There's a really good song that has played in the background of at least 2 episodes that I can recall, including today's (when Kim Hae Jun passes out), but Shazam is giving me nothing š
I'm 6 episodes in & still watching but I have a lot of conflicting feelings about the series thus far.
Like Ter & North's friendship. They are a riot in scenes together & I adore them. But Ter as an individual character? He's too childish.
From the first scene Pond had me believing Hill was down bad for Ter & Ter only! But why? What does Hill see in him? Whatever it is I haven't seen it. Their coupling & story is a total snoozefest!
I was so close to dropping the series an episode or two back but I'm glad I didn't because now I'm wholly interested in North & Johan + Fah & Phoon !? š
I'm also really liking the support characters like Mei Li, Pheem & Bua!
I think he and NP are woefully mismatched and lack even the slightest bit of chemistry but saying he should dump…
I think there are a lot of valid criticisms being made for NP but I havenāt seen anyone attacking his looks here or elsewhere. If people are doing that under the guise of an opinion then yeah thatās not right, but his acting and everything else pertaining to that is fair game for opinions. You might not like or agree with many of them but it is what it is. As long as itās not attacking looks then itās simply an opinion you donāt share.
Side note - itās interesting to me is how the fans who were mostly united while the series was airing are beginning to break in half. Where before yāall were arguing with Khemjira haters and had the series to defend and now itās Keng solos. As a fan of neither, I think NP might be doing himself a disservice and making the hate for himself worse by always doing all the talking. If I were a Keng solo fan (Iām not) Iād probably be annoyed by NP doing all the talking on THEIR behalf. Maybe thatās the issue here⦠uneven grounds. While Keng might be booking more gigs, itās NP acting as the sole mouthpiece for their pairing. I can see that being off putting for solo fans.

I understand what youāre saying but thatās how it is with most partners, fixed or otherwise, so the āhateā is not new or exclusive to Namping or Keng. Youāre probably just noticing it now or more because you have a fondness for this particular pair but itās a prevelant occurance plaguing most partnerships. For Example, Daou and Offroad - the latter had been hit with heavy criticisms and comparisons in the years theyāve been working together. I never thought he was a bad actor or singer but he heard the feedback and put in the work to improve on his craft and it paid off because these days a lot of the critics who had previously looked down on him for being āless-thanā Daou have taken to complimenting him on his efforts and improvements.
Making a big deal of solo work is crazy. Most take on solo work. As they should, itās their job! Maybe itās being brought up here because Namping has yet to do anything else whereas Keng has done other things outside their pairing but maybe thatās a personal choice. Iāve seen some say NP comes from money so maybe that explains why he isnāt booking solo gigs because he doesnāt have to whereas most of the guys in the industry arenāt as financially fortunate and do need to stay booked and busy. Iām sure Keng will feel heat at some point too though if he hasnāt already because Iāve noticed strictly BL fans can sometimes be less forgiving and unsupportive towards the half of the pair who takes on straight solo work. But what are they supposed to do? Not work? Lol
keng go solo man. Do more songs, movies and dramas with jeffsatur.seriously you will rock it with jeff.Don't waste…
I think he and NP are woefully mismatched and lack even the slightest bit of chemistry but saying he should dump him to go solo and then saying he should do more projects with Jeff is not going solo lol
I dislike fixed ships in general but unfortunately they sell more than the actual dramas and seeing as this series was āpopularā itās highly unlikely Keng would be able to go solo or transition into a new ship anytime soon even IF he wanted to because the bulk of his fandom is now ship-based with NP, who is REALLY committed to their ship. Hopefully he is comfortable with where heās at though and not feeling stuck. Thatās the most important thing.
Ending the last episode with a cliffhanger hinting at a secondary season and then not paying your actors is a genius move, said no one ever. Like what was the point?!
I liked this but wtf was that ending?! They made us wait years for this to come out only to leave it unfinished?! I see them teasing a second season on š now which I doubt would ever happen but if it does itāll take no less than 5 years (if not more) before it sees the light of day!
Also, Bossās āPhuā was a real standout here which I wasnāt expecting seeing as heās not even part of the Domundi gang š
Loved the series overall but Iād be lying if I said the last episode wasn't disappointing. It just wasnāt a satisfying enough conclusion to what had otherwise been a really strong series and build up. None of the other episodes felt rushed yet this last one did. Maybe it needed to be 20 minutes longer or something.
We didnāt even get that standoff scene on the roof! š
Respectfully, whoever is ācreativelyā responsible for this strange and pointless garbage fire should consider a different career path. Iāve seen better productions from first year film students than whatever this wants to be.
I read a number of threads detailing the "issues" with the novel author and her work but I'm still not grasping why it's series cancellation worthy. Is this just a big deal in Thailand? Because here in the states there have been a lot of fanfics with authors who later got publishing deals and/or screen adaptations of their works and even with the obligatory name changes most never really hid who their original characters were inspired by and/or based on.
Basis for the characters aside, isn't the story itself still original? It's not like the people she based her characters on are actual time travelers or whatever. From what I understand, she didn't plagiarize anything story wise and isn't it the story that matters? Seems more like an issue of her using one's likeness for her concepts.

In any case, I need more Daou x Offroad ASAP!

I feel for the actors.

Maybe there's a part I'm still missing though.
