I am always curious about so many things the moment one episode end but guess what I gotta wait for 24 hours.…
The trade-off. Wait, get behind everyone else, and binge ~vs~ Keep up with the live airing, but endure waiting for the next episodes to drop. It's annoying, but I'll always choose live airing.
Congratulations to Zhang Xiaofei, Dilraba and Lay Zhang for leading this box office hit!
Congratulations to Director Stephen Chow, and also for choosing Ai Mi after she answered his global casting call to actors and actresses, and successfully auditioned for a supporting role!
2) NRTA is China's censorship board, and they gave the airing license of "Key to The Phoenix Heart" in less than three months from date of submission, which is a record for a longform historical costume drama. Casting Ai Mi means they have an even-higher standard to uphold, because the laws of protection pertaining to minors such as her is strict. You are saying you believe China's censorship board is wrong and you are right?
I'm not reading anything more into KTTPH, since there is no sexualisation or vulgarity that Western standards are used to expecting. Western standards are used to so much PDA and sensationalism that frankly, I stopped watching Hollywood movies. I prefer to stay with the Golden Years of Hollywood. Just as I don't think "Beauty and The Beast" is about promoting bestiality, I don't think "Snow White" is about taking advantage of an unconscious woman.
I want to understand how you make your decisions. That is how discourse works. The point of bringing up the chemistry screen read that I noticed is because you completely misunderstood what "chemistry" meant from Xiang83 when they said that, but you don't want to admit you are wrong there. If that is how you typically function, plus your answers always hinge on "I know best and nothing you say will make me reconsider my view", then this conversation is over.
You will believe you are right. And I will understand where you are coming from, and I politely and completely disagree with you. Thank you.
What were they thinking when they audition an underage actress for the FL's role. That the FL character is a teenage…
This drama is focused on politics first, and romance is a secondary subfocus. Romance in C-dramas is not always about kisses, unless you have always limited yourself to those C-dramas that involve smooching and PDA, and then you mistakenly believe C-Dramas must have those to be a romance.
Ai Mi does not need to do teenage student roles, because she already did two of those as non-idol dramas with two respected Directors.
She has also been building her way up in movies. She auditioned and completed filming for "Kung Fu Soccer", before she started filming for "Key To The Phoenix Heart". KFS is now a huge blockbuster in China.
An MDL article has just been posted about this movie's blazing achievements at the box office, where Ai Mi has a supporting role:
When Xie Jiayu beat the drum and perfectly harmonised with Xiao Wuyi, it was a deeply symbolic two hearts beating as one moment. 💙❤️
