Well, I can say I have 2ML syndrome. IDK why, but DW with fake facial hair is surprisingly attractive.

At first this feels like an over the top, flashy, over sexualized verticle drama. The characters of the uncle and female cousin are a bit cartoonish. But I have to say, it quickly became apparent that there was some very good story telling and psychological development of the FL. ML is strikingly handsome even during closeups on his less than perfect skin. Leads have 🔥 chemistry.

ok, yes, I get that but we viewers are left to figure it out without having read the book. All he says is “I am sorry I made you wait so long”.

I do love a HEA but I don’t see how they die right in front of the other person, are buried, then show up years later. It’s not like if he died on some far off battlefield and the body could be anyone. At least that leaves room for a slightly more reasonable explanation. It would have been better if he faked it to expose the empress dowager and get the cure. But no, the miraculous and implausible dead, not dead ML. Otherwise I did like it. lol.
