Man. Korea is really riding the BL wave...and Jang Eui Soo is the surfboard they're using to ride it. lol

How do I put this? This made me feel a lot of emotions. Not all of them were good emotions, but it made me feel them very strongly, so I like that it was able to do that. The cinematography, the music (it's so sad that rock music isn't as popular as it used to be), and the acting were all on point.

Looking past the other things lacking that I would have like to have seen like what was going on with the side couple and the further development of Mafuyu and Uenoyama's relationship, the one thing that gets me is what felt like a lack of closure. We see Mafuyu all sad and distant at the beginning and get curious about it. Then, we find out it's because his ex committed suicide (and it has something to do with Mafuyu himself) and so we feel bad for him. Finally, when we think Mafuyu's finally being able to cope with that and move on to a different relationship, we suddenly get told that not only did Yuki's suicide have to do with Mafuyu, Mafuyu, in so many words, dared Yuki to kill himself. :((( The lyrics of the song explain all Mafuyu's hurt and experience, but that still doesn't feel....good. Then after the show, the old friend comes up with the "Oh, you know he was writing songs about you, right? Oh! And he really wanted to write them *with* you, but....." and I'm just like: U__U Well, damn.

I didn't not like this. I just don't like those vibes.

Admittedly, I didn't read the tags or the description of this. I just knew Jimmy was going to be in a Korean BL. I didn't need any more convincing than that. Needless to say, I was caught completely off-guard. lol

I always forget there's a whole realm of the GMM world in which all our favorite BL leads are straight guys. lol

I'm three episodes in and I'm really loving this. I'm especially a fan of Ritsuka's facial expressions. However, coming to the comment section, I see apparently a lot of stuff has been left out based on the anime, which is always unfortunate. I had a similar disappointment with Love Stage!, but fortunately, I didn't see the anime version of this, so I'm enjoying it as it is.

Same. And it's funny because this drama has soooo many other characters to focus on, but nope. Not a single one is worth it other than MarkKit.

Did anyone else kinda have Fiat pegged as a power bottom? It's been a while since TT2 and I don't remember a whole lot of it, but I was expecting more from him passion-wise this episode.

I haven't delved into Love Area and I was curious about it before. I trust your judgment based on previous comments on other BLs ^_^ so I'll probably check it out soon. I'm not sure where you stopped in The Yearbook, but for as sad as the whole premise is, I truly feel even if someone is killed off, the whole thing will have been executed in a way that makes the phrase, "Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all" ring true, but in sweeter way instead of a more depressing way.

Oh, you think episode 6 was a flashback episode? You're gonna love episode 7.

Well, I was holding up fine until episode 7, but I finally cried. :') Nice to finally have so many things cleared up and to see Man's radiant face again. Yes, the whole episode was a flashback, but I feel like the entire theme of this show along with the title kinda indicate that this is supposed to primarily be a step back into the past.

I remember some months back, all the ratings took a huge step backwards. People were saying it was maybe something with the algorithm?

I'll just be happy to see them on the screen together again! So many scenes from this show already live in my mind, and my phone, and my laptop rent free! lol

lol I feel like 2gether is an anomaly. I think lot of people who hadn't been big BL watchers before or only watched BLs every once in a while were really the ones that carried it to where it is. For people who've been watching BL for a long time (myself included), 2gether wasn't horrible (it was even very cute at some points), but it was underwhelming and overrated. For as f***ed up as TharnType is, at least stuff is actually happening. There's conflict, resolution, drama, chemistry etc. 2gether is very dry in this regard. Hell, I don't mind slice-of-life fluffy shows, but for that to work, there at least needs to be serious character-development-based story going on or some good romantic chemistry. 2gether doesn't deliver there very well. At least not enough to match the hype it got.

Honestly, I think 2gether ultimately did as well as it did because of a few crucial things that didn't have anything to do with the substance of the show itself: promotion, Bright's face, COVID-19, and the fact that it aired in spring (because in the fall/winter of last year I Told Sunset About You and Cherry Magic came out and 2gether really couldn't compete with either of those imo).

LOL @ the bath scene...It'd be enough for a nice miniseries. if they would have added some more material of them getting into their relationship and fitting in with the town for a bit. No need for drama. Just good old adjustment and healthy development.

I also really hope he doesn't die, but Phob leaving the USB to Nut kinda leads me in that direction. There's always hope, though!

I hope we're all wrong and there's nothing really up with him and Mike. <3
