Random question: so if Gord/Morn (from Cause You're My Boy) exist in this universe, does that also mean that Non (who's name is 'Ton' in CYMB) has purposely changed his name in an attempt to reinvent himself in university? :O lol

Back here again to light a virtual incense and pray to the production gods for this drama to FINALLY be released.

I'm 8 episodes in. I don't think it's necessarily the acting or the story. It's the directing and the editing...probably.…
Wholeheartedly agree with this comment. I've been rewatching some bits of it now that Fish Upon the Sky is out. I love to see how much Phuwin and Neo have grown, but tbh they weren't doing a bad job here either. I also really like the presentation of real-world issues in this series.

Okay but watching this and Cause you're my boy simultaneously is low-key distressing
And silly me coming into this thinking it was going to be about NeoPhu as a couple after having watched Cause You're My Boy lol

Agree about the dancing. I'm almost positive the actor isn't a dancing nor has any background in dancing. The…

Hank is great though as the lead.
Just aesthetically, I don’t think he matches the other guy. You’re right though. He’s doing a great job.

The moon isn't a romantic symbol in this series - it's an ominous one. The moon is always changing - rising, setting,…
That's how I'm seeing it as well. All I can see in these past two episodes is a relationship beautifully, yet irreparably tearing at the seams. I'm not beat up about it yet (as of episode 2) because I'm all for Oh'Aew figuring out whatever he wants to do in life without Teh always being the primary factor and because I've always gotten a determined in some aspects, yet an overall very wishy-washy vibe from Teh.

I feel for both for them and I'm rooting for them, but if they don't end up together and depending on how they show this happening, I wouldn't be totally disappointed.

Title I Promised You the Moon Spoiler
So many great moments this episode, but in the last scene, I couldn’t help connecting the presence of the moon. Promising the moon seems like something impossible to begin with and others have pointed that out. But when we see the full moon, particularly in between or near buildings, it tends to look bigger/closer than it actually is. Their promises on the roof seemed that much more hopeful, yet fragile with that in mind. Also, the moon was full. After the full moon, it begins to wane...like their relationship seems to be doing. I dunno. These are just my random thoughts. And when Oh-aew was told he was “too girly”, I felt like someone punched me in the stomach. :(

Yeah, that's true. Economic death traps and unfair trade deals aren't anything any other big economy country isn't guilty of. The US also upholds regimes with bad human rights records. The Chinese government did handle COVID bad at first, but that's one thing they actually did admit their fault on. In my life, I've never known the CCP to do that, but they actually did come out basically say, "We shrugged this off at first and that REALLY shouldn't have happened." I agree, the CCP is more a force for good than bad in the world though, but I also see America as that.
Your comment was quite coherent btw. :) lol

Really wish he got the other lead role in Be Loved in House (instead of Hank Wang). :( Hope to see more of him in the future!

The only people to whom China could possibly look more like an idealistic place than actually is are Chinese people. Those who haven't been outside of China, in particular. Very few countries have a favorable view of China and haven't had one for a very long time. I won't say it's an unwarranted view, but because domestic media is blatantly and openly controlled by the state and international media about China tends to always lend itself toward the negative side, there are often discrepancies about the details of these issues. That said, you mentioned the US problems tend to be out in the open, I think another difference (yet comparison) between the US Government and the CCP is that when the CCP does something horrible, the victims are usually Chinese. When the US Government does something horrible, the victims are citizens of other countries...usually poorer ones.

The acting was good in this and it really showed Mean and Can's chemistry, but it was just kinda boring overall. Yacht pulled through with the great comic relief as usual though.

This wasn’t bad, but I’m not sure what the message was supposed to be? Either way, the tall guy was supernaturally hot.

Idk I understand that TONS of people didn’t like this but there’s something about the leads that I’ve seen…
I like categorizing things, so I'll recommend a few BLs I really like from each country that is currently producing them regularly (except Philippines as I haven't watched any from there).

Japan:
Cherry Magic
His - I Didn't Mean To Fall In Love (it has two parts)
Takumi-kun (old, but classic Japanese BL, and five installments)

Thai:
A Tale of A Thousand Stars
Love By Chance
My Engineer
I Told Sunset About You (It's a gay love story between young guys, but it's not "BL" in the romantic fantasy way like others are, nevertheless it's AMAZING)

Korea:
Where Your Eyes Linger
To My Star
Color Rush

China:
Addicted
Advance Bravely
I Love You As A Man
*The Untamed
*Word of Honor
*both of these dramas are based on explicitly BL novels, but censorship in China reduces a bit to bromance, but the romance is still clearly seen, even if not physically

Taiwan:
We Best Love
History 2: Trapped
History 3: Make Our Days Count
Because of You
Dark Blue and Moonlight

Actually, I know several people who started with this series as their first BL and loved it, but you have to be…
One of the most smutty *Thai* BLs out there.
