Well, here's hoping for a better future. I Told Sunset About You is next on my list, so now I'm looking forward to it even more.

None of few Filipino BLs have seen clips of have stood out to me, so I've just been basically ignoring them, but if they really have some nuance, it might be time to check them out.

This show is so good. After I saw the first episode, I thought I'd wait until the whole thing aired so that I could binge later, but I couldn't resist. Kurosawa needs to be protected at all costs.

Barring the femmophobia, I think we're off to a good start. Can't wait for TopTap and Mike!

Isn't BL as a genre kinda heteronormative anyway? I feel like that's part of the appeal for a lot of people (as unfortunate as that may be).

This crossed my mind too. I think the other posters are basically missing your main point which to be seems to be: femmes need to stop being typecast so often.

Realizing that Krist and Sinto are actually the youngest couple in this group is kinda nuts.

So, one's gonna say it? Fine, I will. This is better than 2gether.

This was a great drama that truly deserves every compliment it gets. The actors are well-experienced and deliver the characters so well. As the story follows the life of a gay couple in their 40s, it's a special insight into a realm we don't often get to see portrayed in media. If you want a well-done slice of life series to make you feel good, watch this.

This season can’t be compared to the first one. Everything is taken a step down from writing to to acting, but I still have liked it (from ep 7 onward)....and, provided the actor who plays Tul can get some more acting skills, I think Tul and Him should definitely get their own season or at least a mini series.

This was technically my favorite one in terms of characters. I find Nuea’s confidence (cockiness) both funny and charming. Phraram is a little one-dimensional, but you can tell it’s because he’s shy and reserved. The chemistry between both was there though and I liked it. The story was really nothing at all. It almost feels like a 2 hour long preview to an actual series. Speaking of, I’m happy to see Love Mechanics getting a full one, but maybe they can fit Nuea and Phraram in as a side couple. That’d be amazing.

I like the show from a psychological POV. For me, it's a story about two people who were handed f*cked up situations in life and in turn made really f*cked up decisions. It's not a rubric for what a good relationship is or should look like. I personally don't usually throwout a show because plot just because it's predicated on problematic issues, but I see how and why a lot of people would.

LBC bothered me a lot because instead of the dichotomy of the message the show by having Tar's rape be horrible and wrong while simultaneously showing Techno's rape as romantic and silly. If it's gonna be a fucked up show, let it be that. If it's gonna be an ethically sound show, then let it be that damnit. lol

If they could just include Nuea/Phraram as a side couple, I'd be even more sold.

After having seen this and TOSSARA, I get that they're short series and all, but there could have been a little more packed into these episodes. Like a little less screen time for Dewy and Facebook post scrolling and a little more time for some nuance. This was a clear step up from TOSSARA, but in general, there doesn't seem to be anything very special about this. If there had to be something special for me, I'd say it's the fact that we get kisses thrown in everywhere and there's not some overdramatic build-up to the ONE kiss in the series. Also, War's acting is good.

I dunno. I think it's a bit irregular, but not uncommon...especially for BL fans, but who says BL fans are normal to begin with, really? LOL

Writers for years, literally centuries, have been writing the love stories of their family members. As strange as it my seem, writers draw a lot on their own lives.

Plot: basic
Acting: mediocre
Production quality: low
Writing: shameful

Categorically, this was a bad series. I can agree with the general sentiment there. HOWEVER, I completely disagree with the notion that there was no chemistry between the leads. The way Gun looms over Bar and stares at him with his dopey smile, their little peck kisses here and there, etc. ...the chemistry's there. It's the writing that failed their most intimate interactions.

What I loved about the concept of like My Engineer for example is what I disliked about this series. My Engineer wasn't innovative at all. It just delivered the basic, typical Thai BL engineer school senior/junior theme we've all seen before, but it delivered it VERY well. No twists, no surprises, no innovation, just the basics done right. Tossara takes every single element of that theme and makes it as lackluster as possible and that's sad because all the elements were there, but few to none of them were delivered well.

I didn't hate it (probably because it's only four episodes), but this is also probably my least-liked BL (mini)series.
