Whenever checking out shows on MDL, one should never use the actual rating to gauge how the show is. Just read the comments.

I'm on episode 7 and I feel that way. It's like Fighter seems dominant and is the one initiating the romance, but won't actually talk about it.

My mind didn't go there since I'm already very familiar with the name Ram. His last name being Wira (veera) refers to the Hindu god Ram, also known as Raghuveer (hero of the Raghu clan). This name isn't unpopular in Thailand given their Hindu heritage. Multiple kings of Thailand have the exact same name...including the current one.

So, no, my mind is in a very different place on this one. lol

Agreed. Tbh I think BL is changing based on the very vocal fanbase more than anything. The fact that we've been trolled so hard as (see: Why R U? and YYY) is evidence. Also, if you check YouTube reaction videos, it's very clear that a huuuge portion of BL watchers at this point are gay men.

I'm referring to the relatively innocuous message written underneath. This one doesn't actually have a more subversive meaning like the a lot of the others from this time do. Even the ones with cute kids.

I get your point, but bad example with the picture. You should have chosen one that actually propagates about the government instead of the people themselves.

It totally doesn't matter, but if we're to speculate (which I don't mind doing at all lol), I'd say Ram would the 'sword' in this situation. I could be being influenced by Talay's role in YYY (in which he's definitely the 'scabbard').

I think would have been better off finding any white lady who could speak Thai (even if it was bad). This would make it more believable. Especially given the fact that when Ram speaks English, he has a very thick Australian accent. If his mom were speaking with an American accent, that would be an awkard situation too. lol But we're not Thai, so maybe none of them really noticed.

I watched this before I started watching Why R U and Porpla as Junior is f***ing me up. lol

The funny this is that I speak Chinese and so even though I was listening to his Thai dub, I could see his lips speaking Chinese and so it was easy for me to 'feel' the emotion in that way, if that makes sense. lol

Exactly. I'm sure Ryan can manage some Thai here and there, and even if he couldn't, I wish they could have just made Boss bilingual. They both understand Thai/Chinese, but Chinese is Mek's first language and Thai is Boss', so they speak in one language and respond in the other. Some people maybe wouldn't understand, but I totally would because this is my daily life. lol

I still couldn't bring myself to watch season 2 because of the actor change, but if it was so good that now there'll be a season 3, I may have to give it a chance.

I wish they could have found another actress to play her character. Her accent is almost as distracting as Mek's dub.

I'm personally a little glad it got dumped. Seemed messy.

I know this is sad, but on a scale from 1 to 10, 1 being "it's sad, but eat some ice cream afterwards and you'll be fine" and 10 being "a part of you will die along with the characters"

I might be the only person who watched YYY before starting this, but when looking at the actor who plays Junior in this series, I can ONLY see Porpla and it's so bizarre to me. lmao

Isn't the fact that he even asked the question "if you did that to me, what would you think?" indicate that doing such a thing is indeed not normal in the first place?? The fact that he said "I would accept" doesn't normalize rape. It quite clearly shows that the relationship is flawed. The characters aren't always moral and I don't think they are supposed to be.

What's being normalized here that shouldn't be?
