I loved Love's Ambition and the ML in it, but I have periodically thought when someone brings up that series on this page: How cool would CXX have been in that role?

Well, we have to have conflict but the beauty is that she doesn't fall for or for one second entertain any of his BS and it makes ML realize what's at stake.

He is not yearning; he's dick swinging. Tension? What tension? She is not in the least bit romantically interested in that man. If by tension you mean ML hates to see the foul way SML is trying to go after the girl he loves, that's a different story. And if SML really liked her, he would not behave the way he does and know that she doesn't like that kind of bullshit.

What is to like about this guy? He goes out of his way to undermine ML personally and professionally in the lowest possible manner.

Her husband has been spending a lot of time and texting with that junior sister. Told the junior about quitting his job before he told the wife. It appears that she's been helping him a lot with a project related to his start-up. He also missed their anniversary dinner and gave her a promotional gift cup from a cafe as a gift. Then, she also saw that girl kiss him and is now feeling devastated. Don't think he's cheating but does a lot of lying by omission and doesn't share important things.

I think that Xiu suspects that XZY is experiencing some inner turmoil. We haven't seen her acting brokenhearted all of the time the way we have been for her or crying into her coffee. And even though he cooled things down in their personal lives a bit, he's still so present for her in those sweet little ways.

I agree with you and think she's insightful enough to know he cares about her and there must be more to what happened on the roof. She's also not even remotely interested in Pei. When he was trying to get her to leave with him, she literally ran to ML's car, lol.

That works for me, too! Yours is better because it connotes action versus a dream. :)

And thank goodness for the ML's bestie who sounded the alarm that poor Zhou was in trouble and then came to her rescue again.

I hope they bury the hatchet, too, but I still want him to at the same time be miserable. I respect a healthy competition, but they are too old for him to still be so gross. Did you see the episode 19 preview?

No, it does not. The SML is attracted to her but he will never in a million years have a chance with her. She even said today that she's not stupid enough to get carried away just because that jerk is being kind to her. She sees right through him.

So, don't worry about that at all.
