do you know the actor?
I’m not sure of his name either, but I like him.

Title The Novelist Spoiler
nah, that spoils the mystery for their backstory you aren't supposed to know yet in Pornographer
The only reason I disagree with this is because even in Pornographer, you come to know that Kido and Kijima had a previous romantic relationship of some sort. It’s not that mysterious. When you watch Mood Indigo after Pornographer, there aren’t any “aha” moments about Pornographer until the very end. The bigger mystery in Pornographer is: Why is Kijima such a jerk to Kuzumi? If you watch Mood Indigo (first five episodes) before starting Pornographer, you don’t have to worry about that and can instead focus on how much Kijima’s character and personality has developed and how that affects his interaction with Kuzumi.

Just my personal opinion though. I watched Pornographer first, then Mood Indigo. Then I went back and watched it the way I mentioned and found it more fulfilling.

I had a hard time getting through that. It's too cartoonish with 2D acting - there's no sense of who these people…
Ditto about the tropes part. If I see another grown adult cut or burn their finger doing simple cooking and then the love interest comes to bandage it up, I'm gonna scream.

Such a cute and warm series/film. It was a perfect watch for my very relaxing day off. :) And Seo Joon's "accept it, you know you love me" speech/hug at the end. *slow clap*

Do they have a happy ending ?
It's not a "perfect" ending, but it's not a "sad" ending either. The series won't leave you heartbroken, I promise.

On You Make Me Dance May 20, 2021
No time-consuming side stories and no clumsy over-drawn conflicts. This drama is focused only on the main couple and I loved that. I really felt all of their emotions, especially whenever it dealt with Shi-On's mother (my heart!). There were cliches like turning on the radio ad JUST the right time, saying the name of the drama in drama, and of course the pinky on the bus thing, but the acting was good, the production quality was good, and the soundtrack fit perfectly.

Hong seok character was really well played.i really fell in love with his character. As for the other lead I was…
Agree about the dancing. I'm almost positive the actor isn't a dancing nor has any background in dancing. The camera angles even changed during his dancing scenes to not film him as directly, I think.

I feel like the best way to watch this series is:
-watch the first five episodes of Mood Indigo
-watch all of Pornographer
-watch the last episode of Mood Indigo

Having Kijima and Kido contextualized for when Kido pops up during Pornographer would make for a more fulfilling watch imo.

I can see how you would get that if you didn't come in knowing it was basically just a series of adverts for a grocery store. lol

Don't give western morals that much credit. This series is catching a lot of flack from fans in Taiwan too.
Basically all the same things people are saying here. From what I’ve read personally, the general response is that it’s disturbing.

The way I read it, the implication of what you wrote was that sexual assault was somehow more acceptable/normal in Asia and that in western countries, people clearly know that it’s not which is why you put it in quotes to begin with...to imply that it’s not western morality, it’s morality, period....and that morality is “differently perceived” in Asia about this topic.

If that wasn’t your intention, then good to know. I just responded how I understood it.

I am not getting the right-off-the-bat wholesomeness vibe that HIStory usually gives me. For starters, the main…
I wonder if it's a cultural/continental difference? In Asia, especially in the southern part, that actor is considered skinny, but not sickly. That body frame is extremely common here. In America or Europe though, I can see where you'd think he looks "anorexic" (though that's the most ineloquent way to put it).
It's like how people here would consider someone walking down the street with Mariah Carey's body to be categorically fat. The notion of "curvy" (in the Kardashian way, not the Fan Bing Bing way), "thick", and "healthy" don't really exist here. When people see western people like that, we know to accept that because more western media is consumed here in Asia than vice versa, so we kinda get it, but in general, in my experience, well over 70% of what a westerner (particularly a North American) would call "healthy", we'd just call "fat" or "big".

Is it just me or does the guy who played Yongjie look a bit like Den Lun? It only crossed my mind now
I got that for a split second too.
