I believe that the series is well written and that the acting, wardrobe as well as the scenery and graphics are amazing. I really love the concept of two individuals from what is supposedly the opposite side of the tracks developing a genuine love, sincerity or friendship for one another. I have not been a huge fan of the ML in the past because of one of the series that I watched him in and I just felt like his character was just like too much for me, so I was hesitant to watch this but I have developed a new found love for the ML because he has really shown great acting skills throughout this series.
What I like most about the series is that the ML has really portrayed his character well in every aspect, the good side, the bad side, the protective side, the caring side, the daring as well as bold and fearless. He has really portrayed them all really well. I am also a huge fan of fantasy historical dramas, so this really plays into the genre that I gravitate to. There’s some excellent fighting/power scenes that will make you really want to rewind it and watch it again and there are some heartbreaking scenes in which you see how some of the individuals background and hardships that they went through. I think that they did a really great job giving us a full view of who the male lead was. I really enjoyed watching his scenes and learning about who he was and why he is the way his to who he is right now. It’s amazing.
What I did not like about this series unfortunately was the female leads character. I know many people will disagree but it’s my opinion right. I feel that the writers gave her too many annoying habits/traits that were hard to digest together.
Writers have taken that naïve and innocent character way too far and it teeters on the line of sheer stupidity. I honestly did not like it.
#1The female characters voice sounded like a eight or nine-year-old the entire time. If it was just that I would’ve been able to tolerate it a little better.
#2 they also made her character really naïve and at times completely clueless, borderline stupid. I just don’t think that crap is cute. And I don’t mean the naïve kind like Ji Mi from ashes of love, I mean this was another level.
#3 her character was one that seem to completely be infatuated with the 2ML because he saved her. Because of this she seems to lose all sense of reason.
#4 she constantly got into things that made it appear that she had no survival instinct at all. Who goes to reason with someone that was just trying to kill you and had you tied up.
#5 because of all of these it made it really hard for me to view her and the ML in a more romantic relationship because her character just seems like someone that was 12 years old, unrealistic and that quite honestly needed to be supervised because she’s clueless. She is absolutely cute but those looks can only take you so far.
The action in the series is really good. There are not a significant amount of side relationships throughout the series but there are a few that have significance to the story. In the beginning there’s a lot of screen time but as we got to the middle it kind of dwindled and then they just popped up again. Up to episode 25 the FL is still not gelling well with the ML. She is not sincere, or honest towards him. But she is able to see that he is a person other than what others portray him to be. No budding relationships just yet but the chemistry is okay.

This movie is well another typical Stockholm’s film. Our ML abducted the wrong female and literally tortures her by forcing her to do manual labor, locking her up into a cabin in the woods, nearly drowning her, making her cook and pretty much be a servant to him, eventually raping her and with that assault finally realizing he grabbed the wrong person. In between or after all of those things he realizes he loves her and confesses. After many episodes of pursuits she gives in. But not without him going in and getting his revenge against the person that actually committed the offense in the first place. To top it off we have our normal cliché event in which our female lead is willing to sacrifice her dysfunctional love and her safety to repay someone’s kindness/favor.
And our female lead lives happily ever after with a man who tortured her for months because she realized he wasn’t that bad after all. Insert eye roll here.
The one pro about it was that it wasn’t boring and there was always something going on. H the series wasn’t horrible but it could’ve been much better without that actual assault taking place and definitely if the female lead was a bit tougher. Hey series was actually OK but the concept/idea of a victim falling in love with their captor who essentially tortured and assaulted them is not what I consider I love story. If they had actually taken out the assault and made it a bit more humane have might’ve enjoyed it more.

The series revolves around a bet between the ML and his nemesis “the ML had to stay in the countryside for a month or bow at his nemesis feet or the other way around.” To me this was very ridiculous and somewhat immature. The nemesis of his had a habit of making fun of him and picking on him because of something that happened in the ML youth. The ML agrees to go to the countryside to prove that he can do it for a month. Of course he thought nothing of it and agree to it. My first thought is if someone bothers me to the point where it is getting on my nerves why would I agree to do something that I don’t want to do just because. There was no real benefit from him going he just simply agreed to prove that he can do it. They weren’t even friends.
FL was a bit more realistic, strong and somewhat easy going, character was well done.
Secondly, the ML so called friends were in on it so they could profit from recording him as part of their show while he was there. My thoughts “what kind of friends are these.” while I was watching I just kept thinking this is so illegal to be recorded and broadcast on live TV without consent but of course that was never brought up. Not only did the male lead not know that he was being recorded, at least initially the female lead did not know either. Again once these individuals found out no one even mentioned suing, rights, violations.
One of my reason the rating was that the ML character just seemed weak, easily manipulated and lacked confidence. The other is, I really hated how the ML so called friends did that for their benefits, never really apologized but still seemed to be friends after such a violation of trust. He also pulled around by his mother. Just no. Gave it a 6 because it was so unrealistic.

What I like most was the character development of the ML. He was a handful in the beginning but you slowly saw him becoming a better person because of that situation.
What if didn’t like was the ending. It just didn’t show a conclusion but it wasn’t terrible.

Well there’s action
First of all, let’s address the mentioned genre. It is most certainly action, drama and crime but that romance tag is a big stretch unless you consider catching feelings near the end. There’s no big romance here.Moving on the the story itself. It is definitely interesting but there was no real mystery. You knew almost immediately who the bad guys and good guys were. Even the jealous girls were so obvious. I felt that a bit more mystery or even a hint of romance would have made for a more interesting plot. Basically what we have here is a father son duo that have planned to steal from a family by using the sons relationship with the other family’s daughter. The sad part of the story for me as the viewer is that the FL remained clueless about the schemes and even the guys unfaithfulness until the last few episodes. That’s just way too long. Her cluelessness just made it one of those situations were you just want to throw your hands up and leave her to the wind. She had warnings and nope she just kept believing.
I like that it had some action, but I disliked the cluelessness. I will say that it’s not a rewatch for me.

Series revolves around a playboy who is determined to get the FL to fall in love with him. He spends X amount of episodes pursuing her while still hooking up with other females. Yes eventually his feelings change for the FL and she stops being just a mission but someone he cares for. Sadly his care was not enough to make him respect her and stop fooling around with other females. Not only did he lie and manipulate from episode one to the very last episode this ML also derailed relationships of people that were close to him by dragging them into his bad behaviors. This was not funny. It was not cute. It was not romantic. This is why I make so many women suspicious and mistrusting of men because of me and like this. I had hoped that this guy would be redeemed but he wasn’t he just stay the same. We’ve all seen shows like this where the male or female change their bad habits/cheating ways and become better people. This is not it. This guy cheating and flirted to the very last second of the show. As a matter of fact, it ended with his wife dragging him out of a club. However the writers made light of this and played it up as boys will be boys. By the end of this series, I was thinking what a sad life to be married to a compulsive lier and cheater. To have to drag your husband out of the club or search his phone. This was not a comedy, this was truly a degrading tragedy from beginning to the ver end and I do mean very end (it ended with him lying while the producers played happy music)
Spare yourself this one. The playboy is not redeemed. This is the epitome of a woman being married to a womanizer with no desire or intent to ever change. It was just ridiculously pathetic.
The stars that I did give this series is simply because of the supporting cast. They seemed more genuine and worth watching but even some of them terrible habits.

What I liked most was that it was down to earth and somewhat natural. The situations were relatable and at times touching.
What I disliked is that they didn’t expand on the leads relationship or the simple fact that it just seemed to lack chemistry. The FL had a neutral or depressed look on her face 90% of the time.
Would I watch it again? Not on purpose.
Is it worth reviewing? Not particularly.
Any climatic moments? Nope.
Is it swoon worthy? Nope.

Don’t do it. Messed up ending.
This was definitely heartbreaking but the writers turned it into something more. The took a characters heartbreak and turned it into selfishness on another level. Please don’t read below if you don’t want the spoiler. It’s definitely a summary of he tragic events. ?.
A couple (not close at all) loses their soon due to an accident (he left the house at night looking for them). The wife blames the spouse and mistress because she went to find them, therefore she wasn’t at home (like babysitters don’t exist).
In summary; child is hit by a car while outside at night, in the rain looking for his mom, who just so happen to be going to confront her husband who she already knew was cheating, really no shocker., the person that caused it didn’t see him, didn’t realize. The driver and mom falls in love and get married then the case is solved. Stepdad who by the way is amazing, loving, patient and loyal is revealed to had been the driver. Sadly he wasn’t even aware that it happened. But no forgives or mercy granted. She doesn’t forgive him, he goes to jail and she just so happens to keep his son forever. Clearly she never loved the man. I can imagine the kid growing up and finding his dad or asking this woman questions. The lies will create a sequel.
Totally depressing.

I actually liked the overall plot of the series. The acting was good as well, but I felt that it was just too long for a series that was this slow. Lastly, I’m a sucker for historical romance and this seemed to have that sweetness to it. But that was stretch as well.
For my romantics or happy ending lovers be warned. Some would say bitter sweet, but some would also call it said. After that many episodes I expected better but nope. It was terrible, but it’s definitely a filler series.

Series starts out at a fairly good pace but it quickly got a bit repetitive. You get the regular adult children being ordered around by their parents like they can’t think for themselves. You got the richer looking down on the ones with less money. The main difference between this series and other cliche of life dramas was this one just really didn’t feel like a conclusive ending or a happy one. It was just an ending. I invested lots of time in the main couple and then it crashed and burned. Not what I was expecting. Was this review helpful to you?

What I like was that the actors were amazing, the setting and focus. What I disliked was that it was a bit long. I also felt the ending was a big chop which was like someone changed the channel at the last few moments. Just wasn’t fulfilling for me.

Along the way, these two individuals who came from very humble backgrounds were able to live a comfortable, loving (though not financially rich) life, giving to those when they were able to.
Series does display conflict between family loyalty and chasing your dreams. It also displays how love, grace and loyalty can make the little you have feel like riches.
I rated it a 6, not because it was bad but because it was very slow and somewhat uneventful.

What I enjoyed most was the acting. There skills were great and they did a great job displaying the characters emotions. I also love a good hate to love drama and this one definitely came with those elements.
Where it fell short for me: the relationship was too turbulent. Trust was never established. Loyalty was misplaced by greed. The behaviors/script of each lead made them both seem ridiculous, i.e, once you’ve crossed a certain point, your revenge plot is stupid and if you’re so in love, you really can’t be oblivious to your lovers feelings. This series was long and I felt that the romance aspects of this series fell very short. Our leads had a few good moments that was shortly overshadowed by plots, misunderstandings, poor communication and lack of trust. This went on to the very end.
