How was she stringing him along when she verbally agreed to his pursuing him? If she didn't care about him she wouldn't spend all of her free time with him!

But I think it was a revelation to both herself and him how much she really cares. She was seriously frantic and both LYS and I were stunned to see she'd tried to call him 15 times. That's a lot.
And I don't think she's been stringing him along and neither does he, though he didn't realize how much she cared. And she did give him permission to pursue her. They have been happily enjoying each other's company at work, after work at dinner, during their business trip, and on vacation, getting to know one another without any pressure.
It was soooo good. To his credit, Sad Sack SML trusted Genius ML to take care of Kevin who was the one who got hurt. He even advised on the surgery!!! My heart broke for him because it's so obvious that he misses being a surgeon and the older doctor at the county hospital was really counting on him for support since they don't usually do such big surgeries at their little hospital.
As for XG, she was bloody frantic AF and had called him 15 times!!! And even asked her mother to call his mother to find out if she'd heard anything. I think the reason she got so upset with him, in addition to unbeknownst to her his message going through belatedly because of a poor signal and missed calls from him because her phone froze, was because due to her detective work, ie, call to his mother, she's, like, why TF didn't you call me, the girl you claim to like, her frustration emphasized with 80,000 exclamation marks.
Meanwhile, Sullen SML not only got to witness firsthand how XG seriously cares about Dr. ML but also what a kind, brilliant medical professional and decent human being he is. Like, there is no competition.
I wish I could go to sleep and wake up Thursday morning. I cannot believe how brilliant this series is. No complaints!!!
