I’ve tried many times to watched this one (because I love Reply 1994 and like 1997) but can never get past episode 5. I find it boring and can’t stand the FL sister. She’s disrespectful to her parents and everyone around her.

I think the reason people didn’t give Reply 1994 a higher rating is because a lot of people wanted her to end with Chilbong instead of the ML, because he was younger and better looking. I loved that she ended with the ML. I loved their friendship and their love story and how he cared for her.

I have watched Reply 1997 and Reply 1994 (this one is my favorite and my comfort watch) many times. I have never been able to go last episode 5 on this one, Reply 1988. I don’t understand why the rating is much higher than the other too. I’ve tried and tried to finish it and always drop it. I found it boring and the older sister of the FL extremely disrespectful to her parents and everyone around her. I couldn’t stand her.

If I find it anywhere else, I’ll let you know.

Online it says on Tubi. You can probably find it on kissasian or dramacool too. I’m not sure. The Taiwanese version is called “In time with you”. Make sure it’s the Taiwanese version when you look for it 😁

I’m on episode 10 and so far they’re all irritating me to the point that I like the bad guy more. The ML is and idiot (falls into traps that are very clear traps, etc)the king too, the FL is infuriating. The kings warriors are supposed to be the best but are idiots. The bad guys people are always getting into the palace and they never seem to see or realize it. In the palace everyone knows (including the king) that a lot of the servants there work for the bad guy, but do they get rid of them?? NO they don’t. The bad guy’s people come in and out like it’s nothing. The bad guy has power but is openly committing treason and the king doesn’t order his people to kill him (even at one point the ML has his sword to his neck and asks the king if he wants him to kill the guy but nope. The plot is idiotic but it keeps you hooked. I’ll watch a few more episodes and if it continues like this I’ll drop it.

Totally agree with you. I was enjoying their story so much, they’re love and the way they treated each other and then boom a hot mess was created for no reason 😭

I don’t take advice from fake shows or anything fake. I watch shows for entertainment. Google has things that are fake but also has a lot of stuff that is real. By you implying that everything on google is “fake” you’re just showing your ignorance.

I was loving the FL best friend relationship with her husband. They were both so kind and understanding with each other and the writers ruined it in the dumbest way possible. She finds his texts with the other woman, the texts don’t have anything incriminating other than they’ve been working together and having dinner together because of work. Obviously the woman had bad intentions but he didn’t. His fault was hiding all of that from his wife. Then she follows him and very conveniently sees the other woman kiss him. She doesn’t wait to see what her husband does (he later explains he pushed her off). Decides she’ll divorce him right away. The dude gets sick because of stress. She goes to the hospital and tells him she’s decided to not love him anymore and basically that because she willed it the love is gone right then and there, like what?????? Mind you, a day ago she was madly in love with her husband. Then she grieves the loss of her marriage for 5 seconds and then is completely fine. The most unrealistic story ever. Then the writers try to make things happen (doesn’t work) between her and ML best friend. Who for half of the series we’re told was a womanizer and then they try to make him be so innocent and good by saying it was all fake and he’s never been in a relationship. It was all so awful. On another note, They should’ve ended the show at the game or something. They never went back 😩

The best part of this drama is the main couple’s relationship. The way it was developed and the way they were with each other. I loved it. I also liked the “villain”, I really liked the way the writers wrote his character. At one point, I even felt bad for him. The thing I hated the most was what the writers did to the FL best friend. I was so mad I almost dropped the show. They did her dirty.
A character that was very bland and didn’t show up much but I strongly disliked, was the ML mother, what a waste of space that lady was. She was extremely dumb and only thought about her well being. All in all I really enjoyed the show mostly for the main leads relationship.

I don’t know Korean and noticed that too. Through the years I’ve picked up on certain Korean words and they were not translated correctly on Netflix.
