No couple from domundi has the chemistry like Khem and Peem. I will definitely conclude that you only like nc…
I hear ya. For me it's easier to tolerate and even excuse a series like Cutie Pie because they're more fluff than not and don't claim to be anything more than that so I can usually enjoy them for what they are. Series like this though I take more seriously and expect more from. And after the mess that was TNP I was really hoping this wouldn't turn out to be yet another snooze fest. It was slow to start and still boring but I don't feel like I was duped by the pilot or trailer in the way I was with TNP so it's got that going for it lol
After the last episode I agree about the actor playing Khem. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt because the character is insufferable and the actor may have been guided to play him a certain way but I'm beginning to think that's not the issue, which could also explain the lack of chemistry with the other lead who's acting is more convincing.
The biggest problem with GMMTV nowadays is mediocre directors and bad screenwriters; a mediocre actor is easier…
They are spreading themselves too thin. These companies need to invest in having more directors and writers on their rosters if they want to keep producing series around the clock.

This. Directors and screenwriters have their hands in too many projects. Rarely ever is their focus on one at a time, from start to finish without interruption. It's no wonder so many of these series end up with as many continuity errors and underdeveloped plots and characters as they do. It's not just GMMMTV either. At this point these companies are competing with each other to see which one can pump out the most hot messes - using the same 1-3 directors - in a fiscal period.
Ep 2 and 3 - How in the world did we wait this long for this series, and yet the fight scenes are SO BADLY CHOREOGRAPHED???…
Feels like only one of them is checked in. This is a downside of fixed pairs unfortunately. Both need to feel connected to the story and the characters they're portraying in order for that chemistry to come through. At the same time they're also expected (and often want, of course) to take on work together but if say one wanted to do a project more than the other then compromises will likely be made. Could be the case here and if so may explain what's translating onscreen.
Kan sweetie your man is quite literally bleeding out on the ground before you and you're not doctoring! Where is the Kan who sidestepped Per with quickness to tend to that psycho's "wounds" in ep. 8?!
something weird about the shots of the tent from the outside as they go at it in peak daylight. it's giving green screen lol. def a clever way to capture the shot, just awkwardly executed I think.
thank god they pulled an eleventh hour switch up on the actor for Knight though. Had they kept the OG these intimacy scenes would've looked super creepy with the wider age gap.
I watched love in translation and watched century of love and was so shocked by his short hair that I couldn’t…
!!! I was shocked (AGAIN!) to have learned his LiT hair was a wig! Apparently he'd been in midst of military duties at the time so his real hair was closer to a buzz cut.

Too true! And that series is a great example! I started it just before it had finished airing and was bored to tears. Ended up dropping it before the end. At that time though most of the commentary seemed to feel more or less the same about it. FF a couple weeks later, series has concluded and I'm suddenly seeing praise for it which had me mildly curious as to the reason for the turnabout only to find out it was the NC episode. Like what?! Naturally I had to go back and watch this unicorn of a scene that seemingly swayed the masses and WTF. The scene was so awkward which on one hand was totally on brand for the characters and on the other felt strangely misplaced - like it belonged to a different series entirely.
Honestly, I feel like a lot of these showrunners rely on NC scenes as a means of damage control to distract from the sheer mediocrity of the series they make . Much like you said, the audience will eat those scenes up and showrunners have taken notice of that and are merely providing accordingly. Take TNP for example - had everything going for it from the cast to the visuals but it was just a shiny facade with a directionless story that lost every bit of the hype and momentum it had going in the longer it dragged on. The epitome of a series on life support. And how did they end it? With a 10 minute NC scene. Damage control!
With that said, I would watch those actors in something else in the future because I don't know that the chemistry was totally nonexistent. I think there's more of a chance it was just hindered and plagued by a really bad script with even worse characters who were downright unlikable and ultimately a romance I simply could not comprehend enough to buy into. And yes the acting wasn't great but I think one of them was new to acting so I give grace. The next project should hopefully clear things up there.

It really was a great wig!
She will be missed 😭
meek Mild has left the chat
He really loves getting into these petty tiffs with the girls. Would've liked to see him knock Per's mother down a few pegs.
this series is so unserious 🤣
is it just me or is there something endearing in the way Kan says Per's name?
at this pace Tum + Klah *might* get to high-five in the finale 🙃
