I stand by what I said. Higher ratings don’t mean people are right. It’s been proven in movies, books etc. Sometimes people give higher ratings to dramas just because they’re fans of the actors not because the story is great. Fans tend to be blind when it comes to the people they like. In this case, acting was excellent, the story not so much.

I can do and write whatever I feel like. I already stated In the section I marked as “spoilers” some of the stuff that was awfully written and there was so much more. I don’t need to explain myself to you. If you didn’t like my comment, you could’ve kept scrolling. As simple as that.

I finally find a comment that relates to what I was thinking. The drama was excellent until episode 10. After that the writers made everyone an idiot except for the bad guys. It was frustrating to see and that ending …..

I agree with you. It was entertaining. To me the acting was a masterpiece, the writing was not. Have you watched Beyond evil? If u haven’t, I highly recommend it.

I didn’t think she cried that much and even when she did she didn’t loose it. She was always very strong even in crying. What bothered me though was, that she was extremely smart in the whole drama and after episode 11 they made her dumb (with everyone else) she couldn’t even put handcuffs on the bad guy. I was so annoyed at the writers.

It is worth watching once for the acting but the writers ruined the story for me after episode 10.

The first thing is that in the drama they kept going back and forth saying at times 18 years had gone by and at other times that it was 15. Also, the ML fake parents didn’t grow tocare for him and his family in 18 years? Specially the mother who ends up stabbing her real son after she found out he was a serial killer. Then it takes her 18 years to try and kill him again while he was in a coma. Also, the parents of the killer trying to keep him alive for that long knowing what he had done. Also, nobody, family, friends and staff realizing the dude was missing for that long. Then he wakes up and can talk right away and starts walking a few days later. Then the maid who had always known who he was and had always been meek and quiet, decided to go crazy and gets killed (how convenient for the writers). The ML’s sister showing up at the doctors house that late at night. Then the main couple show up (already been suspicious of the doctor) and miraculously their car is in the garage so the killer can pit the maids body in it. Anywho, there were soooo many dumb stuff that happened after episode 10. That I can’t keep writing it because it’ll take the whole page. It is worth watching but there’s no way this is a better drama than Beyond evil simply because the writing in this is subpar.

My favorite crime/ Thriller drama is Beyond evil 10/10 for me. I can’t believe this one (Flower of evil has a higher rating when it was not executed well in the last 6 episodes. I really wanted to love this drama but after episode 10, the writers decided everyone was an idiot (including the police) except for the bad guys. I was so irritated at how they were ruining an excellent drama, that I almost didn’t finish it. The ending was underwhelming too. I’ll post as spoiler under this comment some of the stupid stuff that happened that made no sense. I do have to say, the acting was excellent. Everyone did a great job. I loved the main leads relationship, the father/daughter relationship. It was also interesting to see how a child’s behavior can be influenced by what adults tell them.

Totally agree with you. I do have to say though, I liked the fact she knew how to cook hahhaha I hate when in dramas grown women who live by themselves can’t cook.

Thanks for the very well written explanation. I’ve watched too many Korean dramas for very many years and totally understand the honorifics and all of that. However, it’s not done like that in all the dramas (calling each other Mr and Ms even after dating) so it leads me to believe it doesn’t happen often in real life Amongst people that are dating. You are right about the idols not dating, I read that somewhere but I thought it only pertained to kpop artists. I totally understood why she called her manager oppa but couldn’t understand why she kept calling the man she slept with Mr.

It’s boring until the end. It does have interesting parts at times but the couple remains boring.

I really wanted to love this drama ( I love the main leads) but I ended up finding it boring at times. Don’t get me wrong, it’s good and entertaining and sweet. It had the potential to be great and it just wasn’t. The side love stories were better than the main one. The main leads relationship was boring and underwhelming. They spent all 16 episodes calling each other Mr Kwon and Ms. Oh (I hate when they do this in dramas, is not cute, is dumb and doesn’t make the couple feel close to each other) while she kept calling her manager “Oppa”. I seriously couldn’t buy the idea that 2 grown people (specially in her career) had never dated before and were so cute and innocent. I felt that took away from the drama and I never believed in their love for each other. Even after they (obviously) slept together, she was all blushing and shy when he gave her a peck on the cheek the next Day (annoying to say the least). This drama felt more like a high school drama than a grownup one. They tried to portray the ML as a cold man but I found him to be a workaholic who was introverted and boring. I did enjoy the drama and it made me laugh a few times.

The mess with the BFF was too much. They should’ve chosen another character to do that and not him. They were like brothers, he helped the company be built and when some random person sends a letter and audio accusing his “brother” his first reaction is to ruin the company he helped built? Instead of talking to him and confronting him? Really? I hated that the ML invited him back to the company again. After all the stuff he didn’t (no matter the reason) he showed him what he was capable of. Also the ex girlfriend was a really nice person and then they turned her into this crazy woman who wants revenge? For what? Also, the 12 years she supposedly was in love with him, I didn’t believe that. If it was 5 maybe, but 12 years? And she expected him to still be in love with her? Insanity

This show was an entertaining hot mess. It would’ve been great if it only remained a romcom but it also tried to be a melodrama for a few episodes and it couldn’t handle it. If you want to watch this show I highly recommend you do not take it seriously because the drama does not take itself seriously. It had many flaws but one thing the show did excellently is the love story. Their relationship was matured and beautifully done. Noh Go Jin was a very broken person. He had a lot of trauma and because of it became an awful adult, he was really bad but there was good growth. Another thing I liked is the fact that the FL knew how to cook. One of my biggest pet peeves in kdramas it’s when a grown woman who lives by herself (or with a roomate) doesn’t know how to cook. One thing I didn’t like is the fact that the ML’s BFF and ex girlfriend were genuinely good people and they did things completely out of character for them. One of my favorite characters (who didn’t have much screen time) was the private investigator. He was hilarious.

I agree with you. This was a great drama if people watch it for more than the love story but human behavior, childhood trauma, struggles and growth.

The stupid 2 year long distance relationship where one of them has to go live somewhere else and it always has to be 1 to 2 years. It’s overdone and dumb. Does any one know who can I send a letter to so this people stop doing this in every drama? Hahahaha I totally would. Do not keep reading if u haven’t watch Dali and the cocky prince……The only drama that did it right in my opinion was Dali and the Cocky prince. They make u believe at the end that they had separate it for a couple of years but they didn’t and I loved that.

I loved this series. It was heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time, without been sad. It’s a story of broken people that have their own way with coping with brokenness and trauma. We see how everyone’s decision in life was different and took them on a path. There was a lot of character growth on everyone and we even see it in the main couples relationship, how they grew as people. Slowly but steadily. How everyone in their own way, realized why they were the way they were and what had caused it. I liked every character, even Ung’s best friend, even though he was boring and depressive, but I understood why he was like that. He really did love Ung and his parents. I wished they wouldn’t have added the fact that he had a crush on the FL for that many years. I found it unnecessary and dumb (they could have done without that. From the beginning u can tell that she was never going to see him any other way, not in a million years). I liked the fact that the actress was not annoying. I wished they showed more of the back story of Ji Ungs mom and Ung’s parents. I wished also, that the ending would’ve been longer (even though it was a good ending). I also would’ve like for the FL to honestly explained to Ung why she did what she did in the past. All in all I loved this drama, it’s deeper than meets the eye. One thing I hated just because I hate it in Korean dramas and it’s done in 90% of them (and it’s my biggest pet peeve) is………

I really liked what u said at the end. I guess our experiences have been very different. I made the decision to cut emotions and be done with feelings, very abruptly so I couldn’t understand her. I wouldn’t start a relationship if I still have feelings for someone else. That’s why we saw that scene differently :)

I don’t think he ever had any feelings for her other than friends. I don’t think it was because of memories that he let go of the restaurant, it was just bad writing. A successful chef who owns a restaurant and has doors open to him, has work hard for that and it’s obviously a dream come true. Nobody in real life would drop all of that to go on a random trip. What didn’t sit well with me is the fact that she said that she still had feelings for him (not as a friend but as a man) when she’s already in a relationship with the ML.
