letting go of her memories then she could be reincarnated as a mortal, but she wasn’t able to let go of her memories even after 800+ years had passed. If she isn’t able to cross within 900 then she’ll disappear, so YY went there and forcefully removed her memories but because YD technically didn’t cross the river she could only be reborn as a flower spirit. She doesn’t have spiritual aura, so I think the spirit/demon catcher people can’t tell unless she uses her powers.
Finally that lamp is gone! (For now at least ) tired of her 😒 it’s so funny that YM thinks TZ is Marshall Yuode 😂🤣 also I love the friendship between YM and TZ , I hope it doesn’t change when he finds out TZ is actually YY. 🥲 I’m still enjoying the mortal arc (although the thought of when Youku will post part 2 is still looming over me) TZ was always the jealous one, so I’m glad YD can experience it too now 😅 so she can see her feelings for him. 🥰 Can’t wait to see the stuttering TZ tomorrow! (He reminded me of SiFeng with his stutter 😂)
