Title War of Y Spoiler
So I just heard from WOY acting coach that the exchange between Pan and Song was a pivotal moment for Pan’s…
What exchange? The one that wasn’t translated (via messages)?

The goofiness was there for me too. I was laughing at a lot of the silliness. I think this is a series that wasn't…
Absolutely!

This story is insane! What was the point of any of the storylines? Especially the King/Pete/Sean love triangle. It ended with nothing…
Valen is such an immature character, it’s hard to imagine anyone who is attending university behaving this way. He should mature a bit first before even contemplating entering a relationship. By the middle of the last episode I was wishing for Khaitoon and Sean to just start dating each other.
Bottom line: Jeff is too good for this mess

Happy to know you liked this series. I liked this a lot. Reason why I found Triage, this time it’s Tae and Tee.But…
Yes, I loved Triage too!
I really don’t understand why so many people kind of disliked PwL. I’ve read several reviews and I simply couldn’t relate. Imo the writing here is above average especially compared to a lot of other BLs.

I’ve been thinking about this as well and came to the conclusion that Vee must have felt some kind of way about…
Excatly. Bar didn’t have any problems telling Mark off and Vee is notoriously known for his hot-headed jealous outbreaks. Even after Mark and Vee kind of started dating Vee kept acting out bc he was jealous (even if it was unfounded). Therefore it stands to reason that even back then Vee was jealous as well but instead of dealing with it in a more proper fashion he kept bullying Mark. Kind of how immature children bully someone they might like to get their attention bc they don’t know how to deal with such situations in a proper way (yet).

That’s a very good point! I completely missed it. He truly went out of his way to bring Mark back to his room. Considering that Vee was supposed to be someone who seemed to dislike Mark the most on the outside, his action simply didn’t make sense if he wasn’t at least the least bit confused about his feeling towards Mark. He also wouldn’t have slept with Mark, if he wasn’t attracted to him at all. I find it interesting that he kept at it even if he one hundert percent knew that Mark mistook him for Bar. It makes me think that Vee almost saw it as a chance to bind Mark to him an a way and/or to have a an excuse to keep hounding him bc otherwise there would be no excuse for him to keep being around Mark anymore. Obviously it’s f*cked up from a moral stand point but Vee never much cared for morality in the first place judging by his actions.

Everything you wrote makes perfect sense to me.

What giant elephant are you talking about? That Vees dad was seemingly against the relationship or what do you…
Yeah, I understood it in the same way. Vees brother seemed to have had brought I boy back before (some kind of homecoming king?) and their father wasn’t keen on the idea of his son/a dating boys (I guess) and that’s why he wasn’t particularly welcoming towards Mark the first time. In the 9th episode I reckoned it was a roundabout way for the father to tell them that he accepts their relationship. Why the sudden change? I’m not sure..maybe he just needed some time to get comfortable with it. The motorcycle scene (Vee wanting to buy a new one vs the dad telling him to fix it) was another metaphor for Vees relationship with Mark and maybe that was the key moment when the dad decided to open up to the idea of same sex relationships. Again, it’s just how it seemed to me personally. The mom probably told him about Vees struggles when Mark was ghosting him.
And yeah, in BLs there are still rarely any acknowledgement of specific sexyalities. Though it seems to me that Mark is openly gay. Considering how almost all significant boys in BLs end up in same-sex relationships it’s almost a tradition for the brother/s to be gay/queer too haha

I don't understand Episode 9 during the scene at Vee's house when his father joined the dinner table with Mark…

You know... there is one thing I don't understand about this though... I mean technically, Vee cheated on Ploy…
I’ve been thinking about this as well and came to the conclusion that Vee must have felt some kind of way about Mark way before they had sex. Because instead of simply moving on afterwards he specifically kept hounding Mark throughout the campus in a low-key flirty fashion while never missing a moment to remind Mark that they slept together. This type of behaviour wouldn’t make sense at all if Vee didn’t have any feelings towards Mark before they slept together. It seems to me that Vee probably started developing some feeling for Mark when the latter was aggressively going after Bar. It could be that Vee didn’t realise those feelings at first or didn’t acknowledge them for what they were but that way it would make sense why he was the only out of the friend group who was bothered the most by Mark giving attention to Bar.
I think that night simply snowballed whatever feelings have been building up in Vee.
At least that’s my interpretation..

Haven’t seen the last episode yet but I have to say I like it a lot so far. This show has given me all the feels I expected to get from Theory of Love but never did. They made Vee a little goofy in comparison to his earlier version but I don’t dislike it. It made him more likeable imo and gave him more personality than just a hot-headed asshole. The boxing match felt a little out of place though

I don't get it either. So he showed Tono a fake picture of himself when he was kid and then had the filter up…
He didn‘t even need to show Tono a fake picture …he could’ve just shown his real childhood picture or did he have a pimple in that picture as well? What was the point of the fake picture anyway? They’d already seen each other on camera pimple or no pimple.

I‘m a little sad about the low rating. I personally liked it a lot. It was a cheesy but nice romcom (yeah, I feel like the comedy tag is missing) with good acting and interesting characters that actually have relatable flaws. There was no self-inserts, the character growth made sense and the interactions were fun to watch. The only thing I disliked/was confused by is the misunderstanding. They forced the length of that a little too hard imo. It could’ve v´been cleared much earlier but I guess the writers really wanted that jealousy trope to last. Well, it’s ok bc otherwise I loved it.

It was ok I guess…
But was the pimple truly the main problem that made Boss have a filter on etc? Weren’t they supposed to be in contact for like weeks? The pimple would’ve gone away by then…

I agree, but there's a way to tell it, and a way not to tell it. The characters still need to act like actual…
Well, I understand where you’re coming from. It still never bothered me bc it felt believable to me. Maybe it’s bc I saw the family conflict as more of a framework for the love story instead of it being the central conflict.
They were technically dating in secret but it more or less showcased that the family was starting to accept it. I took it that the family has always known that they never broke up and just needed time to come to terms with it before they proceed to accept their relationship openly. I mean, I would’ve liked more of a development between the families but I myself am ok with the way it ended.

I never had a feeling like they set up a continuation but it certainly would’ve made more sense. I feel like if there’s limited screen time you got to pick and choose. They could’ve completely cut the dad conflict and concentrated solely on the boys but they didn’t. Why? Honestly idk. Maybe they wanted more drama. Bad choice if you’ve only got so many minutes to work with. Without harping too much on it, it just felt like they made the dad the main antagonist and then never resolved the issue that prevented them from getting together. It’s like the antagonist disappeared into thin air bc no screen time. It even would’ve made more sense if the boys ran away together or smt.

Actually the time skip in bad buddy was the only one that didn’t bother me. Usually I hate time skips bc they are used as last minute drama where the characters have to break up and not contact each other again for at least like a year, which makes the inevitable reconciliation super awkward and forced. I mean, how can you just kiss and be happy ever after when you haven’t seen you ex/bf. for over a year, especially if you parted ways on a bad note? In Bad Buddy they never broke up, so the twist for the audience worked imo without making it forced or weird. But it’s just my opinion. Also, I felt the conflict with the parent was done realistically or at least believable imo. Neither the character nor the script pushed he parent to be super accepting and it made sense to me. In the end they needed time to come to terms with the situation and that gave off a bitter sweet (more sweet than bitter imo) feeling. I personally liked it but I get it. To each their own.

I haven seen peach of time yet, I’m not a super big fan of jimmy and the story didn’t really grab my attention but it’s still technically on my to watch list.
