That question is partly answered in the novel, but it might be handled differently in the drama. Happy to share…
My guess, if this follows the spoiler comments that I've read , he is illegitimate son of grandfather. Fisherman taking care of him. But the DNA test has me questioning whether he is biologically related to the family. This is good! because it will keep me guessing till the end.
It looks like novel storyline and drama is diverging if ML and his "father" dna do not match. Then he can't be his biological brother too because they are not related by family ties?
So guys i wonder why wtpr still stuck in 6% rating in korea? I mean yys & csb literally topped the brand reputation…
I think the Neilsen rating system have problem getting the true demographics of viewers because of the diverse types of devices that people use to watch "television'. Kind of the same problem US election pollsters have. Don't know about this show, but Lovely Runner was such a big hit but the TV ratings were pretty middling. This show, I suspect would be popular with younger demographics and not older folks like uncle and aunties who still watches using television boxes. I mean the long afternoon weekend family dramas tend to blow away other short series in ratings.
Compared to others (like QoT) it is not doing that well/ratings are average in South Korea. But internationally?…
This is the show QoT should have been if the script was tighter , focussed on the nain couple reconcilation and not all over the place with side plots and characters. What a dissapointment from that famous writer and waste of the stellar talent.
lol what makes you think that? she's one of the only people both aware of and regretful over whatever happened…
I think the director is throwing us and novel readers a red herring by providing such obvious clues to dojae's guilt. There may be more layers in the drama version. I certainly hope so!
Darn, I think the series would be much more enjoyable to me if we didnt already know who pushed hee joo down the clift and also MLs true background . Serves me right for reading the spoilers.
Unfortunately i couldnt resist reading novel spoilers from people here. So most of the key culprits have been revealef to me. I hope the drama changes the story.
Fun? Seems to me to be a torturous process for most people here.
On the other hand, watching "live" for me means, i will be forced to watch every episode and as a result appreciate the series more. I'm pretty trigger happy with the remote fast forward button. Heck, sometimes I will watch episode1,2 then jump to ending 16, then jump back to ep4. Some episodes I will read recaps so as to be able to skip. I call it efficiency watching, but it spoils the experience. This is something I always do on cdramas because they have too many episodes.
For those who have the same question as I'm having about the drama and who knows ML's true family ties in the novel.
