Thanks for the list. There are some outstanding actresses on it. Ai Mi will have to keep working hard to reach their level.
My follow-up question is, would you change the script which sets Xie Jiayu's age around 16 / 17 or do you believe they can play a character that is set around Ai Mi's real age better than Ai Mi?
Personally, I don't believe they can because Ai Mi is living in this exact moment, so she can connect to the character better than anyone. Ask yourself this, don't you think playing a 16 / 17-year-old for an entire drama would be beneath Dilraba at this point? What benefit would such a character contribute to DD's accomplished career?
Yes, yes. We all love epic battles, heroic moments, and blood and guts. But, it was these moments had me in stitches and warmed my heart...
1) Xie Jiayu comes to rescue Xiao Wuyi, only to shoot him with the crossbow.
2) Xie Jiayu gets busted smuggling deadly weapons and devices under her wedding attire. She then attempts to arrogantly boss Xiao Wuyi around, prompting him to toss her over his shoulder like a bag of rice and put her on his horse.
3) Xie Jiayu kicks over Xiao Wuyi's pot plant and gives him a smug look.
4) Xiao Wuyi sweetly nibbles on Xie Jiayu's hawthorn cakes while she sleeps.
Itβs a China series, itβll be all out before you know it..Itβs not like OTHER COUNTRIES that only has 1…
Truth. Didn't shows like "Westworld" take a year or two before seasons. Only to eventually get cancelled. I think they spin those shows out for cash, and have no intention of ending them while money is coming in.
yes pre-broadcast investment has begun but KTTPH is only 20+ episodes so it'll be a short run, maybe done in 2…
Overdo is on my WL, so I suppose I shouldn't complain. And if it does air against those other dramas, I'll end up watching all three and have a bloated WL π. I just wanted that b2b to happen so badly. I followed both LIRD and KTTPH right from the first day of filming. That always makes them more special. I'll just have to wait patiently to meet YHC βοΈπ.
Personally, I loved every minute. You'll find quite a few below agree.
I think you'll love it. There's a comedy component, which I usually hate in dramas. But it's just so crisp and well delivered that I couldn't stop myself laughing out loud.

Just curious about the twenty-somethings and thirty-somethings that have mastered the art of playing 16 to 17-year-old characters.
