Oh, for God's sake! Does Thailand produce nothing but refreshing drinks and snacks? Or are the owners of the refreshing…
I totally think Vee and Dome are supposed to be presented as cheaters here rather than gays with repressed feelings. Without the setting needing to be as homophilic as the Saen and Aii arc (which is Thai BL fluff 101) would imply, it’s 2022 and this is a university. Even though Thai society on the whole may not be as progressive as other countries on paper, but this age range of people certainly is. Vee cares about hurting his sister (even though he was the one who kinda hit Dome first), he’s not worried about homophobia, I don’t think.
This is tough. I'm completely invested in every single couple. I was thinking Dome/Vee could get a little messy, but then boom, Vee gives the reality check. I just love Fah. He's so careful and shy. I loved the headpatting scene when you can see his eyes say to himself "Before I thought I might like this boy. Now I know I do, but I'm still way too shy to admit that rn." ^_^ *pat pat*
"I've never done anything like this before." I'm used to hearing this line said by one gay guy to another before taking off his clothes, but I'm usually not watching a BL.
So many great scenes in ep. 8 and I think we can all agree on which ones they are, but one small thing I really liked when Sean was telling White about his past was when White went from touching the side of Sean's face to just holding his ear and the way they looked at each other. 🥺 Anyone who's been following these two actors for a while knows the feeling. That wasn't Sean and Black or White. It wasn't even just Off and Gun. It was PAPI AND BABI. The intimacy! Ugh...I almost lost it. 😭
I had seen quite a few interviews with the ForceBook before this and thought Force irl really seemed similar to Akk and then in this special they both confirm it. haha
That was kind of solo's character lol and he obviously evolve as an actor since its been like 2yrs(?) Since oxygen
I'm just happy to see him making different facial expressions, in general. Not saying I thought he should have made more different facial expressions in Oxygen.
I just want to add a small caveat to what the others have mentioned about the actors. While they were popular before this show, Wang Yibo more so than Xiao Zhan, it's this show that shot them to the top. Their faces have been everywhere, all over Chinese mainstream media non-stop since The Untamed aired. So, as much as they made this show, this show really made them too.
I just read somewhere that the names of the five suitors correspond to different elements/natural things. Namely: Phupha: Mountain Natee: River/stream Wayo: Wind Saifah: Thunderbolt/lightning Akk: Fire I'm pretty sure the translation's right for the others, but I'm not sure about saifah. Any Thai speakers? :D
The french and his accent actually dont really make sense. He lived in France for 10 yrs without having gone back…
Agreed. Theo attempted, multiple times, to say 'menteur', but really said something that sounds closer to 'menter'. Then ironically we get a scene of Akk trying to say 'menteur', but his translation app is saying he's pronouncing it wrong. haha It doesn't seem like they're going to let it go, so I'm just going to try to let the random bad French be a source of humor rather than frustration for me from now on.
I don't know when this is scheduled to air, but they need to hurry up. I really need *good* KimCop in a series because their characters in Gen Y 2 are pissing me off so badly right. now

P.S.- Not really, we love you.
