I was JUST thinking about this. It could totally work. In Thailand, there are actually a huge amount of Chinese people directly from China and lots of others who are Chinese descendants (like Bright/Win and some actors in this show too). It's totally conceivable that there'd be a Chinese guy in Thailand who can understand Thai, but doesn't speak it too well.

Aside from the main characters, I like the Chinese boys Mahan and Wang Chao. lol They're so ridiculous.

I'm just a sucker for Duen's smile whenever he 'feels' the love from Bohn. I know it's super cheesy, but I can't help but love it. haha

I noticed them call out China too...with the part where they talk about having sex in front of the Chinese boys, right? lol

Not gonna lie, I'm super excited for this, but the LAST thing we want to do is overhype it. Remember what happened last time we did that ((2classmates)). lol Let's just all be grateful for how well done season 1 was and hope season 2 can be good too.

It is interesting that you call Bohn childish and Duen stupid, though. I feel like their relationship is pretty spot on for a lot of first time couples in college. Misunderstanding, lack of trust, overbearing, trying to control every situation or trying so hard to please the other person. All of that stuff is very real and common among couples at that age, I feel. It's frustrating to watch because of how often we see it happen outside of TV. I think anyone that's ever been in a relationship can identify with one or two of the mistakes Bohn/Duen made at some point.

Well, I think it's easy to see the humanity in all of them. For Ram, yes it's easy to imagine someone who doesn't like to speak often or like to express themselves often, but it just doesn't happen often that people literally speak as little as he does. I don't think I mind it very much as it doesn't make me enjoy him and King's relationship any less. I don't call him stupid.

About Thara, we really haven't seen enough of Thara by himself or within the context of his own trusted friends to really know what's going on there, but since the show has set them up as a couple, I guess that's the assumption.

For Frong, yeah, I think he appreciates his kindness a lot, but I don't know of that does or should equate to falling for him. It's sweet, but I want there to be something deeper than that for them, you know? Mek/Boss are best friends. Ram/King have unspoken, but deep bonds. Duen/Bohn are the stereotypical romance.

All around, I'm just excited for next season.

Agreed, but also development and nuance is the only place you can go if you start from silence and blank expressions (Ram). lol I get your point, but I couldn't resist.

I think Bohn/Duen display the most embarrassing, annoying, but very real parts of being in a relationship. There's misunderstanding, arguments about the role one person does or should play, being overbearing, being too cold etc.

I think I agree with everyone in that Bohn/Duen were just a little bit exhausting sometimes, but I definitely like them along with all the other couples. Mek/Boss are probably my favorite match tbh, but King, by far is my favorite character to just look at. lol

This series wasn't cutting edge in its plot or character development, but it also didn't make stupid mistakes with those things either. The actors delivered well and I think I speak for a lot of us when I say: It's always a better series when there's more than one couple to focus on. My Engineer gives us four and they each get a decent amount of screen time. Well done.

Bohn/Duen are exhausting, but it's hard to take Ram's level of unwillingness to talk as a young adult seriously. Thara/Frong are nice, in theory, but even before the ending, I always kinda got the feeling that Frong just appreciates Thara because of how nice he is and the things he's done for him. While I think he's now falling for Thara, I don't know if I really see them meshing well.

I find it funny. I don't think it's meant to be taken seriously...as the disclaimer at the beginning says.

You guys love Talay (King), you should also watch/support YYY, the comedy is currently starring in. :)

At one point in the show, the girl who he stars in the movie with actually speaks Chinese to him and they totally filmed it. haha If you don't speak Chinese, you wouldn't have caught on, but I did and I was like 'Come on, guys, do better lol'

Which is good because the side couples actually get the camera time they deserve. We don't need to be invested so much in the main couple.
