Speaking of eyes, his are super naughty....like he just has a naughty face. haha I thought so when watching the show, but then seeing the reaction videos, he just looks like he's about jump someone's bones all the time. lol

I wonder if it's because, especially with these BLs, it's a lot of the actors' first time really getting a chance like this? Gun (Theory of Love) and Mew (TharnType) tend to do a bit better and they have quite a bit of experience.

Bohn's frustrating, but I'm not at the point of not being able to stand him...not yet anyway. lol

It feels very natural and there are tons of obviously romantic moments throughout the whole thing.

You should give The Untamed a chance though. It's a lot more romantic than a lot of the new proper BLs that have come out.

Yeah, I also think this show is a little careful to make it seem like the 'girl's fault' with Mek/Boss, so that's a good aspect too.

Well, Bohn and Duen's conflict is in the making too. It definitely wasn't too contrived. Duen broke up with done because of the constant lack of trust between him and Bohn, not because of the incident with Mild. Even if Mild hadn't been around. Bohn could have still misinterpreted anything else and that could have served as a last straw for Duen too. It's really not similar to 2Buddies at all. lol

My Engineer's strength hasn't been in the fact that it's creating crazy, nuances in the world of BL, it's in the fact that it hasn't been making any fatally stupid mistakes in their execution of the plot.

This last episode seems like one of those fatally stupid mistakes, but I think it's just because we're seeing too many serious conflicts between all but one couple within just ONE episode. However, these conflicts aren't random. They've been built-up and sidestepped throughout the series.

Duen and Bohn's fundamental relationship issues are Bohn's lack of trust and insecurity along with Duen's timidity. Bohn comes on too hard to Duen sometimes, but in truth, Duen really and truly cares for Bohn. We know that, so we know this will work itself out. Story-wise though, I think it would be too mild of a conflict for Mild (no pun intended there) to just show up for 15 minutes of conflict, then never be seen again. Especially, since the notion of a Bohn-Frong battle over Duen got squashed by Frong saying that he would back off plus being pursued by Thara. It should be remembered that Duen broke up with Bohn because of trust issues, though, not infidelity...before we go trying to compare/contrast tonight's episode with 2Classmates.

With Mek and Boss, again, we don't really see them have a real conflict earlier on in the series, but we do see the seed planted for one. Fon loved Boss since high school, so we can't just assume that just because she got famous, Boss means absolutely nothing to her. It would almost be too simplistic of a storyline if it was "Mek and Boss are best friends who both secretly crush on each other BUT WAIT Boss likes a girl, but the girl becomes an idol...and she's too busy for him, so then conveniently they both realize love each other and live happily ever after" right? I mean, I personally would be perfectly happy with that storyline, but it's a plausible possibility that Fon would come back in the picture.

Ram and King are both a little weird. Ram is tons of affection to give, but his face doesn't show it. He's also dealing with his family issues, so he needs a huge emotional comfort in that aspect too. King, while he obviously likes Ram, may have something in common with Duen in that he needs things to be taken slow. This comes across as odd to the viewers because he's been the one pursuing Ram. Tbh it comes off to me as odd too, but I know (hope) it's gonna work out fine.

Aside from the fact that nobody likes to see conflict between the couples we've all grown to love, I think this episode was really only weak because all the conflicts got played out at once.

No apologies needed. They all deserve the love, but Ting needs to be included. lol

I don't think there's official censorship on it, but I think it's an active choice on the part of production to make it that way. That's also the genuine sentiment of a lot of people in Chinese society though too.

Done, but that was SO stressful. Too many choices. haha Also, I think it's unfair to rank series against movies, but oh well.

I almost want to refuse to do this because of how hard the choices are. lol

Ok, I see what you mean now. Yeah, the material that had was deep and uncomfortable, but the writing and acting didn't deliver it the way it could have been. This was supplemented by lots of chemistry between the leads, steamy scenes, and cutesy scenes. All that said, at least TharnType didn't end up being as boring as 2buddies turned out to be. Shout out to Win though. His acting carried this series...until about ep 10 when Tine's character changed.

I basically want to echo what Gerverich already said. At no point was that creep who molested Type tried to be played off as hot during the show. They also never made light that child abuse. It was a huge factor of Type's entire character. Everything from aggressive homophobia to his awkwardness in sexual intimacy. It's what made the fact that Tharn took advantage him while was sleeping even worse. Those points all illustrated how horrible sexual abuse is....it definitely wasn't glossed over like it was in other shows.

But anyway, as others have said, both were indeed overrated.
