And at least our darling Cherry didn't take to her bed for weeks and maybe months when her true love disappeared, unlike our sweet Sangyan, who didn't leave his bedroom until his little sister told him she learned about heartbreak while watching what happens in fairytales when the prince can't find the princess: He works hard, gets his shit together and in the end prevails. I love that scene so much. When Yifan finally reentered his life, he had excelled at uni, had a great job till he didn't want it anymore, started a thriving business with his friends.

I love how the whole family embraced him, feeding his tummy and his soul. And he probably spent all of the time they weren't at school or sleeping together with Cherry.

I felt it, too. She was so brave and grown up to try to reassure him in the beginning that she wasn't freaking out over his reduced circumstances: he looked healthy, had a place to live, people to talk to. Those factors were likely reassuring to her, but she was deeply saddened by how he was living and she knew revealing that sadness would hurt him and maybe push him away.

Also, the landlord couldn't just leave her leaning on her suitcase in that chaotic hallway. It was safer for her to be inside the sad flat and he also probably wanted her to see the walls of love, when he said she would understand how he knew who she was when she went inside.

I was amazed by Cherry's awsomeness when they first met in his sad flat and she said he wasn't homeless, has a tan that makes him look healthier, and people around him to interact with. She didn't shed a tear or show how devastated she was for him and his severely reduced circumstances until she wept in the shower.

Some posters fret over her alleged obsession with him, but after seeing the walls of love, is there a question that he feels the same way? She needs to photograph them so she can show the doubters and say, "See? See? He was thinking of and loving me, too!"

As for Young Master Yu, he confessed (with the photo in his wallet) and gave her the info she needed to go find JQX all in one go, which was so honorable. He let her know how he was feeling, but also accepted she doesn't feel the same way and didn't try to pursue her.

These actors are so wonderful. I am still swooning over our male lead from his role in The Best Thing and our FL from Amidst a Snowstorm of Love. Watching these and others, I amazed these people don't fall in love in real life. And between acting in Amidst a Snowstorm of Love and Our Generation (I don't do costume dramas), I wonder what the actress thinks about love and what her expectations are.

I am so looking forward to my rewatch of this when I won't feel anxious because I will know everything will be alright.

But also kind of funny and sweet when she called him the second time, he asked what is it and she said, "nothing," because she was just wanting to make sure he was there.

Isn't the purpose of watching series like this and our idol romance dramas to have fun and wallow in the fantasy of it all? Some of these dramas are just so bloody romantic and I love it. No, it's not reality, but as I'm laughing and clapping my hands while watching, I could care less.

It is very worth it. Just wait til all episodes are available.

I was perfectly fine with the landlord letting Cherry in. He had obviously seen the walls of love and knew she was the love of our male lead's life and she was drifting off to sleep in the dark and rain outside the building waiting for JQX. He was doing them a favor. I did for a moment think she was being a bit reckless following him inside but then he let her know he'd seen her before and I was okay with it.

I want minimal contact with family and friends.

He was so much fun. And I love how he was, like, dozens of rando chicks follow him to our doorstep and I don't let them in, but YOU, I know. "You'll see."

I have now watched episode 19 on Netflix and then 20 on Daily Motion and they were soooooo good!!! I'm holding my breath until 21. I've seen comments about an express drop of the final four. Where is that?

I think I've shared that this is the first time I've watched a series drip by drip and that I'm a total binger. Don't think I'll do that again because the angst I've experienced as this series has unfolded is kind of crazy, especially over characters from a novel/drama.

Moving forward, I want minimal friends and family scenes because we have not spent enough time alone with our leads.

I also think that Cherry knows something is very, very, very wrong in JQX's life and that's why he's cut everyone off. His keeping the same phone number so he can read her texts is probably a comfort to her as well because no matter what's going on he knows she still cares for and is thinking about him, just like the Edward character in the story the roommate shared with her.

Yeah, she's a bit melancholy, but she's also thriving at uni, which is what he wanted for her. And in an ideal world, they will end up happily ever after and it will have all been worth it.

I totally agree with you both. Look at how he's living! It gave ME a stomach ache. Yu was also visibly shocked and pained. Imagine how Cherry would respond. And elixirgood is absolutely right: he's still so young, had a sheltered and privileged upbringing and has been reduced to having to take on huge responsibilities that no young person his age should have to deal with.

I think the viewers calling him selfish and all sorts of other things look at him as a man, when really he's barely out of his teen years and dealing with things many actual fully grown adults would not be able to handle.

Plus, he's still so young and literally forced to become a whole adult facing financial pressures!!! And this story took place more than 20 years ago.
