Awesome watch to start my 2021

When I decided to watch this dorama I had no big expectations. I thought it would be fun and relaxing, and it was that but so much more.

Not only it showed several cool locations for when I visit Tokyo, but it presented their history in a very compelling way. I think one of the best ways to inform someone on a subject they are not particular interested in, is by being honestly enthusiastic. And the main character are exactly like that. They seem like that friend that talks so positively and passionately about their hobby that you just pay attention.

I already am a fan of architecture and design, so this dorama fit my taste like a glove. But it is more than just simple visual "porn".

As peer usual in Japanese shows, they imbued each episode with a small and subtle message about how to live your best life. The main character also grow little by little, which is so good to see.

I recommend this to anyway. Just sit back and enjoy the show.

A simple cozy and sometimes bittersweet dorama

This is one of those nuggets of gold we find from time to time. I started watching because the poster seemed fun, it had great actors and it was only half an hour per episode.

What I got in return was hours of joy, smiles, laughs and reflective moments. At the beginning of each episode a word is presented to us and by the end we get its meaning and how it relates to the episode story.

At moments I got to relate to each of the three main characters. It made me pause and reflect sometimes about my life, but in a positive way. No existential crisis.

In short, if you are looking for something good to watch, I highly recommend you hire these oyajis (ie pick up this show).

PS: The opening is dope af

Shima-chan loves Finland

This was my first time seeing Hiichan (Honda Hitomi) acting and what a treat this was! I'm used to seeing her being silly in AKB's variety shows so seeing her act was something different.
Basically this is a very short and sweet show about a young woman that happens to love Finland.
I love this type of shows with an otaku as the main lead as seeing people talking about stuff they love is something I enjoy.
There are some nice messages and life lessons in every episode about finding something you love and going after it.
The production design was great. There are not many locations but her apartment is very cute with various Finnish trinkets.
And you may was well want to learn how to cook some Finnish recipes.
All in all this a perfect show if you want something quick to put a smile on your face.

Nice second this season, I hope we get another one!

Just like in the first season, the vibes are so chill!
I love good design and architecture so a dorama that is basically just eye candy for that is always a good watch on my book.
That are some that I will make a point to book a guided tour when I visit Osaka.
In the mix of all the architectural marvel we get to know a little more about our characters.
I was lucky enough that I could, once again, relate to both of them.
Overall, I also felt that I grew a little by experiencing these amazing buildings and their stories.

This dorama was a treat! One of the best that I watched this year. The vibes and atmosphere were perfect for what I was looking for. Just a chill slice of life to pass the time.
Do not be mistaken that this is a thriller of anything BUT a slice of life. A slow paced one for that matter.
If you want to see something to relax and chill this a very good option.
It has been a long time since I connected to a character like I did with sensei, we are almost cut from the same cloth.
The little nuggets of life lessons I caught from each episode will stay with me as well ^^

Simple but very entertaining small dorama

What a great little dorama this was!
My first time seeing Shishido Kavka acting and what a treat! I hope to see more of her, specially in a complete opposite character as Akira.
Speaking of the main character, she is definitely different from other shows, but not as much from other serious detectives, although I only have watched Cold Case for comparison.
I hope this get another season in the future.
If you enjoy detective thriller but wants something less dramatic this one might be it. And basically all the character love Agatha Christie, so that is a huge plus in my books.

Not a regular comedy

This was a very lighthearted and short dorama.
It fulfilled its premise to a T. It never felted bloated or had any problems with the pacing.
Although it is not a laugh ou loud comedy, the characters and situations presented here are very entertaining and probably will have you smiling at the end of the episode.
I highly recommend this to anyone that is looking for something light and short to pass the time, or is a fan of Ikeda Elaiza. The character doesn't have much screen time, but every time she appears she steals the show and she is also very important for the growth of the male lead.

This one has entered my list of favs

I started watching this dorama because of Hashimoto Kanna and I'm so glad I did. Not only she did an amazing job playing Yuri, but the dorama itself was just the best thing I watched this year.

For the whole course of these 5 episodes I was 100% engage and captivated, thinking about not only what could happen next but more importantly, how these three girls would live their lives.

I still wont call them friends because what they had is something else.

Also, I really want to read the book sensei wrote. I like that she went the Tarantino route and rewrote history gave them a happy ending in the book. Like she said to Maho in episode one, she writes fiction.

This is definitely going to leave a everlasting impact on me. That is the power of good stories.

God, I truly love idols

What a great dorama!
As an idol fan it did justice conveying the feelings we have towards our idols. Why we support them and how they have a positive impact in our lives.
Of course Eripiyo would go a little overboard for comedic purposes, but it was all in good fun.
From final 10 minutes of the last episode until the credits rolled I was smiling the whole time.
Highly recommend this to anyone that likes idols, is curious about idol culture or is just looking for a good dose of serotonin.

This was a pure wholesome delight. The episodes are very entertaining and the comedy kicks in at the right time.
The songs are great and catchy, together with nice meanings behind the lyrics.
With a short runtime, this is perfect for a binge, while I preferred to watch it over the week. It's a great way to spend more time with this charming characters.
In addition to its funny side, the dorama has its sentimental moments where it may not be that surprising but the acting makes up for it.

Quirk little dorama

Basically I recommend this dorama to anyway that has time to spare and is looking for something quirk and funny.

By the end of it you are even going to learning a thing or two to improve your personal bath experiences.

The acting is very good but since the MC is a very odd girl you have to be prepared for a lot of silliness. The ending song is quite good as well.

Aside from the MC there is only her friend that appear in every episode. I think a total of five character appeared on the show.

Short and funny, that is Furo Girl

What a great show. Sunny Side Up Forever!

Wow, what can I say about this amazing dorama?

It truly touched me in a way I can't fully express in words. Seeing something capture my love for my idols is always nice, but this time it showed all the ups and downs.

I'm so happy everyone was able to keep going.

Ai-san working with Shiiba-san and in the Basement bar, helping the new generation of idols is just so good. Looks like she, Shiiba-san and Azuki-san didn't migrate towards the new group (Frosty) but each other way is fine. It is what happens when the group disbands. Some goes to "oshing" another and some don't.

Hana-chan seems to have not only made up with the girl she made the fake photo but they are actually friends. She seems to be doing ok. Hana-chan as well. Being able to work and pay back every penny Ai-san lend to her was a nice touch.

I understand her wanting to distance herself from the group ad the fans to not make them be associate with the whole Urita debacle, but in my head canon, she is now in a place were she can meet them again. She move forward a future were she can say I'm home (Tadaima Mirai).

What a great show. Sunny Side Up Forever!

The dream continues

Basically a parallel universe version of the first season.
Here we are seeing some familiar faces in completely different characters, for better or for worse. It all depends of how attached you get from their original version.
We also have quite a lot of new people joining the cast this time.
The ending was quite nice and I liked the overall message of you can find new dreams, don't matter how long they take.
I prefer the first season, but this one is on par with its predecessor quality.

A new hobby

I had no expectations going in. I just wanted to watched something nice and chill. Having one of my favorite Nogizaka46's members as the main character was just the cherry on top.
Gotta say this dorama surprised me. I was not expecting to like it so much.
There is something about seeing people falling in love with something and then sharing it with others that I just find so fun to watch.
Be prepared to learn about the world of plastic models, it goes beyond just Gundam and robots, and see how the script weaves in the specific model to what the character building it is going through.
Definitely recommend this one to everyone.

Pleasant slice of life with 0 drama

We are basically a fly on the desk that Momo-chan and Ume-san share, witnessing their conversations about all matters of things, especially regarding the office work.
This gives a similar vibe to Fictitious OL Diary.
If you are looking for something easy to watch that can make you laugh, this is it.
With two 5 minutes segments per episode, you can watch it at you own pace as there is no plot in here. We are just watching two OLs shooting the shit while at work.
Thought the dorama we also get to know some of the other employees in the company and Kuriyama Chiaki's Nee-san is my personal favorite outside the main duo.
Speaking of which, Ito Sairi and Eguchi Noriko are not only amazing at the titular pair, but they seem to have had a blast recording the show judging by how much they laugh during their character's silly convos
