Also, Ja has been wearing tight pants this entire time and in my head I'm thinking, "Doesn't anyone else just want to smack his butt?" and when Leo finally does. *chef's kiss*
Leo and Fiat's slice-of-life moments/sex life and Leon pursuing Pob (via his cat) are adorable and I'm eating it all up. However, I do feel like they're making Fiat too unreasonable and juvenile. First confronting Phob, then the house chores. Really. There are aspects of chores that people who don't usually do them would mess up on (like putting the laundry on the wrong setting), but scrubbing cups and turning on a hose? Come on. It was nice to see First in wet T-shirt for a minute, but still.
Featuring school bullying and violence, I personally didn't really like this BL movie much. I get that the show's…
Which things do you think should have been omitted to have made this more palatable for you yet have reached the level of dark, gritty, and raw it was supposed to be?
This series was one that I did not expect to binge. It's funny and surprisingly fast-paced. There are parts when it gets silly, but because the actors deliver well enough when not being silly, it's able to fit in ok. If you're used to and enjoyed old Thai BL from circa 2014-2016 (think: Lovesick, Make It Right, Love's Coming, and Love Love You), you'll definitely enjoy this. It has that slapstick, silly charm, but done better.
Ok, I get that they live in a village, but how do they always just bump into each other everywhere without explanation? Especially that Noinane girl. She's EVERYwhere for no reason spying on everyone. lol
Does anyone actually know what’s going on with China and the whole ‘feminine men ban’? What’s going to…
I live in China. We don't know wtf is going on either and it's stressing me out. Tbh I'm afraid that girl on TikTok might be right. :( But this is just a costume drama. They should be able to get around it somehow. I hope they don't do my baby (Luo Yunxi) like this.
This was a moderately well done series [by my low standards for BL's] but it's very strange and has to win the…
Nitiman, I'm skipping. No interest and I haven't heard a single thing good about it, but I'm currently watching Top Secret Together and Hometown's Embrace is on my list too. What's the deal with them? Do they go horribly downhill toward the end? If so, which episode? So I know when to either stop watching or start fast-forwarding a lot.
I agree with you. Love the acting and story very much! One good thing is, it seems that there may be more to come…
It would be awesome if we'd get a second portion with Phob's road to physical recovery along with his relationship with Nut recovering as well. I'd also like to see whatever problem between Note and Tar get solved as well. And, if I can be so greedy, I think it'd be nice to see Dr. Gun pop up with a love interest too as a minor couple too. Of course, when I say "love interest", I mean Boun.
Imagine your friends getting a pizza with lots of toppings on it, but one that you really don't like. You didn't arrive early, so you didn't get a chance to pick, so you have to live with it. The rest of the pizza is fine. Great even, so you're willing to just go through and pick the topping off of the slices you eat.
The show is the pizza. The flashbacks are the topping.
I loved the story and the somber, but hopeful tone. I loved the acting from everyone. I really, really want to see Man and Title (especially Man) in another BL ASAP. I was even more or less ok with the number of flashbacks up until re-watching the seventh episode and then watching the eighth. What could have been more incredibly tender moments with Phob and Nut, was just (see spoiler)
Nevertheless, I love this show and I'd recommend it...just with some fast-fowarding.
